Most of it is pretty shit like OP's Kuzu no Honkai (aka NTR and Cuck The Anime). There are some shows I'll probably watch just for the laughs but then again that's it. The only show that's caught my interest so far is ACCA and that's only cuz of the catchy OP and style.
Handshakers it the only anime that airs this season that will remain relevant past it and has influence not limited show itself.
Handshakers is the look in the future - an anime ahead of its time, showing how the visual media will evolve in near perspective, moving away from classic standards of flat static flapping mouths animation and daring to experiment and show that anime can be more than that - more dynamic, featuring real visual depth, possible future integration to VR standard.
Its not revolutionary, it just summs up all the technological and creative trends developing right now and transgresses the current narrative, creating a work so far ahead of others it revolting for the traditionalists just as driving high speed car was nauseating for the people that never rode anything faster than horse.
