As power consolidates around a few human beings in the form of ultra wealth the average person sees fewer and fewer opportunities for advancement in class and status. Working an unfulfilling job to keep your head above water while paying out 50% of your income in the form of rent has become the norm.
What are some solutions for income inequality, and how can the average person compete against those who are born into positions of family wealth?

The abolition of private property is the only way to completely eliminate it, but that comes with drawbacks such as poverty, famine, state oppression, and no opportunity for personal advancement.
Most efforts made to alleviate income inequality have the side effect of increasing the cost of living, making the poor worse off on net. For that reason, it's not the moral high ground position.

If wealth is zero sum how do you explain the difference in the amount of wealth between the world 300 years ago and the world now? how do you explain the difference between the value of a blank canvas and some paint as opposed to the value of a painting that sells for millions of dollars? wealth is created and transactions are beneficial to both parties... otherwise you wouldnt buy the product/service. this of course all goes out the window when the government is pointing a gun at you to force you into using their services... but that's another discussion.
