Problems with communism

I accidentally closed out my other post, which was my first post. I'm not an ANTIFA faggot, but I've always kind of been interested in communism. Besides obvious things like starvation, what do you guys find wrong with communism?

-Also, how do you all feel about Vladimir Lenin? I think he was a good history figure.

Well, if you like shit like ordering the execution of children, and gassing starving peasants, Marxism-Leninism is a thing for you!

those countries starved way more before the communist regimes. they started with shittier hands i.e. if it was the USA that had a communist revolution instead, there would have no food issues

Perhaps not, but it would have all other sorts of issues.
Besides, why would you need command economy in USA?
USA was already an industrialized country. So you wouldn't get any benefits at all. Only thing commies managed was rapid industrialization, and shit like improving literacy and healthcare.
But all that progress hit the wall fast, due to inherent problems with such a system.

also, lenin was great for russia. turned an agrarian poor shit hole into an industrialized super power.

Right, communism would have never (fortunately or not) worked in the U.S because the country was already fully industrialized and literate. But for small , then third world, countries centralized economy did miracles. In countries like Yugoslavia, late implementations of open market mixed with state ownership over big businesses turned out even better. I'd argue that the Balkans need the return of worker selfmanagment because the rapid introduction of capitalism only rolled us back 40 years (Literally de-industrialization due to selling all major industries to foreign investors who saw the only profit in striping the factories and selling them in pieces)

the only problem I have with it, is with Soviet like models (and not to forget the new emerging faggot-western-cuck communists). The extremely centralized market will always only lead to corruption and inevitably cracking from the inside. The industry must be controlled by the workers, but in such manor that it's not Workers->State->Factories , but a more direct one. (like self-management, where the state only has influence over some big businesses, while they are self-managed from withing and act as any other business on the market)

Marxist Leninism is a way more sound ideology than any of those ancom faggots and any other gay ass off branch of marxism
give foundations of Leninism by Stalin a read
its a good book and it outlines there social patriotism similar to civic nationalism but less retarded and useless.

also this

I believe that 90% of Sup Forums would actually realize they are hard leftists (if we exclude all the Jew hating) if they actually knew a thing or two about the ideologies, people and history. Too bad it's just a giant circle jerk of sucking Hitlers dick

The problem with communism is very simple. Communism destroys the entrepreneurial spirit. Communism does not reward those who work the most. In Moscow during the soviet the apartments were all the same size, no?

>entrepreneurial spirit
>work the most

>the apartments were all the same size, no?
no

keep eating the frogs

Communism is really really good at killing communists.

>there would have no food issues
says who, you? the geopolitical, monetary, economic expert?
wow, give this man a nobel and a fields medal
let's discard all previous failed communist experiments, because this time, this time IS GONNA BE GUD. it's the US
because a centralized economy where only a handful of, I'm sure, non biased, brilliant, and fair overlords decide the next 5 year plan is more likely to succeed than a decentralized one with millions of independent, capitalistic, competing entrepeneurs
> hurr durr the US/West is not a decentralized economy, what a about the Fed/CEB/conglomerates
not an argument, still far more decentralized that any socialist counterpart, even if there's still centralized distortions
> but muh china
not an argument, china is less of a shithole today because it has embraced capitalism, even if it's in a limited form, not because it's more socialist

who decided the size of your moscow apartment in the 70s?

>Problems with communism
everything

>Problems with communism
a jew tool

The same type of people who decide your size of apartment in the 70s ?
I don't get it why all the west fags believe so firmly that in communism everything has to be same down to a millimeter. It's even often used as a propaganda tool
>HURR DURR COMMUNISM BAD BECAUSE ALL APARTMENTS AND CLOTHES AND CARS SAME
at least think of something constructive

...

ill admit i fell in with the reactionary WN/hitlerism
you know they redpills we all read, docs and books etc etc
read up on evola and the works then i started reading some strasser and other 3rd position works, crossed into ML and social patriotism and softened up on the ethno chauvinism.
right now im just kinda floating between ideology nothing concrete.

i mean at the end of the day this is literal pure ideology and we are still participating in the jewish/porky capitalist system and doing nothing but irl larping

...

...

...

Who would win ?
>a thread about communism
>an american with a folder full of redpills

I think these two are inseparable

...

you haven't answered the question
are you stating than the median moscow citizen had the same options for purchasing a house/flat in the 70s moscow than a median NY/London/Paris/SF/?

>amerishart education
Russia was already industrializing before WW1, Russian planners predicted that by 1917 Russia would be sufficiently industrialized to stand toe-to-toe with the Germans, although of course certain events prevented this course of action. But make no mistake, the idea of "feudal backwards Russia" was just that - an idea.

>at the end of the day this is literal pure ideology and we are still participating in the jewish/porky capitalist system and doing nothing but irl larping

that's really shit, I want to act, I want to sacrifice myself if that's what it takes to make changes but the people are inert fags who like living the status quo
>yeah it's shit
>but atleast I'm not dying

ever been in Eastern Europe ? The architect who designs the buildings, the same person who designs whatever you live in, designs the size and arrangement of the apartments. Only difference being your architect is hired by a private company, our architect was hired by the state. They didn't instruct him to make everything the same, buildings are built to have different size/shape of apartments. After all, you're an Amerifag sitting some 10 000 km from me who never even entered a Eastern European building, and I am an actual human being who lives in one of those blocks. Are you trying to convince me I am crazy and not seeing straight ?

FPBP

You had that backwards. Russia had farming collectives before USSR and they were inefficient. Russia then reformed to allow private ownership and increase co ops and support for grassroots growers and agriculture bloomed. Then the commies took over, stole the property, went back to collectives, and removed all private incentive from them so they were worse than before. They had two major famines in the beginning, one in 21-22 with 3m-5m deaths, and the holodomor a decade later. Two of the worst famines Russia had ever had. They actually went to China to learn how to farm and didn't like that the Chinese were using private incentives after Mao.

At their height, their GNP was only 60% of the USA's in 1974. That percentage went down after 74'.

See pic related in order to realize the myth of "Russian stagnation" is just that - a myth. Now, let's think. Who invented Communism? Who sent Lenin to Russia? Who might benefit from one of their continental rivals, soon to be far stronger than them, being eliminated?

>90% of Sup Forums would actually realize they are hard leftists
genuinely interested in why you think this

>Also, how do you all feel about Vladimir Lenin? I think he was a good history figure.
Lenin allowed small business owners and tradesmen to exist and make/sell their products. Local shoemakers, tailors, butchers, etc.
Stalin replaced all these people and their livelihoods by the State.

>Besides obvious things like starvation, what do you guys find wrong with communism?
>materialism
>reducing people to their needs rather than uplifting them to beyond
>rejection of soul, making humans into animals
>rejection of God
>Lysenkoism
>state-planning
>CP nepotism
>bureaucrat class
>wealth redistributor class
>involuntary/compulsory serfdom
>involuntary everything
>immorality

its hard to inspire change when a majority of first world counties can access food, fucking, and shelter with relative ease the cost may be pushed onto the backs of others but the majority will live a complacent life and not care.
only when first world nations experience true strife and challenges. then people will take action against the state and system

right now for most people everything is fucking golden so why revolt

>Lenin allowed small business owners and tradesmen to exist and make/sell their products

That was for a short time, and it's because they didn't know how to fix the economy so they threw their hands up in the air and just told the people to figure it out themselves. It's because they floored the economy with war communism after the civil war and after their attempted invasion of eastern Europe.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_communism

>A black market emerged in Russia, despite the threat of martial law against profiteering. The rouble collapsed and barter increasingly replaced money as a medium of exchange[9] and, by 1921, heavy industry output had fallen to 20% of 1913 levels. 90% of wages were paid with goods rather than money. 70% of locomotives were in need of repair, and food requisitioning, combined with the effects of seven years of war and a severe drought, contributed to a famine that caused between 3 and 10 million deaths.[10] Coal production decreased from 27.5 million tons (1913) to 7 million tons (1920), while overall factory production also declined from 10,000 million roubles to 1,000 million roubles. According to the noted historian David Christian, the grain harvest was also slashed from 80.1 million tons (1913) to 46.5 million tons (1920).

>Are you trying to convince me I am crazy and not seeing straight ?
> assuming I'm from the US
> assuming I didn't move from Eastern Europe
> assuming I haven't seen what communism has done to their peoples and landscapes
now we're making assumptions, I'm assuming it's you who is less than 25, never seen the true face of a centralized economy, lead by a bunch of people that at best, don't give a shit about you, and that you've never been to the US
hey, you still have Venezuela if you want to experience the beauties of socialism

>right now for most people everything is fucking golden so why revolt
It's golden for the western cultures, but I can assure you here it's far away from golden. But people aren't who they used to be, the furthest initiative they are willing to take is passive protesting and other Gandhi methods of resistance. Here, people are actually dying of hunger on the streets and the poverty line is extremely high. It's just that
>yeah, but I mean I have just enough to feed myself, I guess if it was a bit worse I would revolt
>hey, at least I'm not dying

People here used to start world wars because they had enough pride to refuse being ruled by someone, even though they weren't as oppressed. Now it's all meh

refer to my other post above, where I actually say I am against centralized economic systems. And although I haven't seen any centralized systems, I have seen what neo-liberalism does to small countries like Serbia. And it ain't pretty

There were posters put up in Stalinist Russia imploring people in areas of famine not to eat their own children. I find it funny that there are people alive today who laud Communism but would never dream of going to North Korea an actual relic of the states they worship.

Kulaks aren't human and if they were they have an iq of 20.

They were the highest producing element of the USSR. Then the commies killed them and took their land. While they exported food. In the middle of a famine.

>not an argument
communists aren't human

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy." - Winston Churchill

Socialists/Communists are driven by jealousy & resentment. i.e.: evil motherfuckers.

You think it's coincidence Socialism produces dictator after dictator?? Think again.

>They were the highest producing element of the USSR
And the system was Communist, they did the equivalent of trying to form a ancap "state" in America and not pay taxes. They tried to live the capitalist lifestyle in USSR, and got surprised when that's not going to be allowed to happen
>Then the commies killed them and took their land
After being told they will receive compensation. And these were no such plans for a violent destruction of their class, that only happened after they went full retard on themselves
> While they exported food. In the middle of a famine.
Actually they caused the famine onto themselves and yes there was a famine pior to the collectivization but the kulaks were charging high prices for the grain despite having large reserves and millions upon millions more would of died since those grain reserves feed the many men and women industrializing Russia

>this is what communists ACTUALLY believe

It all happened, but other things happened too.

What makes you think people are equal?

Why would we even have competitions like races, fights and other shit like that if we were? Everyone should theoretically come in first place. But that never happens. Because we aren't equal.

Great argument

The kulaks were literally going to be payed for their farms to be collectivized. Instead they became autistic began to burn their own farms down and kill millions of heads of cattle. And after that happened Stalin just took whatever grain and cattle they had left and told them to go fuck themselves and they can starve for all he cares.

>they did the equivalent of trying to form a ancap "state" in America and not pay taxes

When? I don't recall this at all. Lowering estate taxes on land workers dates to the pre-revolution Stolypin reform. I'm not aware the commies ever did anything like this. It sounds like something you just made up to argue with ancaps.

>After being told they will receive compensation

Source?

>Actually they caused the famine onto themselves
>but the kulaks were charging high prices for the grain
>having large reserves

This is a myth playing on a stereotype perpetuated by communists to imply their enemies are parsimonious monopoly men.

Communism is suck because competition is good.
Except for multiculturalism because that sort of competition is bad.
Also, people are naturally greedy, thus it follows that our society should enable the greediest people to gain the most power.
Also, Communism is not Democratic, and the best form of Democracy is when the Greediest rich people can buy all the votes and all the politicians.
Furthermore, Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff. So instead of a Communist society where all the people share ownership of everything, we must have a Capitalist society where a few dozen billionaires own over half of everything, and the other 400 million people split what's left, so each of them get to own a few thousand dollars worth of stuff (if they're lucky and work really hard their entire lives).
Finally, Communism doesn't organize society based on how much money you have, and my money is my money, so a society that doesn't use money literally stole all my money, even though I live paycheck to paycheck in Capitalist society and I'm $40,000 in debt to banks and billionaires who own everything.
Ultimately it comes down to freedom because freedom means me doing whatever I want to do whenever I want to do it, except when I'm at work, which is most of my life, and except when I'm in any sort of school or public setting, but when I'm at home shitposting on the internet while jerking off to porn, then I'm definitely free, and that's the American dream, baby.

history.hanover.edu/courses/excerpts/111stalin.html

>However the kulaks (prosperous farmers) were dissatisfied, in part because there were no manufactured goods available for them to buy with the profits of their farms

Can't let them have the means of production. They might actually improve themselves- and the economy while they're at it!

>Stalin blamed them for food shortages and ordered the collectivization of their farms

Blame the victim.

>Sometimes they refused to sell their crops as a form of political protest

This is what you meant. People trying to own the tools they labor with so they can improve themselves and their country. FFS, commies literally killed children and women, sent millions to gulags in horrid conditions, and killed their neighbors for it- but fuck kulaks for protesting the government that bans religion, free speech, and private property.

>...have developed an offensive along the whole front against the capitalist elements in the countryside - Stalin, targeting his own people for extermination in what he defines as an "offensive"

>Now, as you see, we have the material base which enables us to replace the kulak output by the output of the collective farms and state farms. It is for this very reason that our determined offensive against the kulaks is now meeting with undeniable success. -Stalin, lying through his teeth about how well this was going to go(protip:not well)

Just admit communism is a religion

>Communism is so weak economically that a few peasants selling grain will cause millions to starve.

The more you know!

Starvation is awesome compared to the mass graves. Besides 100 million dead people its amazing. But only for the ruling class.

Here's a quote from Soviet Russia: "He who does not work shall not eat"
>Lenin explains that in socialist states only productive individuals could be allowed access to the articles of consumption.

Imagine if Bernie said that.

>I will take your land and livelihood and force you to work for me, and if you don't like this we will send in the military and kill you
>but maybe I'll pay you back later lol
communists deserve to be shot

Yes, maxist Leninism produced more wealth and prosperity than free markets did.

That quote is from John Smith, the man who led Jamestown, the first British AMERICAN settlement, you autistic fuck. Jesus Christ how bad are American school systems if they don't even teach you your own fucking history?
historicjamestowne.org/history/pocahontas/john-smith/
Go suck-start a shotgun with your mouth disgusting amerimutt

I was using a bad analogy. The Kulaks were running as business usual and when the Communists came to take the farm while giving them compensation ( they were lucky to even get that since most of the poor Russians hated the Kulaks) the kulaks didn't like giving up their wealth so they burnt tons and tons of grains and killed tens of millions of cattle.
>Source?
During the period of war communism, however, the policy of Prodrazvyorstka meant that the peasantry was obligated to surrender the surpluses of almost any kind of agricultural produce for a fixed price
They were autistic because they wern't getting a better fixed price for extra produce
>This is a myth playing on a stereotype perpetuated by communists to imply their enemies are parsimonious monopoly men.

>As part of being forced onto collective farms, the peasantry were required to relinquish their farm animals to government authorities. Many peasants chose to slaughter their livestock rather than give them to collective farms. In the first two months of 1930, peasants killed millions of cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, and goats, with the meat and hides being consumed and bartered. For instance, the Soviet Party Congress reported in 1934 that 26.6 million head of cattle had been lost, and 63.4 million sheep. In response to the widespread slaughter, the Sovnarkom issued decrees to prosecute "the malicious slaughtering of livestock"

If only the kulaks had killed another 63.4 million more sheep perhaps then they wouldn't of starved themselves

user, I...
>Virginians know that Captain John Smith was vital to the survival of Jamestown in its early years. They can quote his order: “He that will not work shall not eat.” But few know that Smith’s adventures started years before Jamestown.

kill tens of millions of cattle and burn hundreds of tons of grain

lol why does this cause a food shortage???

EU flag, you're a fucking retard. It a Bible verse that was enshrined into the 1936 Soviet constitution. Holy shit how hard that would have been for you to spend 30 seconds googling before you sperged like an atheist high schooler fedora. Here, for your convenience and so the whole class can mock you:
biblegateway.com/verse/en/2 Thessalonians 3:10
>2 Thessalonians 3:10
>For even when we were with you, this we commanded you: that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

The original source.^ Now the commie constitution:

constitutii.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/1936-en.pdf

>ARTICLE 12: In the U.S.S.R. work is the obligation and a matter of
honor of every able-bodied citizen, in accordance with the principle: "He
who does not work, neither shall he eat."

Just keep this all in mind next time you mock someone else's school systems.

Fuckin' retard...

You're being pedantic. The also shows up, in different form, the New Testament. Why don't you actually address the quote as Lenin said it instead of arguing about fucking Pocahontas?

>goalpost shifting
never change burgers

anti-art, anti incentives, anti-freedom, anti-personal property, places all power in the government, the government is put in the seat of God as all powerful over the people yet the government is comprised of people who are flawed and their corruption becomes absolute. it's also anti-religion, which is anti-christ.

What goalpost shifted? You said it was John Smith who invented it like the commies didn't say it, and you were shown up. Now you're mumbling something about goalposts because it's obvious you have no idea what the fuck you were talking about to begin with.

We might be dealing with an actual retard.

Jesus Christ. I am not interested in "winning" this argument. I don't care who said it, whether it was the Bible, John Smith, or Lenin.

I just put forth the quote as spoken by Lenin in response to your query about why Sup Forums might be more leftist than they know and why the current brand of "socialism" is different than the socialism in the 70s.

we really missed out with stalin. trotsky's russia would have been absolutely brutual and his ideals of spreading his version of communism would have certainly led to a different 20th century.

>5% of the capitalist population is drastically outproducing 95% of peasant communists
>take their advice and give them the means of production to increase efficiency?
>NO! KILL THEM ALL AND TAKE THEIR LAND!

the total loss personal sovereignty.

Can someone show me the source for this? Cause right now it's just a some words and a picture which could easily just change the words Russia to America and put a picture of Trump there

the problem with communism is that
peak communism in computer terms is
>0 seeders
>everyone else leechers

only possible in post-scarcity society.
communism does a good job of slowing the progress towards that.
capitalism (state cap too) is stupid in the sense that its the fastest way to post-scarcity

a form of post-scarcity capitalism is needed for capitalism to survive past a certain point

Obviously, the quote itself is not inherently left-wing, as it was used by both the Bible and John Smith. It's obvious that you've already lost, so why don't you just give up and go back to crying that your waifu will never fuck you, you pathetic virgin?
>Jesus Christ. I am not interested in "winning" this argument.
Obviously not.

thats only because capitalist counties allow them to starve

Your idiotic rambling has no internal logic and flip-flops all over the place like a dying fish. Try again when you turn 18, sweetie.

wrong. americas first colony attempt was SOCIALIST but it completely failed cause everyone stole and did no work. im talking about like way back

Well, you asked why Sup Forums might be leftist. You just proved it yourself by stating that the quote is not leftist, even though it came out of the mouth of Lenin and is enshrined in the Soviet Constitution. If that quote is not leftist, than what's it doing in the Soviet Constitution? What was socialism supposed to be about?

It's certainly nothing that Bernie Sanders espouses, which is essentially give your money to parasitical losers.

lmao bro if you won, you shouldn't have to insist you won. You know you were talking shit because you thought you knew where that quote came from, and thought you'd poke fun at Americans for not knowing what Americans say. Lo and behold, it's Biblical and a fedora cuck like you wouldn't have known that, because you know, education isn't all that well rounded from a state standard "curriculum". I never argued it was left wing. That's you changing arguments.

It's pointless to argue since we're both anonymous, but I lost my virginity in a way I regret. If I could go back and be a virgin and do it with someone better, I'd do it. For the record, you've got no perspective on sex.

hmm, maybe I resent being controlled by jews

Marxism-Leninism is the Ultimate Redpill

One of the personal issues I take with communism is how it will utterly cripple niche markets.

In our current society, if I wanted a firearm or a sports-bicycle or a tabletop game, there are multiple companies offering me a large variety of products, all either competing with eachother or further delving into specific niches (for example, roleplaying games or wargames for tabletop-gaming). Part of why this is possible is that private businesses can specialise and devote all its time and resources into these specific niches, while being incentivised to explore newer markets by the demand from demographics whose niche interests aren't fully being met.

The communist idea of a planned/centralised economy equally meeting the needs of seven billion people without private enterprise is utterly antithetical to the concept of niche-interests. Sure there might be devoted craftsmen or groups of people interested in said interests that they could craft and distribute items for their demographic on a small-scale, but when simply distributing a basic variety of essential goods (cooking ingredients, clothing, confection, etc) to everyone equally is a mad nightmare of bureaucratic/logistic clusterfucking, the chances of niche interests getting a share of the resources, tools and manpower needed to produce their desired products on any significant scale is laughably remote.

A communist world is basically one where you get store-brand goods and nothing else.

you're... you're fucking retarded

>It's pointless to argue since we're both anonymous, but I lost my virginity in a way I regret. If I could go back and be a virgin and do it with someone better, I'd do it. For the record, you've got no perspective on sex.
lmao you're so insecure I almost feel bad for you
Try reading it again S L O W L Y user. It's not INHERENTLY leftist, but it CAN be leftist. Remember, you have to be 18 years old to use this site.

>but it CAN be leftist
How? Seriously.

whataboutism is a logical fallacy.

The quote itself is not inherently left or right, yet it can be used to support either side. Political spectrums are not monolithic blocs.

>an unlabelled, home-sourced meaningless graph

>wrong. americas first colony attempt was SOCIALIST but it completely failed cause everyone stole and did no work. im talking about like way back

Yeah ^ this guy is right and I completely forgot. It was John Smiths colony before he got there. That quote was inspired by him cracking down on it though. Proof that decentralized communal living will always lose out to authoritative management.

i completely agree with this even though im a total capitalist sympathiser. the way communism is structured is genius in the sense that it makes the population extremely loyal, its not economically sound though

>lmao you're so insecure I almost feel bad for you
You brought it up. It's not the last time I've even had sex either. It was fun don't get me wrong, but accusing someone of being a virgin is something a virgin would say. I'm guessing you're no older than 20. Probably 18 or so at most. Grown ups don't talk like that out of no where. This all feels like projection and insecurities on your end t b h boyo.

This. Until you've read Foundations of Leninism by J.V. Stalin, your opinion is literally irrelevant.

He was a hypocritical prick who rallied millions of disenfranchised and starving serfs under the banner of a classless society where everyone is equal whilst driving around in a million pound Rolls Royce given to him by the British.

>Besides, why would you need command economy in USA? USA was already an industrialized country.
USA is a de-industrialized country. Literally the only way to re-industrialize the nation is to abolish capitalism and adopt a planned economy. You will never convince capitalists to "bring back the jobs" from exploited nations.

That book was literal shit. I couldn't make it past the first half, so maybe there's some enlightening bits at the end, but it seems like one of those books people just name drop because it's obvious but obscure at the same time. It's way too aimed at an audience that grew up specifically in the Russian Empire, and not true for all of them but a good reinforcer for his own side/audience.

>unlabelled

It shows that Russian train lines, very difficult to build without industrialization, were already being built at a large rate.

>only possible in post-scarcity society.

What does a libertarian like you think of Dengism - which is literally your argument taken to its logical conclusion (increase capitalism to maximize innovation to move towards a post-scarcity economy, i.e. what Marx described as communism)?

> accusing someone of being a virgin is something a virgin would say
> I'm guessing you're no older than 20. Probably 18 or so at most.
user...

If capitalist countries are so strong that they can make other non-capitalist countries starve, why isn't capitalism the stronger economic model?

lol, yeah. Communist countries can't even stop black markets from forming!

There's no contradiction there. You're a kid, and the only reason you brought up sexual repression in a thread about communism is because you need an outlet and the shame projects itself. I didn't bring it up mate, I'm just talking about it. You've got issues. Sort yourself out.

Okay buddy boy, whatever you have to tell yourself.
Just know that help is always available for you, and that it's okay to accept yourself for who you are.

>Just know that help is always available for you, and that it's okay to accept yourself for who you are.

What? How long has it been since you've spoken to a real person?

maybe if they thought they wouldnt have been killed regardless they wouldnt have done it
