I'm curious, how many enjoy the Gear 4 ? I really like the kabuki inspiration.

It's OK. Wouldn't have wow'd me as much as vulcanisation or turning into Mr Fantastic would have done though.

It's alright but it's drawbacks are heavy. Every since Doffy mentioned him being close to awakening I've been eager to see that. If it can manage to be a powerup without any serious drawbacks it'd be a nice way for him to step up in the new world.

Gear 4 is ugly and trash. It doesn't exploit the properties of rubber and as a generic powerup it isn't interesting or engaging.

It's rubbish when you consider what came before it.

>Luffy doesn't just inflate his whole body to 3x size and maximum denseness

It was barely sufficient to defeat the biscuit man, he'll need another gimmick to beat Big Mom.

Doflamingo is still the best character to appear in One Piece, friendly reminder.

Can Blackbeard suck in water? I mean Luffy was still stretchy underwater. What if Teach falls into some lake and before or when he reaches the water he just uses his powers to consume it.

JiNa literally confirmed.

Why are they so perfect, bros?

Baby 5, from just another crap character with a stupid gimmick to best character in the arc

> liking women

Gear 4 made me hate how CoA has to be colored more than anything Vergo did. I can see Oda trying to be clever with it but c'mon, it looks ridiculous.

He still has some attacks that he didn't use the g4 form of. Other than that would g4+g2 be possible? What about king kong gatling gun?

>Ruffy blasts the Kaido into space with some super rocketto shit
>Fujitora is in Wano for some reason and uses his godly CoO to confirm that he is still alive but wont be able to come back.

Kumadori was one of my favorite characters, his VA was so good too. There's been a lot of kabuki related content in one piece, inclusing those illustrations, seem like oda enjoys the art of it.

Sanji is a weak-willed beta cuck. He's considered allowing himself to die multiple times. He cried over based Pudding. Gets his ass beat by his Dad. Cooks because he's still thinking of Mommy.

He's a whiny eternal virgin faggot. Sanji is a clown, a fool and has on multiple occassions jepordized the crew.

With Jinbe around he's even more useless. He's shit.

Spineless cry-baby fuckboy chef needs to just die already.

>being THIS mad

He stopped thinking in space.

...

What if Roger was able to control his nose hair/moustache like this guy did with his hair.

I like that it resembles fujin alot.
Looks tough and doesn't take itself too seriously that's what I like about this series.

Or he will come back in Two Piece as a leader of some alien army.

Oda would never let such a powerful fruit in the hands of roger come on man.

>He still has some attacks that he didn't use the g4 form of
You're the same retard that has been posting this meme for weeks and you've been proven wrong every time. The big thing was King Kong Gun. Now go to bed and stop shitposting.

>or turning into Mr Fantastic
Isn't that kind of his snake shot technique? and also when he stretched his neck around nami

As a general rule of thumb I just don't like "transformations" in shounen. You stop being able to take fights seriously until the transformation is used, as you know the fight isn't going to end until the transformation comes out.

It also generally starts making the character's base form feel weak. Like Zoro and Luffy were pretty much equal, then Luffy shot ahead with Gear 2nd, and then Zoro seemed to close the gap and catch up to Luffy again pretty quickly. This suggests now that G2 Luffy = Zoro >>> Base Luffy, and I don't really like that base Luffy has felt so weak ever since. With gear 4 in the picture, this gap is going to get even worse and base Luffy is probably going to end up below Sanji.

You annoying little shit i dont know what are you talking about.

Speedreader

It's pretty awesome. Felt weird at first but grew to love it. It was good in Film Gold hearing Luffy yell "Gear Fourth" in a serious manner than compared to comedically saying "Gear Fouuuuusoo" to Doflamingo.

It was fucking gay and disappointing.

I can't wait until we get Luffy's true transformation. Gear 5 Monkey Devil God Awakening King!

That's not a DF ability though? Dude was a monk, monks do weird shit.

It's interesting to me that Luffy has thought of multiple forms to it. I wonder if there is one that focuses on speed.

>Base Luffy is weak
>One shots Pacifista with a jet pistol
>Beats Chinjao

Jet pistol is gear 2 and he used gear 3 against Don Chinjao. He's talking about no gear Luffy.

NOT AN ARGUMENT

t. Someone who sees what Sanji really is.

That user just said other attacks, not "the big thing". Like we saw kkg, then a new attack kong organ and even a new g4 form.

what will Luffy do when he awakens? Doflamingo turned other things into strings, but there's no guarantee all the Paramecia work like that and I don't see how would that help Luffy anyway. Maybe making extra rubber arms?

True but personally at this point I don't consider Gear 2 and gear 3 to be Luffy's transformations or powerups, just apart of base Luffy post timeskip.

I think it's perfect. Better than any of the speculated ideas about what Gear 4 would be. It kinda brings back the old days where Luffy was immune to blunt attacks since he can harden his skin to block the haki yet still absorb the impact.

And I like how he retracts his fist to give punches more power. Reminds you of Bellamy.

It does look silly though.

It would of been better if he used more rolling boulder type attacks with that round frame. Anyone else notice that despite being an iron cannonball, the fight scenes weren't properly portrayed like that. Also environmental breakage on the level of Thor would of been good despite being in a smaller form all the time.

that's not how you spell senor pink

even his english va was awesome

...

why the fuck did you make another thread, there's already one up

Fanfics were a mistake and should never happen.

That Pentagram fucking ruins ti.

...

So everyone is always saying how Oda is such a master of planning and how everything is hinted at early on

this latest chapter proved that talk is just wrong. If Oda really was a master planner as people claim, we would have seen the Germa comic much before in the series yet it only shows up in chapter 825 like it's some long running thing everyone has read before

That and my problem with this arc is we JUST finished a giant arc with an evil tyrant Don Flamingo being taken down with all these super high stakes... to have yet another arc so soon with the exact same idea makes the impact weak

If I call you a fucking idiot will you go on a shitposting tyrant?

It's the New World, the stakes are only going to get higher from here on out. No time for fucking around anymore.

If he just got super buff all around and got a little bigger it'd be fine; keep the black tattoos though, they're cool.

I mean, it is called the devil fruit.

well agreed that the stakes are higher but it feels more like he's just running out of ideas and repeating them

If I call you a butt flustered shit head will you agree?

>keep the black...s though, they're cool.

Well yeah, I know that. But the Pentagram just kinda ruins the look of it. It doesn't mesh well with the design, if you'd remove the edgy pentagram it would actually look better.

ODA, WHERE'S MY NIGGA ZORO?

>So everyone is always saying how Oda is such a master of planning and how everything is hinted at early on
"No"

This is one of those things everyone says people say but no one actually says

Is this corazon?

Oda has legitimately foreshadowed quite a bit, although not to the ridiculous extent some claim. Plus, conception of material has to start at some stage and not everything will or has to be referenced early on.

...

Is that nemo

Great in the manga, except for the first use initially failing against Doffy.
I had a shred of hope for the anime to animate it properly, but they really fucked it up. I guess thats what I get for trusting Tojew
>Isn't that kind of his snake shot technique?
Thats like weird Geppo
>also when he stretched his neck around nami
Wasn't that anime only shit?
>Vulcanisation
Too chemical and, isn't 3rd/4th g kinda ike that?
>Mr Fantastic
Thats more like it. Any creaative uses for that?
>Luffy encapsulates the enemy and rattles them around making an awful lot of noise
>Gomu Gomu no Maraca

I like it, but fuck me if I can't stand the hueg man tiny limbs and head shit, which Oda can't stop fucking doing.

>Wasn't that anime only shit?

Nah. Chapter 653 and the one where they are leaving Zou

Why is this left to right?

If Luffy gets hard could he still stretch and bend his erection?

Well, there's no bone in your dick, so if he has enough blood (g2 maybe?), he could.

Also, my mistake. Luffy's creativity lately has only been stretching his arms, like we have seen in these panels from chapter 822 and 852

Because I'm stupid and copypasted both panels in the wrong order since they were from different pages.

Who knows

Stop bumping autismo's thread.
This the real thread

>90% shipfags
no thx

Is this another proof of history repeating itself or just coincidences in character design ? they're both vice captains and swordsmen after all.

Is Rayleigh a swordsman though? He just seems like an all-rounder who also uses a sword?

everything seems to point to it. I mean he does wander around with a sword on him. and he has no devil fruit. most people fighting with haki usually have swords.

So I just finished thriller bark, and I'm kind of conflicted about something. Aside from a noticeable drop in quality from all the previous arcs, though it was still enjoyable, didn't luffy, zoro, sanji, and robin essentially die and get replaced by clones? Their heads got fucking burnt off, which would have destroyed their brains, and then their shadows forced their body to grow a new head. Which would have an identical mind that was not the same individuals as before. Because even a clone is still a different consciousness from the original. I know I'm totally overthinking this and Oda probably didn't think this much about it, but sadly I have autism and can't get it out of my head. It's disturbing to think those four got totally replaced, and as far as we can factually determine in both reality and One Piece, the brain is the seat of consciousness, and the only source of consciousness, which once destroyed can be replaced, but not brought back itself. So, is there an explanation for why Luffy Zoro Sanji and Robin didn't totally get replaced by identical minds, or if they did actually not get replaced?

I thought the same thing, but in one piece's world Souls are a big thing. Your soul is basically all of you. That's why brook is moving, and the fragments of soul big mom steals have personalities one they are "homies". If shadow are connected to your brain, then your brain is connected to your soul. so they're the same before and after.
