Is there really (or was there ever) a war on X-Mas?

Yes, but it ended around year 1100 when it became a Christian holiday.
Not on any large or organized scale. A few libtard elites and some edgy losers kinda fought some skirmishes, but didn't win anything except in very liberal circles.
Merry Christmas user.
Saying "Happy Holidays" is considered a hostile act.
I remember growing up thinking it was weird that all the childrens' shows had special episodes honoring Jewish and black holidays, but Christmas was either 100% Santa or nothing. Who the fuck cares aobut Kwanzaa? even BLACKS don't give a shit, yet it was shoved down our throats every year.
I would describe it more as microagressions for the most part.
It ended when the leading edge of retards were unable to convince the people who REALLY matter. Giant consumer megacorporations.
In addition, the leading edge of soy tards started attacking Happy Holidays too early.
> Fortunately Mark Kessler, a professor of multicultural women's and gender studies at Texas Women's University, has a solution for how to be more all-inclusive:
>When planning December office parties that coincide with the Christmas season, it is a challenge for event organizers to make celebrations "all-inclusive." Not all faith traditions have holidays in December, and not everyone identifies with a particular faith tradition. ... Consider naming the party, if it is scheduled for December, without using the word "holiday." "Holiday" connotes religious tradition and may not apply to all employees. For educational institutions, a December gathering may instead be called an "end of semester" party. For a business office, an “end of (fiscal) year” party may be more appropriate.
>Plan a menu that does not symbolize a particular religious holiday (for example, red and green sugar cookies shaped like Christmas trees).
Avoid religious symbolism, such as Santa Claus, evergreen trees or a red nosed reindeer, which are associated with Christmas traditions, when sending out announcements or decorating for the party. Excellent alternatives are snowflakes, snowmen or winter themes not directly associated with a particular holiday or religion.
> "Experience whatever emotion is appropriate for you during the end of (fiscal) year."
Slightly losing your shit about microagressions I think should reasonably be called a microwar.
the fact that happy holidays is said instead of merry christmas
No. There were two sets of retards here. The hard left who are anti christian, and would lose their shit if you wished someone a
>Merry christmas and happy holidays.
Those fuckers had the objective of removing christmas from the public sphere entirely.
Also, there were the ultrachristfags reactionaries, who would lose their shit if christmas was not included. Even by people who aren't actually christians.
LIke one news story about some lady that didn’t like her neighbor and somehow this meant the US is at war with political correctness fuck holy days it’s xmass muh christinanityyy fuckkk being nice hahaha THE YRUTH DUSNT CURR BOUT YURR FEELINGSSS XDDZD
Yes, but it isn't publicly admitted. The way the war is done is via corporations and media. Commercials don't say Merry christmas, you're not allowed to say it at your day job, they don't put up christmas decorations, etc. It's not like it's a law or anything, but it's being done subversively.
>X-Mas
>Avoiding to say "Christ" on "Christmas" and change it to the unknown X symbol
YOU ARE THAT MUCH cucked AMERICUNTS, SHAME ON YOU FOR FALLING TO JEWISH TRICKS
>Mfw my country has never questioned christmas because there's no point to it.
> The Trump family’s official Christmas card reads: “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.” The dominant color scheme is an old-school red, green and gold. And the official hashtag? #WHChristmas
Considering we're forced to say happy holidays so we don't hurt people's feelings instead of saying Merry Christmas over here in the United States, yes. I didn't believe it at first but the absolute hate people have for Christianity can be seen and heard day in and day out
cringe
this
Yes. I have worked jobs in the service industry where I was forbade to say "Merry Christmas" because it could offend jews.
Pic related was New York in the 50s during Easter. Sad how far we've fallen
No. It was just a few fedora fags trying to push their narrative about muh holiday tree and muh Christmas greetings. Some tried to sue business over it but most failed. Most people ignored them. Bill did not.
A Christian's need to celebrate Christmas, which is just Saturnalia with a new name and has nothing to do with Jesus, only exposes their materialism and needless sentimentality.
...
I went to the grocery store 2 days ago and saw happy holidays, happy channauka and even happy quanza but not a single merry christmas.
unironically one of the most prosperous times in our nation's history.
>There's no war on Christmas haha stop being so hysterical lad...
This. Rugrats actuaily dug into the bible story yet no cartoon even touched the nativity of our lord.
This was a thing in the 90s when I was a kid.
Basically it came from liberals making a huge push to ban "Christmas" from public schools, like trees, plays about Jesus, having Merry Christmas in halls or classrooms.
Sadly, they succeeded but that's where the whole meme came from.
This is why Charlie Brown Christmas >>>>> all the fucking rest
Well maybe except that really old school Scrooge McDuck The Night Before Christmas special from decades ago.
It's not kikemas you fucktards. It's like everything else with the joos, IT IS STOLEN. YOU HAVE NO TRADITIONS ya fucks.
I just want to feel included in hannukah and ramadan user
Kind of, it's more of a capitalistic sanitization of Christmas, removing a christian imagery to make christmas shopping more appealing to the non-believers.
Not really anymore. About 10-12 years ago there was but it was mostly the result of corporations jumping on the sjw diversity train to appeal to a larger market. As is typical with such business practices it just ended up pissing everyone off.
x is actually an abbreviation for an old greek word for christ and was picked up by anglo saxons.
...
>a war on X-Mas
>X-Mas
Yes. Just the fact you wrote "X-Mas" rather than "Christmas" is insulting. Do you have slang for Hanukkah?
Hollywood makes trashy, vulgar movies and TV shows making fun of Christmas and all its traditions. Comedians mock and make fun of Christmas. Most Christmas commercials do not even mention Christmas and are focused on materialism rather than the beauty and meaning of the season. You can rarely hear traditional, beautiful Christmas songs, instead you get the rock Christmas songs.
We are not allowed to have Nativity scenes on display anymore without the ACLU and other Christian haters suing. Most Christmas cards are goofy and don't even say "Christmas."
Oh, and lets not forget the annual "Drunkin Santas" of NYC. Make sure kids see drunk and disgusting santas running around right before Christmas to destroy his image of a loving, jolly old soul.
So, yeah, I would say there is a war on Christmas. So me a Jewish, Muslim, HIndu, or Buddhist holiday that is mocked, derided, and trashed like Christian holidays.
Not in any of our lifetimes. "The War in Christmas" is a retarded cultural concoction of the neocons cause places like Starbucks don't explicitly say Merry Christmas.
>You can rarely hear traditional, beautiful Christmas songs, instead you get the rock Christmas songs.
This is a good thing though. Christmas songs are hopelessly gay, and the rock versions make them slightly less so.
no but there is a war on Yuletide for some reason
people are afraid to wish each other Happy Yule it seems
Earlier this month Jimmy John's sandwiches had red and green wrappers and the sticker used to keep it closed said "Merry Christmas"
Last week they didn't have it
I was bummed out a bit
try living in commiefornia.
Christmas has been secularized to hell and back but some people still don't the religious parts in public places. Because if you allow a Nativity in a public area you need to allow whatever Hanukkah stuff the Jews want, whatever the Muslims want, and the Satanists will get cheeky and want some demon goat statue just to troll everyone.
>Christmas songs are hopelessly gay,
No, they are not. They are beautiful and meaningful. Little Drummer Boy; Silent, Holy Nigh; Hark! The Harald Angels Sing; O Little Town of Bethlehem; Joy to the World; O Holy Nigh; O Come All Ye Faithful; We Three Kings Of Orient Are; The First Noel; God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen; Deck The Halls, O Tannenbaum, and Do You Hear What I Hear. Of, of course, the magnificent Handel's Messiah.
Of course, schools today are not allowed to have Christmas pageants or Christmas concerts anymore, so these wonderful songs of Christmas are rarely heard anymore.
...
how is this a war on christmas? you conservishits are always talking about how companies should have the right to do anything they want.
