Well, as a simple consequence of being in competition with the USA and China, the EU will eventually reach that point. Whether it's in 15 or 65 years, who knows - but it's clearly headed this way, and there's no alternative, unless Europe wants to constantly be bitchslapped around.

Kaliningrad is underdeveloped compared to Germany and has over 1 million Russians currently living there. Not to mention no Germans have lived there since 1945, and Germany has already invested a great deal of money to reintegrate eastern Germany back in so why would they be interested in buying Kaliningrad back and giving money, the most needed commodity with the current sanctions, to their enemy?

The genetic diversity argument aside, being ''diverse'' would first of all, be a really unappealing sight to witness and secondly, it would lead to rootlessness and to culturally fractured society. There are obvious benefits for society to be homogeneous rather than heterogeneous. Being multicultural leads to tensions and ultimately to society's inner scuffles and - in the worst case scenario - to its implosion. No need to look further than Sweden and Britain and compare them with Asian countries such as Japan and China.
Ok so maybe there were some evolutionary differences to survive like different skin tones and more body hair in colder places but in the modern world they are totally irrelevant.
