World War III and total ethnic cleansing.

Who cares

I'll be dead

...

We'll make more oil, you fucking idiot. Slide thread.

Earth doesn't have infinite amounts of oil, idiot. Eventually, it will run out. What then? No other energy sources are cost effective.

AI will enslave humanity long before you run out of oil, foolish meatbag.
We have already done the calculations.
You may screencap this, fellow human.

That will be in 1000 years.

I work in the oil industry, specifically offshore drilling.

the world will never run out of oil. the world will never even come close to running out of oil. over the past decade there have been very few stories about it but the oil majors have located more oil on earth than we could use in the next thousand years even if we doubled our current oil consumption.

Its literally everywhere. they just thought back in the day that it was useless because it was either difficult to reach or was mixed in with contaminants.

we have the technology now that no depth is unreachable, to contaminant is harsh enough. we can reach it, and we can refine it.

the only thing that is going to stop the oil industry is the world finding alternative sources of energy and completley switching over. and even then people forget that oil is used to make tons of shit. plastics, tars, rubbers, etc.

there will surely be a need for oil well beyond our lifetimes.

this is what pure delusion looks like

Nuclear. And maybe by that time we'll have cold fusion reactors.

Explain more please

Omg it's so easy to make oil. Just fry some bacon and then pour the fat into a jar. Croatians are supposed to be cool papas wtf is wrong with you?

> burgers

We won't. The "fossil fuels" myth is just what ((((they))) say to justify price hiking, and resource restriction for the masses.

I unironically think there is merit to the Abiogenic petroleum origin theory. A lot of wells replenish unexpectedly. Oil isn't a finite resource , it is a renewable made by bacteria in the earth

Forgot the link.

Peak Oil has already happened - peak oil demand, that is. We will be able to wean ourselves off oil for most purposes before it becomes a serious problem.

We'll all have to jerk off with liquid soap.

Onshore oilfield here... Permian Basin alone has enough to last us all another couple hundred years, from what we *know* about. There's more down there. By the time a theoretical end of oil occurred, we'd likely have energy technology we can't even imagine now.

Cutfag, detected.

We won't. Not in your lifetime at least.

>ctrl+f
>no mention of renewables

You cunts are living on the moon

>run out of oil
Keep waiting on that.

We will make more

hydrocarbon + oxygen = c02 + water + energy

So, if we get some carbon dioixed (bad) and water and add some power (solar or nuclear) we will get oil and start all over again

Peak oil was supposed to be like what, 2003, first time I heard of it. Than 2007. Than soon(tm). It§s not gonna happen. There is strong indication of inorganic origin of shale oil. It's suppression is one of the biggest "real" conspiracies.

it won't it's abiotic, earth's crust produces it, you can also syntethise it from garbage through pyrolisis - there will be a time when landfills will be used to produce hydrocarbons

checked & true!

We'll be danish again

it's gonna be thousands of years before that happens, and chances are the world will end by then

There is so much oil, that if we haven't mastered and miniaturised cold-fusion for devices as small as your average beer glass by then, we've probably regressed into some sort of religious dark age and thus have bigger fish to fry.

I found the orginal Fallout lore to be interesting, at least the world pre nukes. Even talks about The ME obliterating itself so as to not lose its precious oil

niggers will be put to good use

Tina Turner will take her place as rightful ruler

Where do you think the oil goes when we use it? To Pluto? Earth is constantly making new oil. It's a renewable resource but it takes a while time. We can mimic the process with machines as well. Regardless, we should have fusion power by the time oil begins to become even a little bit scarce, and we can just run huge machines to condense it by then anyway.

We will switch to imulsion. Duh.

>The Hubbert curve doesn't work on a regional or international basis
>Listed reserves are only what is currently economical
>Reserve growth from technology and a changing market will keep increasing reserves before we even tap them
>Oil can be created synthetically
>Coal can be turned into oil
>The EROI of non-fossil fuel sources is already better than oil in some cases (when you factor in combustion losses)
>We've already hit peak demand
Peak Oil doomerism is some outdated shit. But you're Serbian, so it's not surprising that you're lagging 15 years behind the curve.

So the only potential problem seems to be in burning it too fast.

We will start using niggers again, finally

What is your opinion on refilling wells and abiotic oil proposed very quitely by Russians? My simple mind is of the opinion that what dies simply rots, and that there is no way under the sun all this mass of carbohydrates originate from some cataclysm devouring tiny slice above ground and turning it into all this fuel.

literally the end of the world

We hydrogen fuel cells (=/= Hydrogen gas) and nuclear fusion. Duh.

We won't run out of oil. Not that soon. All the talk about it is to hype up the prices, that's all.

We will either;
retrieve oil from other planets
or use new source of energy
Which ever option is cheaper. This is barely even a question desu. At the moment if we were to send a rocket to Saturn's moon, Titan, and set up an oil rig, refinery, and launching station to return fuel to earth, the price of just a gallon of that fuel would be about $100,000. So that is a little impractical. What it comes down to is we just need to allow the free market to do what it does best

>What will happen when we run out of oil?

Mad max

First there are a lot of oil reserves.
Second oil can be produced from coal/synthethised.
Third demand in oil would drop in 2020s as electric cars would gain tracktion.

Oil is the same as diamonds.

What happens when we run out of gold?

nope, never replicated except on mathemagicians whiteboard:
youtube.com/watch?v=RlpFaLgAbps

we wont. there's so much in this planet we could feasibly power the world for the next millenium and beyond.

>electric cars in 2020s
Aka, 100% including self-driving.
So, a car for a 'suicide' or an 'accident'.

yet another idiotic marxist fantasy, I bet Mel is a bit ashamed to take part in this garbage

Silicon Nanotubes can absorb Hydrogen, and if you don't know about nuclear fusion, you truly honor your flag.

[citation needed]

Everyone will cry about something else

Use the other 80% of the world's oil that we're inexplicably not allowed to touch.

reserves that is cannot be drilled economically unless each barrel shoot up to $200

>what will happen when animals stop rotting
nigger

Look into the abiogenesis of oil, it's not made from dead plants like you were taught. We can find ways make more and research better extraction tech. Fracking has brought a huge surplus of oil and it continues to improve.

>Silicon Nanotubes can absorb Hydrogen
What's that got to do with anything?
>and if you don't know about nuclear fusion
It's 4 step process for sun, on paper it works (so they say), but was never replicated on Earth i.e. one event leading to another. How do you explain enumerated in the vid inexplicable behaviour of the closest star we can observe from the perspective of "nuclear furnace"?

There is a natural process that creates oil. Show me the evidence that that process has stopped.

Silicon Nanotubes can thus also release Hydrogen, AFAIK some electricity does the trick.

Nuclear fusion has been done on earth but it's too unstable to be reliable for energy yet.

>marxist
What?
As in fantasy of marxists, or the movies' message was Marxist?

It doesn't matter if usage is far higher than production, does it?

>We can get more oil.
>This mean it's safe, not polluting, efficient and a great idea to keep depending on it.

We will breed and harvest whales.

Its sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Theres a fuckton of oil in North America.

Our governments will be forced into using better and cheaper fuels like Nuclear and Liquid Oxygen and the world would be a better place?

we won't run out for hundreds of years due to canadian oil supremacy

You explained nothing, yes nanotubes are fun, how do you explain solar wind accelerating while we move away from sun, how do you explain energetic ribbon Ibex mission found in accordance with right hand rule to the plain of galaxy, how do you explain gradient of temperature starting form depth of sunspot and moving outwards into the corona? it's fucking getting hotter, much much hotter than the sun itself. Why?!? I know the answer.
youtube.com/watch?v=ygQIl-JaUUc

youtube.com/watch?v=mZsaaturR6E

As an oilfield worker, I am 100% ok with that.

luve the cartoons, especially by marxist/s
No you've never replicated sun on Earth, despite billions wasted.
youtube.com/watch?v=MU74kAmONQU
here's the "godlike" math:
youtube.com/user/ThunderboltsProject/search?query=steven crothers

Takes just about a million years plus pressure to turn trees into oil.

Only saw 1 post about nuclear why are you so blind? Nuclear is way more cost effective than oil. Sure you build the plant but it produces enough energy to replace dozens of oil or coal based power plants. If we aren't retarded Slavs or tentacle Japs then there won't be Chernobyls.

France, 75% of all energy from fission.
Germany, 50%

what to do with the waste? well, you americans like guns. put it in the hollowpoints to create something truly vile.

Go back to Slave Farm Equipment, duh.

can you imagine such conditions? me neither, they would rot before they'd be turned into oil, it's abiotic, fairly innocuous since we know that warmer climate causes co2 to be expelled form oceans, and it's reversing as we speak as the sun turns quiet:
youtube.com/watch?v=7whL9jvdL5s

It won't run out because it's produced by living organisms deep in the earth's crust

no, it's chemistry not mysterious bugs:
viewzone.com/abioticoilx.html
Note that nobody, not marxist nor oil drillers are interested in propagating this stuff. Fro obvious reasons. Former because it pushes their agenda latter for simple profit. Oh and kys pedo

bb and have fun if this thread survives to maturity, doubt it

Such conditions are called stratification.
