How do we fix the American Eduction System?

Why has the United States done a terrible job with it's education? Whenever I come on here, at least 3/4ths of retarded replies are mostly made by Americans. How do we fix this?

Pay teachers more

Send kids to trade schools where they can learn skills such as farming or welding if their test scores aren't sufficient.

1. Remove the Department of Education
2. Abolish all Federal Loans, Grants and Free gibs.
3. Remove Affirmative action.
4. Privatize all Unis, colleges, schools etc.

It should take care of itself by then, the idea is to remove any sort of government regulation, government gibs and failed Keynesian Economic practices made by years of retarded legislation. God speed.

blow it up

Public education is socialism get the government out of our fuckign schools and maybe we will be more smarter

>tuition goes up
>education becomes a bigger meme.
>but hey that teacher shaniqua has got a Lamborghini.

Kick out liberals, stop giving out participation trophies, give more reasoned ideas presenting both sides, stop promoting """"""activism"""""" of either side for extracurricular activities, and get rid of no child left behind.

Easy. Ship all blacks and illegals back tomorrow.
Watch all scores sky rocket back to pre 1960s levels. Also, make college more difficult to get into. Erase all racial quotas. And reduce athletic scholarships.

>tuition

I was talking about elementary school teachers

You are aware that paying them more doesnt necessarily make them better teachers dont you?

>underpaid teachers
>undisciplined students
>shitty parents
>unqualified teachers
pick 3 and that is basically any public school in america

Increase teacher pay AND routinely test the teachers ton make sure they know what they're teaching, well.

That’s true that most retarded posters on Sup Forums are American but keep in mind burgers are the plurality as well.

Education has to dumb itself down to appeal to all the non whites and non asians

We need to increase teacher pay, and bill the parents directly for the costs of schooling. Teacher pay should be determined by how much the parents of the students are willing to pay them.

Bring back homeschooling, I see nothing wrong with it. If you're worried about the child not interacting with other kids, then have more kids or put them in some extracurricular activity that isnt pozzed. Like martial arts, space camp etc... Proven statistics that these kids outperform on average than kids in public school.

Already balanced by school districts scaled with property taxes and values?

Take an interest in your child's education. That's literally all it takes. Give them books to read, instill a love of learning in them, challenge them. They can go to the dumbest dumbshit school for dumbshits in america but the only limit is your enthusiasm for their success.

They are underpaid from a perspective of the average masters degree perspective. You add in the benefits and the summer vacation and its on the mark. What we really need to do is take away their unions and job security. More getting hired or fired in a more fluid labor market will increase their desire to be effective teachers.

Ok I've been a student in the US in many different schools. Private, public, etc. Here's stuff that needs to be implemented, mainly for highscool.
>No bulky text books required anymore, due to internet.
(Saves a lot of money, textbooks are retardedly expensive)
>Online hub like Blackboard for posting of assignments and grades.

>Cheating on homework is the biggest problem, it makes it seem as if students who don't grasp the concept are doing well, and they escape having to learn the material.
>The homework should be automatically generated with random numbers so that students cant copy from each other. (I know many including myself who have avoided learning material by copying someone else's work)
>The homework should also be minimal like 1-10 problems that take no longer than an hour to complete the assignment, each problem should cover the core concepts of the material recently discussed.
>Testing material should accurately cover the material taught. (no curve balls)
>Additional hour of time at end of day to do homework at school, or attend club meetings my highschool called it "enrichment hour".

>Students caught misbehaving in class multiple times are sent to head office during rest of class. They will be required to attend a one on one lecture to learn the subject they missed during their "enrichment hour"
>Classes 90 minutes long
>Teacher Reviews from students with GPA's above 3.5 get taken seriously. Multiple negative reviews can lead to a firing.
>Higher teacher pay for teachers whose students do better on exams. (These exams are written by the school district, not the teacher. Teachers are provided with similar practice tests before the exam so they can adequately prepare their students.)

I'd say the biggest problem with the school system right now, is that your grade depends on how good a teacher you have, and how industrious your classmates are.

IVe been in classes where the teacher has made things arbitrarily difficult by not providing the needed resources, and Ive been in classes where people are annoying the teacher until they can focus.

The school system needs to be more standardized, everyone in the country needs to be taking the same tests(conceptually) and doing the same homework(conceptually).

I went to a highschool that if you were getting a 3.5 gpa you were honor roll at the other local schools.

Stop putting so many fags, niggers and women in charge of the show

> Get rid of liberal administration

Homeschool your kids.

This. Let's be honest, the American education system was set up to give the kids of factory workers a basic enough education to become factory workers themselves. That was fine then when there were tons of manufacturing and mining and construction jobs across the country, but that structure has not really progressed with the economics of the us job market where the manufacturing jobs have gone overseas, replaced with highly specific and often technical jobs.

I tend to think you can throw as much money at the problem, hire the objectively best teachers in the world, etc., but if it's all in furtherance of the status quo STRUCTURE, none of that will matter as it's still doomed to fail. The system needs to be gutted and reimagined for our current situation.

This would solve 88% of the problem.

I agree, but they need an incentive to be paid more otherwise teachers will just continue being shitty.

Well, we get rid of the welfare system and let the problem solve itself.

what's wrong with being retarded?

No, it just needs to be rid of shitskins and niggers

Remove the union in pre-college level schools
Make it so Tenure isnt a get out of jail free card. Instead set it on a project the professor is doing and always leave an out to remove idiots.
Tell people that college isnt for everyone.
Even if they still want to go it would be better to not have 18 year olds who for the most part have no idea what to do for the most part.

Get rid of it

>Higher teacher pay for teachers whose students do better on exams
This is good. I'd add that the teachers should have to take these exams too and get something like an 80% consistently to keep their job.

This. Close down all schools. Problem solved. We do not need schools anymore.
