So she's from brooklyn

And she likes potatoes

And akko

That explains why she knows how to dance like a stripper. I've met my share of girls who started stripping when they were underage here.

BROOKLYN RAGE

...

...

Why is it flopping, my friends?

Love that smile

Weebs prefers shitty isekai.
Don't worry, Trigger always finds a way ;_;

no plot

Why is she such pure sex?

I'm starting to feel like the producer when she said she'd hope to still be around in five years.

how is it that we're only at episode 4 and we've already gotten a filler episode that doesn't expand on the characters or have a remotely fun plot?

...

>>Yoshinari was very specific that she's from Brooklyn and of Irish descent
Given Trigger's fascination with anglosphere culture, this is either a Captain America reference, a Frank McCourt reference, or a reference to that Saoirse Ronan movie

Potato blood

It's a Disney cartoon but not on the Disney Channel.

It's been mostly just background shit so far, I'd imagine Andrew's introduction will be leading to a kicking off of the show's actual plot

maybe because it's the anime equivalent of a dime-a-dozen saturday morning cartoon? you should watch Totally Spies and see if you like that too

He was very specific that she's of Irish descent

It was Producer-san who said she's from Brooklyn, just off the top her her head because that seemed right to her, with the caveat that that doesn't count if something comes up later on to supersede that statement

Stop being such depressing cunts and dicks.

Better look at these cute stuff.

criminal-like like that, gotta be a new yorker

Love the Enchanted Parade poster.

there needs to be a navel licking monster that they must all face

one that even overwhelms diana

especially diana

in fact it focuses so much on diana the entire episode, and that's the entire episode in a nutshell, diana getting captured and entangled by it and exploited by it

I love Amanda!

Amanda has sexy legs.

>show that westerners funded
>Nips don't like it

Really makes you think

Gee Akko how come you get two keychains and two pogs?!

>talking shit about Totally Spies

She dresses like a dork

This word is totally meaningless now.

...

lol Constanze, you lazy fuck

>sample

Cant see shit

Forget the cute stuff, chariot and papirodia cards with the first BD confirmed.

>Characters that were super interesting and sufficiently developed in the short movies have been reduced to generic slice of life caricatures.
>The overall production value and animation quality have been greatly reduced.
>No cool awesome magic stuff, just day to day school life stories.

Oh, and worst of all, the story hasn't even started yet! We're five episodes in and nothing has happened yet!! If this was a 12 episode anime and not a 24 episode one, and we were thus at the half way point, I'd fucking drop this show. I really hope they're playing the long game and the plot starts to kick off, cause honestly, this is starting to feel like a cash grab more than an actual thought out show.

Even better.

>Irish make the most badass Americans.

That's a Lotte of curves.

It's a well done episodic family cartoon with some western vibes.
Trigger fans are pissed its not wacky crazy shenanigans with a rollercoaster plot, and the general anime audience isn't interested in a show that has cute little girls without the slice of life /u/ pandering.

It'd have more of a market on Disney Channel or Cartoon Network honestly.

Lotte is not for sexual

We need a high res version of this

>Oh, and worst of all, the story hasn't even started yet!

You can't be unironically saying that you don't think that the story is about Akko learning to be a witch and her lifestyle in the academy with her friends.

They're still expecting this to be the next Kill la Kill or Luluco.

I'm new to the whole BD sales statistics thing, but LWA is estimated to sell over 3000 copies, which is in the top 10 for the season. How is that a flop?

Stop bullying the akko

...

What's better

Inferno Cop or Space Patrol Luluco?

Vol1 is currently estimated to sell a bit less than 2.5k.

How do we fix this show, Sup Forums?

Well that makes them fucking faggots, especially if they are supposed to know that Trigger themselves said don't want to be stuck that get stuck in just one type of style.

i'll buy the dianas and hannahs

It would sell better if they put anything other than the CD itself

I want to smell a little witch so bad.

Inferno Cop was one joke that was really funny at first but got old by episode 4.

Luluco was a bit rocky in the middle but it began and ended on strong notes and I want to see more of her adventures. It's the better show.

Sushi

We kill Tattun.

Okay but how is that a flop?

Ultra-retarded question : does blu-ray sales still matter that much? With all the piracy there is? Isn't a new economic model in place? They would never survive if theyre counting on sales.

No beta male harem MC for nips to self-insert with.

Plastic fucking paddies I swear to God.

I WANT TO CUM INSIDE SUCY!

...

diana wasn't really all that interesting beyond that she was tsundere for chariot

still, i liked her because she's a qt

Tattun already answered that.

BD rating threads are just for fun shitflinging that Sup Forums loves. Only retards take it seriously

Get in line.

I'm pretty sure we can find examples of series with only girls that worked. Like most slice of life animu

Start giving Diana flaws, Jasminka does more than eat and occasionally be useful,Teachers get shown they have lives other than teaching besides Badcock.

diana isn't really as flawless as episode 5 hammed everything up to be

episode 5 was just pretty bad, i hope the ceo never writes another episode again

tattun, if you're listening, please for the love of god, i don't want to cringe at simpleminded dialogue and behaviors like that

I wish Jasminka was some slim emo/goth who hates everyone

sadly, she's saving that right for mommy

Everyone here have probably seen or read Harry Potter except me because I was too old and missed the train, so I have a question : many people told me it was very similar, but is it really, or is it just because there's magic in it? (also, is it actually good? Book or movies?)

So the complete opposite of what she is?

Can you imagine how blacked she is? I'm surprised she can walk straight.

>So this is the power of magic

Hahahahaha Nyeh?! that really got me user

Tattun only answered based on what he knows. he works at Trigger, a company that's pretty much Good Smile Company's little bitch along with Order and Liden Films. The majority of late night anime still relies on BD sales to some extent, sometimes being the major factor of success or failure.

Trigger is one of those production companies that will never go under, but will never really grow either.

Exactly.

Last ep had wacky crazy shenanigans with a rollercoaster plot and it was retarded.

Just because it has magic and a magical school.

Literally that.

Other people compare this to The Worst Witch as well, but I haven't read that book, so I can give my opnion on that one.

I'm starting to despair slightly over how little Yoshinari shit we're getting.

There's been no (Yoh) Yoshinari animation. No Yoshinari illustrations besides these two very simple ones. Even the model sheets have apparently been completely overhauled by Handa.

He storyboarded eps 1 and 2, his storyboarding is competent but nothing special, more seasoned boarders on the show already outclass him.

We know he's been doing lot of corrections on animation but that just makes it salvageable as opposed to impressive in any way.

I would have hoped just literally running the production wasn't solely on his shoulders, him being so in the background feels like a crime. Hopefully he'll become more visible towards the end of the cour? I hope this is the reason the show's had so much of a slack in it in the first half of the cour.

Who the fuck is this

Obviously, a witch.

>but is it really, or is it just because there's magic in it?
Both series' are about a trio of young kids being invited to a European wizarding school where they learn the basics of magic and get into mischief with mythological creatures. The way they portray wizards is very classical, with brooms, potions, frogs, owls, etc. Both leads grew up in the human world, have a lot to learn about how this secret magical society actually works, and deal with coming of age stories over the course of the series.

The difference comes in the tone and plot structure. Harry Potter starts off as silly childrens adventures in the first two or three books with an overarching narrative about Harry being the chosen wizard and the only person who's survived a fatal blow from the deadliest evil wizard of their time, but as it goes on it veers into dark fantasy young adult fiction. A lot of its fame and popularity comes from the fact it was one of the first series' to really grow up with its readers, with every new book taking itself more seriously and trying to relate to issues like highschool romance that would connect to its aging fanbase. Meanwhile LWA is just a cute silly cartoon and isn't pretending to be anything but that.

>same stupid oily hentai balloon tits and ass with tiny disproportionate head
>off model same uguu face
Yawn~
What's the fucking point??
Why bother drawing a character if it looks NOTHING like her, garbage artfags.

>The way they portray wizards is very classical, with brooms, potions, frogs, owls, etc.
When you think about it, it's a little weird that they portrayed wizards as riding brooms, that's always been witches, not wizards.

i ask a similar question when people draw characters in style, but have them doing sexual acts and ahegaoing all over the place like cookie cutter generic porn

Rowling is a massive hack so its not a big surprise.

my.mixtape.moe/qksitp.mp4

They has similarities. Magical boarding school, blonde ubermensh with two lackies, the weird girl, flying broom based sports, dangerous creatures slumbering right at the school, the forbidden forest, contentions over magical blood purity, magical creatures working as part of the maintenance staff, magical item shops that are in town... I'm sure there's more but it's been years since I read Harry Potter

A solid 3/4 of all the problems with the Potter universe if looked at logically are her being an idiot and not thinking things through, with the remaining quarter due to her bad taste in just about everything.

Harry Potter uses the terms wizards and witches interchangeably, usually just calling guys the prior and girls the latter.

And brooms are iconic for witches.

Rowling had no original ideas of her own. Harry Potter himself is clearly a rip-off of Tim Hunter.

Are there alternative "brooms" out there?
Do they ride on mortars and pestles out on Poland and places?

They ride vacuum cleaners in Salem.
