Is Saitama the strongest anime character in all of Anime? Is there a single person that might actually do something to him?

Saitama is probably on par with SSB Goku so Beerus could beat him

I know this is bait but I'll respond anyways because I'm stupid.

Anime? Isn't it just a regular cartoon?

ONE PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCHI

Maybe you should ask this question on r/anime

Same thing

Why is this bait? It's a fun question about theory crafting. The guy seem impossible to hurt and can one shot anybody with mostly a single punch.

I printed out a picture of Saitama, and tore it in half. They call me, One Tear Man. In his universe, he is probably the strongest. In my universe, I just rip him in half.

Droopy Dog would win. You can't truly compare strength when characters are comedic, if you remove him from being a gag character and just look at his strengths several characters can beat him and he wouldn't stand a chance against God Mecha like EGD or Getter Emperor. But since he's a gag character it can be argued he can't lose.

For fucks sake. Why does someone always have to start this bullshit thread again and again. Saitama is a joke character so only another joke character can beat him

/thread

Was she the best girl? or the only girl that isn't a mosquito

Nope, he is the strongest, surely the apex, now that your question is answered you can now leave this board forever.

Yeah, because One Punch man is popular? Sup Forums only talk about obscure and mature anime

I dont frequent Sup Forums, I dont like little girls enough for that, so I dont see the frequency at which those are posted.

Well it's like saying that you can talk about One Piece characters because they are mostly "funny" characters. Sure his role is to be a parody of the Anime world with and be a huge contrast to the "cool" anime characters that are supposed to be really powerful. But he still have a shown power level.

>It's a fun question about theory crafting.
Considering omnipotent characters exist in anime/manga, this isn't a very fun question.
Omnipotence is always the one thing ruining these discussions.

>I dont like little girls enough for that

Fuck
Out
Of
Here

Sure, of course you cant compare Gods with actual characters.

No, obviously Sup Forums is for Le funni shitposting

Now fuck off

...

>But he still have a shown power level.
If you consider guys shown power level plenty can beat his ass up and down the street. Reality altering characters, god characters, and he is nowhere near the strength of God Mecha as I mentioned before.

Beerus can beat anyone because he has the universal eraser given to him by God.

How is this shitposting? Starting a discussion about an anime on the anime board is not shitposting.

>writes Saitama into the death note

A fucking notebook can kill him.

/thread.

Strictly speaking, Gods are also characters.
Where do you draw the line between a god and a character? Because, not all gods are omnipotent.

wrong 「Shiki」

Do we know his full name?

You cant really do power comparaison with people that have omnipotence. Omnipotence is literally "Anything you can imagine, or cant imagine, he can do it".

If they dont have Omnipotence like Thanos for example, then yeah you can have a conversation.

Bites the dust molds reality in a way that he can kill anyone or anything who tries to uncover Kira's identity through a victim (Independenly of Strength and Resistance), so unless Saitama invents a joke power or finds Yoshikage directly, he is quite fucked.

>The no limits fallacy is the illogical idea that a poorly understood phenomenon can be extrapolated to infinity or assumed to not have any maximum value or threshold.
The whole idea that Saitama is invincible comes from this. "He's never been hurt before, therefore people way stronger than the ones he has fought wouldn't be able to hurt him either." Yeah, great logic.

Well Saitama do not really have powers. He just punch stuff. He do not have magic powers, or weird things. He's just really fit and punch stuff.

youtube.com/watch?v=bbmlMx5A87A

>I dont see the frequency at which those are posted.
It's fucking everyday. Sometimes several times a day.
And powerlevel discussion is retarded no matter how often it comes up.

Doesn't matter. Saitama is a dumbass who would give out his full name just by asking him.

And even if he didn't,we have shinigami eyes for that, son.

So a person being able to do anything you can imagine, except for winning a game of tennis, is also usable for comparison?
Because, technically, that person is not omnipotent.
I'm being an autist now, aren't I?

Arale vs Vegeta illustrate this well.

Kinda yeah. When you start to include people who can alter the reality of the universe, you have to put them away from people who just punch stuff.

For example, here is Spiderman with the All Mighty God eating a hot dog. They are not in the same category.

Accelerator stomps Saitama.

I dont know who this Accelerator guy is.
youtube.com/watch?v=B4bXaBIwQV4

He seem fast?

What about all of the omnipotent characters in anime?

Dont really count like we discussed. You dont compare Omnipotence with actual skill.

Sakamoto would defeat Saitama, prove me wrong

He can reflect anything that has a vector so if Saitama tries to punch him, the punch will return 2x stronger. Even if Saitama is durable as fuck, He can't do anything about Accelerator unless he destroys Earth and make Accelerator lose oxygen in space.

Peter your aunt is in her fucking 80s. Get the fuck over it.

Seem like if he punch him but then go in the opposite direction at the moment he activate the Vector, it would punch him. And he would die.

"The barrier for his redirection is not an absolute defense, as Kihara Amata has demonstrated. Since it only reverses the vectors that are coming towards him, any vector that comes towards his barrier and pulls away at the exact moment before hitting its field will go towards Accelerator.[16]

Furthermore, attacks that are built upon laws or vectors unknown to him can penetrate his defense, such as what Kakine Teitoku did with the light passing through his white wings[10] or the attacks that Aiwass made on him that cut him down.[17]

However, due to the nature of his power and Accelerator's massive calculating prowess, Accelerator can change the rules of his filter system.[10]

Finally, like all supernatural phenomena, the Imagine Breaker can bypass the field that protects Accelerator, though it is not known if he can negate the field."

Yeah that was before when he relied too much on his abilities. He now constantly changes how his reflection works so no one can exploit it again. And only Kihara Amata was able to do it because he was closely studying how Accelerator's powers worked. Anyone that doesn't know how thin/thick Accelerator's invisible shield is and tries to imitate with Kihara did, would just end up getting their bones broken.

If Saitama attacked Last Order and the Sisters (The clones that does Accelerator's calculation after he got brain damaged) then he might have a chance, but that won't stop Accelerator since he can go white wing mode at will where his wings does the calculations for him.

...

Powerlevel discussion outside of a single universe is akin to shitposting.

demonbane

If you remove the "gag" from Saitama's character then he's just a guy who's physically extremely strong and fast. So there are plenty of characters that could beat Saitama. But again Saitama is a "gag" character so its hard to have any power level discussion on him seriously.

Between him and Onii-sama, whoever gets the first hit

No. Not even close.

pls, average shonen MC is better at the friendship game

It's a pointless question to ask because we don't know what his limits are. He's a gag character who isn't meant to be taken seriously.

You may as well be asking if anyone could possibly defeat popeye with spinach.

yes. saitama is the epitome of that moment in childhood when we argued with our friends of who could imagine a bigger number and you tried to say infinity plus one. whatever powerlevel your character is, saitama is that plus one (punch).

>The whole idea that Saitama is invincible comes from this.
Actually it comes from basically being popeye. His gimmick is to defeat anything in a single hit. You can't narratively write something that works around that while still saying you're dealing with OPM.

A guy who's extremely fast and strong and also heavily resistant to being lifted by psychic powers, even by someone who can casually pull a meteor down to Earth. You don't get that last part just by being really fast and strong.

yo momma could sit on him and he'd be crushed

Demonbane, The Flash, Accelerator

On par with canon Sues.

So basically unbeatable in his setting, then again.
Then again, just like sues as he's a gag character with his gimmick being to be able to one punch everything. You can't really have a serious power level discussion like that.

The only people who could defeat Saitama are other gag characters.

Zen-Oh, the Omni-King from Dragon Ball, could wipe out Saitama and everything else in the universe.

...

So what happens when two gag characters fight? Draw? Never ending fight? Does one cancel out the other?

Saitama vs Arale, I'd watch that.

>Writes his full name
>heart attack
>Saitama punch himself and his heart begins to function again

He's a gag character specifically designed to be invincible and omnipotent when it comes to combat. He is physically the strongest character and fiction and fairly powerful metaphysically as the plot will adapt to put him in a favorable position.

He can defeat any tangible entity in one punch. It's in the title for fucks sake. The only times he doesn't win in one punch is because he's holding back to see if the fight will make him excited.

Yes, he can beat Goku/Superman/The Flash/Demonbane. He can beat them all in a 4 v 1 battle royale. Stop making powerlevel threads involving Saitama. The only entities that could possibly beat Saitama are beings that are omnipotent in a metaphysical sense (gods that can manipulate reality and are acknowledged stronger than him, many gods would still job to Saitama because he has a high resistance to their powers) or beings which are omnipotent in a pataphysical sense (only ONE can do this by writing a character stronger than Saitama and I don't see him doing it since it would invalidate the purpose of the narrative).

Who is that cat? Japan's Garfield?

Anyone who can one-shot him when he's not ready for a fight.

Doing a power scale comparison -
We saw Saitama easily manhandle Boros.

Boros was capable of destroying a planet as an ultimate, final, last-ditch super attack.

In DBZ, when they first introduce Vegeta, he can blow up a planet with a casual wave of his finger. So clearly Vegeta is much more powerful than Boros. This would suggest that Boros' power level is about equivalent to Nappa's, since it's likely that if Nappa went all out he might be able to blow up a planet.

This means that Saitama's power level is comparable to someone who could easily mop the floor with Nappa. This puts Saitama at around Freeza's power level, or being generous, Super Sayan Goku.

We certainly haven't seen anything from Saitama to suggest he's close to as strong as SSJ2 Goku, let alone someone like Buu, Cell or Beerus.

>taking fictional characters this seriously
kys

Not if he punches Kira right after he triggers BTD. And considering the moon jump after Boros kick, he is quite fast.

>Who is that cat? Japan's Garfield?

If Jon was a trio of cute girls and their cutie mum and Garfield was an ecchi sage

I posted this once but:

1 - anyone with intangibility at least reach a stalemate as he can't one punch them.

2 - Time travelers are guaranteed to beat him as they can kill him before he got stuper

3 - Time stoppers are also strong candidates as they can attack him freely in ways not possible while time goes by (poke his eyes out, reach hand into mouth and smash his guts, etc...)

4 - Any decent reality bender is above Saitama.

Some reality bending powers might work but it's fairly certain that telekinesis and psionic abilities don't do anything to him.

Why specifically target me with that comment and not everyone posting in this thread? At least I'm stating facts instead of rehashing the same "can X beat Saitama?" discussion for the millionth time.

youtube.com/watch?v=6UmEch1eRXo
Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru

...

Isn't he just extremely resistant to it? I think Tatsumaki was at least able to lift him a bit and the alien in Boro's ship was able to communicate with him telepathically. That's also assuming all telekenetic powers work on the same principle.

someone draw this please

>Here is a bald gag character who can beat anyone effortlessly due to undefined limits with anime reality bender x who can also beat anyone effortlessly with undefined limits
Same shit different coat of paint.
This is like watching a fucking child go nu-uh that doesnt count because i say so. Get over yourself

Planets in DBZ are made of cheese and flimsy sticks. Literally anyone could blow up a DBZ planet. Also, the DBZ universe resides inside a small bus station locker inside OPM universe.

>Yes, he can beat Goku/Superman/The Flash/Demonbane. He can beat them all in a 4 v 1 battle royale. Stop making powerlevel threads involving Saitama. Elder God Demonbane falls into those latter categories.

Saitama's powers aren't even understood by his own setting. Literally nobody knows how he got so strong. Accelerator's powers wouldn't work on Saitama because they defy the laws of physics.

Erza and her plot shield would be a threat to Saitama.

Elder God Demonbane is really strong in a metaphysical sense. Since Saitama's power revolves around being an absolute power then he'd possibly be able to fight it, but I think Demonbane has some restriction against fighting other Demonbanes or something so they wouldn't fight naturally anyways.

Define gag character.

He's a parody character for sure , but people try to pass him off has a gag character yet saitama never breaks the 4th wall, nor does he have zany actions.

I guess "gimmick character" would be more fitting than "gag character", but hos entire purpose is that he is omnipotent in a physical sense. He is made out to be invincible and have such high physical capabilities that they cannot be measured or understood. The themes of the manga revolve around how anticlimactic and immersion breaking this power is and how the people around Saitama interact with him rather than his own feats because we know that it's impossible for him lose a fight.
