Senpai, he ded for sure.

The moment that ear splitting noise started in the background and his acting got beyond unholy good I immediately thought pic related.

>eyes suddenly turned red
>he actually came back for haunting

Reincarnation, bitch.

Well he's obviously going to die but that's not a tragedy in itself, dying is what old people do, his rakugo will live on through that semen demon, all hail the ninth Yakumo.

He's an old man, user. It's inevitable and you hear those theater people even comment on it.

Surprised this isn't more popular to be honest. Really good quality show with a great atmosphere.

at least we still have this cutie left ;_;

People are afraid to catch the gay.

I suppose in essence it's a story that could easily exist without being an anime.

That said I'm enjoying it a lot.

Is there a gay character? I don't remember any.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that bizarre reputation it got merely by being in a certain genre.

Only time I remembered was when noticing Bon did seem a bit like an old queen, rather than someone still hung up on his first love.

But that's nice too, right? Also the rakugo scenes are wonderfully done.

It is, because the problem is part of what Hayao Miyazaki said about anime being written by people that hate or don't get people.

What makes Rakugo fantastic and compelling is the characters.

It's great to hear the VA's have to put on, or flub tonal differences to show skill or incompetence in the rakugo.

Because modern anime audience can't really stand actual characters that aren't flat archetypes or cute girls doing cute things. Then again it's also just the nature of the show.

joshiraku was also underrated, though. certainly compared to everything else that aired.

joshiraku was just a kumeta show, meaningless to non-japs and boring to japs

I have a friend who seems to have forgotten that if characters don't always state what they're thinking or feeling, it's pretentious or bad writing. What the fuck have other attempts at "mature" storytelling in anime been doing?

I get what you mean. Without inherent understanding of the culture and fluency in the language some things aren't amusing.

What I like about Showa Rakugo was all the stories in it are comedic or interesting through nuance.

Blue cotton cabinets and the like.

shan't spoonfeed you

Did you reply to the right post? I wasn't making a request.

It's inherent in the people, not the medium. I have friend who won't watch something unless it is funny.

Kind of like how Marvel's films have to have constant quips and snides to hold attention.

no recs for you

I wasn't asking for recs.

MC is a faggot who married an used goods slut and is literally raising her wife's kid.

What most impresses me is the story of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is a rakugo story.

I fucking jumped when I saw the red eyes. This is one of the few openings that I never skip, so it startled the hell out of me.

That too, very amusing and meta, their stitched together household is part of the theme which doesn't get.

I did too, shit was going to go down.

hey user, sorry I may be kinda lost, what do you mean by Blue Cotton Cabinets?

Short hair Konatsu torn between getting her way and being a nervous wreck is beyond cute in S2.

>skipping openings ever

>dat feel when already a contender for AOTY

even dying he has style

Sometimes you just don't want to waste time.

I'm just glad the whole "who's the father?" thing was resolved in like, one episode. You KNOW a lesser show would've made that a huge dramatic and ultimately pointless plot point.

>Surprised this isn't more popular to be honest. Really good quality show with a great atmosphere.
First episode is 1 hour, no action, almost no fanservice unless you are a fujo, realistic characters which are genuinely flawed.

Yeah, I wonder why.

That really says much more about anime viewing audience than the show itself, though.

Yes, that was the point.

I want a doujin of Kiku guiltyfucking him as he thinks of Shin.

Am I a bad person?

Joshiraku was very much enjoyable just for the inane talks and the parts where they'd go sight seeing Tokyo's districts.

No, shotas like this are made for rape.

Can we have one thread without this shit? Yes, we all love it. No, it's not super popular (it's hardly ignored, though). We all get this, it's come up a million times, we don't need to circlejerk about our superior taste every thread.

That reminds me of something.

Marii is by far best girl. I think Kikuhiko feel into a coma or had a stroke.

>Feel
I meant fell.

I feel bad for doing this stitch.

That one suffered more from the difficulty of subbing it than anything.

Why?

This OP is so god-tier, I can't stop listening to this, please help

>has Kiku's eyes and hair color
>has Shin's face

This would have been their love child if that had been possible.

How many people fapped to that?

That's something to be proud, silly.

> we don't need to circlejerk about our superior taste every thread

I'm waiting for the show to end to actually watch it. Did that with S1 and that proved to be a good choice.

>Josei
>Genre

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG

I just want her to be happy. :(

She is.

Tell us: what is the qualitative merrit of homolust?

>Literally bitches and whores - the anime
>Homolust

Are you retarded?

First season was better to be honest.

At least it didn't have these Windows Movie Maker transitions, what is the director doing?

It's all DEEN can afford.

Wrong anime, m8. YOU KNOW she'll be fucked.
