Pic related was mine, and I cried like a bitch at the end because i was like 14 when i first read it

My first manga was Dragonball when I was 11. I liked it a lot but in retrospect my life would've probably have turned out better without it.

a classic

I bought a floppy issue of Fist of the North Star from a card, coin, and comic show at the local civic center. I had just seen the movie and I was obsessed. I eventually managed to complete the whole run.

Can't really recall my first one, but Katin and Roaario Vampire sure stuck with me for a long time.

*Karin

This will always be my favorite manga

I read this in high school. It's really enjoyable, but the ending really pissed me off.

...

I think it was Evangelion. Can't remember now.

I never finished it.

Was it that bad?

Everything was all set up for a happy ending, but in the last few chapters there's this deus ex machina bullshit that really makes the whole thing needlessly bittersweet. I always felt that it completely clashed with the tone of the rest of the manga and that they tainted a happy ending for the sake of pointless drama.

I certainly don't hate it, and I'm not sure I would necessarily call it 'bad', but I feel it should've ended differently. Ending aside though, the manga as a whole is an excellent read.

What the fuck was with that ending? It honestly may have been a perfect little manga without it.

>bittersweet
>bitter
Did we read the same finale?

Ah. It's always one of them unnecessary loopholes that ruin a plot.
I only read the first 3 volumes before my cousin took them from me
I forgot about the series until this thread. Maybe I'll finally finish it to see the ending for myself

I remember reading this manga in the Boarder's at my mall. I would just read the entire volume sitting on the floor near the shelf and then not buy it

First manga for me was the Pokémon: electric tale of Pikachu

Years later i discovered it was drawn by an eromangaka and suddenly everything clicked

Well, how else would you describe having all of her memories of her family forcibly erased and instead believing she'd been completely alone all her life until she met Usui?

So you weren't talking about Ranma.
Well, that explains things.

Ah, yeah, I was talking about the ending to Karin.

Dark Metro because it was one of first manga that got an official translation in my country. It was pretty lackluster and I didn't like it even when I was a teenager at that time.

The first manga I read was DN Angel in the 4th grade. Ironically enough, it was at a catholic school, and it was on one of the class book shelves.

I didn't know that, but it makes sense now.

Guyver. Fucking loved it
