Painter thread

Computers can now paint lineart pictures, come check it out

paintschainer.preferred.tech/

...

Is there a way to remove the noise in the background?

Use white

Shit is persistent.

>neural network can give a half decent, lazy pastel coloring job to line-art after a human hand gives it assistance through trial and error
>COMPUTERS ARE GOING TO DRAW ALL ANIMUS IN TWO YEARS FROM NOW
What did Sup Forums mean by this?

...

Use mspaint.

IT'S ALL ABOUT PRINCIPLE THOUGH.

...

who are you quoting?

I don't really understand people's need to shit on artists.

Technology is cool, but an actual human being being able to create art is an amazing talent IMO and not something that can just be replaced by computers completely.

Previous thread.

cool little thing

There's a lot of desire to take people down a notch in general. The most common example is re: stuff like Pollock paintings, but people will go on and apply it to all artists as though they're hacks when it takes many years of study and practice to get even reasonably good.

...

Reposting my best

Why do I keep getting broken images

there is nothing wrong with technology replacing humans, and in time computers will be able to do everything a human can do and better(unless we're talking about abstract art, which is just bullshitting dumb people)

just look at cgi movies, try to draw that shit, it's literally impossible, and it won't take long to imitate 2d drawings perfectly as well(most developers just fail to realize 2d art has limits which people have gotten used to)

Because you are a broken person.

You're not trying hard enough.

This thing is stubborn at times.

Read. No PNGs or Gif

...

...

This thing works better on stuff with less ink.

I'll post the original on it's own. Maybe some user can show me how to make it work good.

I wasn't using those but it ended up working after a couple different images

...

Is there something I'm missing? Only have access to limited colors.

You need a Sup Forums goldpass.

Funnily enough, when i just had two strokes and it colorized it automatically it looked fine aside for one or two mistakes, but when i added more color it become worse more and more

it didn't work ;_;

Not even with this program...

Amazing, i hope the dev improves his script.

...

...

An attempt was made.

Add white and black dot

holy shit thats good

Worked pretty good

Holy shit dude

Not quite

Note to those attempting: This program doesn't like images with a lot of black and grey.

...

The future is upon us.

>blue zombiedick
No.

from my experience, it likes a lot of gray better than just lineart with white.

I've been asking in draw threads for years for a coloring of this one & it turned out fine

amazing...

Where is that black stuff even coming from?

This isn't art, it's bastardization of it.

IT BEGINS

>waaaa waaaa I went to school for 10 years to learn how to color and now computers can do it in 20 seconds!

...

BUT LOOK AT THE CRAFTSMAN SHIP IT TOOK FROM A SIMPLE SKETCH

LOOK AT THIS IS AMAZING!!!

Fucking. Perfect.

...

Took a lot of adjustments, but it looks pretty nice I guess.

I doubt this.

I hate to break this to you but decent CGI requires a lot of skilled artist/animators. Computers can't do it without humans. They are just a drawing tool.

Miyazaki plz

>this post is art.jpg

Moderation seems to be the key here.

Don't know why the fuck it changed the proportions of my image though.

True art is saved as gif. jpg need not apply.

Just resize it in paint, it did the same for me.

Pretty much this. This tool won't replace artists, it'll be used by artists. And even then, probably just in some specific situations.

But it'll hail in a new age of porn colored by autists with nothing better to spend their time on!

...

What happened?

Why are her boobs white though?

...

I there any way to make it save the drawing at the original size?

i didn't say computers can do everthing on their own(right now)
yes cgi still needs humans to create the model and tell them how to move it, but the movement itself is done by the computer. It knows the perfect proportions, perspective, colors etc., something a human could never do

>Just resize it in paint
>bilinear upscaling of lossy compression
Enjoy your artifacts.

Goddamn, that loo—

FUCK YOU!!

I like to let it figure out the colours on it's own.

I politely decline.

It's ok user we'll just upscale it with waifu2x

There's a hex color picker on google you know

Please stop, this is embarrassing.

HNNNNG

They ran out of air.

...

? Yes, retard kun
But what happened?

...

I wonder what I'm doing wrong with the eyes

I've tried that, there is an overall loss though. I'm thinking of changing one of my upscaling servers into a colouring server and trying to mess with it to keep it from shrinking the image.

I am entertained.

what the fuck

t. Hayao "an insult to life itself" Miyazaki

What am I doing wrong senpai?

I get bored but you need to put shadows with black and white

this is fun

>It knows the perfect proportions
Because people wrote a physics engine for it. People write code, people develop hardware, people maintain computers. You're speaking in ignorant layman terms. Take this: current technology still can't simulate protein folding in resource-limited applications; we don't even know what consciousness is. Hardware and code won't magically develop itself and solve the very essence of the physical universe - it's all on humans to do that.

>resize it in paint
Are you retarded?

Try fewer dots?

Ctrl+w works surprisingly well in newer editions of paint. Don't click and drag obviously.

What's wrong with that?
Just click resize and put the original image's resolution.
There, aspect ratio fixed.

My biggest pet peeve is when people who regularly consume art act like described. Without artists the things Sup Forums loves would not exist.

Nice this teaches me stuff.

Do you just add gray lines for shadows or is there some black in there that I can't see?
