He was deemed 17 because social workers do age assessments, not doctors. Doctors refuse to do them on 'ethical' grounds because there's apparently "no medical and scientific way of absolutely verifying someone's age" (direct quote told to me by multiple doctors). This is bullshit, they're abrogating their responsibility.
Social workers who do these assessments also fall under the category of 'fresh off the boat' or '2nd gen immigrant' because few natives will debase themselves for such a pittance and zero thanks in exchange for marginal job security.
I've seen one, just ONE of hundreds of "refugee children" come through this year remotely look like a child. Some look 40, some are psychotic and admit to having killed multiple people in the past, one out of all claimants even claimed to be Syrian (he was obviously over 30). .ist are from Sudan and Ethiopia.
They all have TB, most have hep and prob HIV but we don't test for any of these as standard.

It's why conscription in most countries starts at 16-18 and not 20-21: a 20 year old is an adult, has probably worked, developed habits that cannot be undone, has a sense of independence and cannot be shaped like raw metal the way a 16 year old, or younger, can. The younger the better. That's why child soldiers are so popular in Africa. You get them before they develop any sense of right and wrong and they will do untold evil for you without batting an eyelid.
This would not ever happen if the west didn't provide the incentive for people to leave their countries and try their luck. As i said, in my line of work I'm in the position to look hundreds in the face this year. I have seen one that looked like a kid (macedonian, only one from that country I've seen) and one girl who was south east Asian, (only one I've seen from east of Afghanistan: she may have been under 18). A handful from Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, none of whom were under 25, the rest Sudanese (85%) Eritrean/Ethiopian/Somalian (10-12%), none if whom are under 20.
None of the girls are coming through UK social services but they are definitely leaving their home countries and getting prostituted. Few leave Africa and even fewer make it to Europe, let alone UK.
