I am reading C;H at the moment. I can't say I'm feeling it. I love the schizo approach to the main character but the cast is quite dull so far and the winding and warping of the story is questionable when it occurs through a unreliable narrator. Rather than feel shocked and rewarded when a twist happens it's just frustration that the MC twisted things again.
That said I think I am only 5-7 chapters in, we'll see how things change when he gets his di-sword and shit.
The one thing I have liked so far is that they make it expressly clear later on that he never actually did witness the staking.

Also: DID is a meme and not a real disorder. It's popularisation in fiction is both damaging to losers who will pretend to have it and an awful cliche to read (even though it will turn out not to be DID)

There was no point. It was the bigest mistake in the entire VN.

The cast doesn't really shine in the main route, since it's mostly about Takumi and Shogun.
The unreliable narrator is the best thing about Chaos;Head as you have to piece together the story on your own.

Yeah I know about how it happened. Further, is the route decided entirely by his fetishes at the start? That seems like a sort of shit way to do things. I ran it through and got knee socks but restarted to try and get glasses and knee socks and ended up saying yes to all, so yeah I am on the main route it seems.

The questions at the start only have a change on wether Grim will wear glasses or not.
The A Route has two endings A and AA, this is decided by the questions at the very end.
The B Route can only be entered by getting every "whose eyes are those eyes" delusion and on a second playthrough. It branches at the final chapter.
AA is the canon ending. Additionally there is a bad ending in chapter 6, if you answer the questions incorrectly. Those questions only appear if you don't select any delusion trigger on O-Front. And in my personal opinion that scene is the best in the entire game and thus you shouldn't select a trigger there.
