Matthew 6:19-20 “Do not store up treasures for yourself on the earth”

Luke 6:24-25 “But alas for you who are rich, for you have your comfort”

James 5:1-6 “Come now, you who are rich, weep, howling out at the miseries that are coming for you”

Why does this sound nothing like the Christianity that nu/pol/ keeps talking about?

The first Christians lived a communist way of life according to Acts 4:32-35 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. And Gods grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need."

Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

No ambiguity.

"Each according to his abilities" has Biblical origins too. Act 11:29 states: "29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea." And "To each according to his needs" is Biblical, too. Acts 4:35 "to the emissaries to distribute to each according to his need."

Christ amd the first Christians weren't communist or socialist, they were Christian, lol

Atheistic socialism and communism borrowed from Christianity, replaced God with man, and the various horrors and flavors are what follows. Sharing because I agree to, think you deserve it, or believe you have earned it is one thing. Forced redistribution via government coercion is another. I could just as easily site all the passages where Christ says 'if a man dose not work, he does not eat', and when he sites parrables of the poor men working in the vineyard and always accepting that which they agreed upon before the work began.

2/10 bait, got me to respond.

>communists
>some owned land or houses aka private property
>also only sold private property from time to time, most of the time they kept their private property

"He who does not work shall not eat" - 2 Thessalonians 3:10

There are some actually decent arguments you could make for non-Capitalistic economies in the Bible, but you chose the stupid ones because you don't actually read it, you just use it as a tool to try to convince others to agree with you

some people will agree and disagree with you on the issue, with both sides citing the bible and yet arriving at opposing conclusions

gee why wont god clear this up?? wonder why

>doesn't at all understand what communism is
>"He who does not work shall not eat" - 2 Thessalonians 3:10
This isn't anti-communist you mong.

>>some owned land or houses aka private property
>>also only sold private property from time to time, most of the time they kept their private property
No evidence of this among the early Christians, nice try though.

Acts 4:32-35 "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

How does that square with private property in the sense you are invoking?

nah its pretty clear
when good stuff is done voluntarily people go to heaven

Christ was literally a cult leading mooch.

Nigga this is the direct opposite of what the bible says you dumb larprat

Context matters, OP. This is 3/10 bait. When you read a text like the Bible it is imperative you keep context in mind. Who was being addressed, where, when, how, why - keep these in mind. Hermeneutics.

This, well done fellow patriot.

We reap what we sow and commies do not reap yet they sow.

>vague handwaving
>no specific refutation

Not an argument bud

>I don't understand communism, the comment

Does anybody understand communism?

(((Jesus)))

You will never convince a Christian to follow the teachings of Jesus or the first chuch in acts of the apostles. Christian d nominations are their own clubs, they don't care what Jesus taught.

Wealth is relative.

clearly not this dumb fucker

Capitalism is one side of the Jewish coin, the other side is communism

Jesus sure did.
