Akane is just an immature girl in the body of a 20-something whore. This last chapter and the new episode of the anime (not sure what chapter is that in the manga) basically spells why she's so immature and manipulative. Her accepting the marriage means she's either ready to make the full jump into adulthood but it will be a hard one considering sensei is not her type and boring as fuck. Sensei is okay with her cheating on him, so it should be fine.

It's not like the manga is realistic. A person being trash all of their lives won't just become upstanding lawful citizens one day to the next unless they're very smart, they encounter a life or death situation or go to therapy for years.

Not at all, I dunno where you get this. She's a tertiary character, not even relevant outside of her own self-contained arc. She doesn't need to get thoroughly dissected like the main characters.

She got rejected after a brief taste of her love, got over herself and decided to move on. End. Her little chat with Hanabi a couple of chapters ago is more than enough closure.

If next chapter is really the finale then it has to be 40 pages of 100% main couple, no other shit. It was the only thing that ever mattered.

Well actually episode 12 of the anime comes out on the 30th. I dunno when exactly this magazine comes out but they could release a chapter early to really end it "together", otherwise there's essentially a 1 month difference between the endings.

I never shipped Mugi and Akane and though all the "platonic love" and "soulmate" thing wasnt actually true, but it got basically confirmed this chapter. I am supposed to be happy with both maturing and growing up and all that shit, and it makes sense that Mugi fell in love with Hanabi.
My problem is Akane and Narumi. Compared with Mugi and Akane this episode they have 0 chemistry togheter, I didnt feel Akane and Narumi being an asspull, but after seeing this chapter and comparing how she and Mugi started to care for each other, it feels weak in comparaison.
Well I hope they stay friends and it isnt Ecchan/Hanabi all over again

i watched the anime and read few bit of the manga , i just spoiled myself though

They ended loving each other in a platonic way, both were the most broken characters of the story.
Thanks to that, Mugi realized his love for Hanabi and Akane fell in love with Oniichan.
This was basically the end of the journey and their goodbye/see you later and as akane said "thank you for everything".
Next chapter will be hanabi/moka/mugi closure and last episode epilogue, but the ride itself ended this chapter

I want to say they all will get a happy end, though I can see that happening since the problem with her part is her taking kiddy play too serious in her life.I'm for a milder end for the students, maybe where they all be friends again and tries to fuck each other again but in the usual school romance way, not the kuzu's way.This does seems inconclusive which some anons might rage. Wow, I didnt cry reading a manga since 4 years and mugi and akane, whose characters I hated, made me cry like a little bitch.
We knew they would reject each other, we know they will have a happy end with their respective loves, but seeing those two who began as a scummy whore and a obsesed manwhore tearing up and having to say goodbye after forming that bond was fucking sad.
