The economy in Lebanon is horrible. Unemployment is very high, thanks to the plethora of Syrian refugees that entered our country and took our jobs for a much lower wage. In addition, the students that are graduating from college barely have any open job opportunities, particularly those doing engineering, as almost everyone in Lebanon is an engineer, so these men are forced to emigrate from the country, further reducing our economy. Our economy today is much poorer as compared to 6 years ago. 6 years ago, especially during Christmas, people were always on the streets buying items, and they never went back home. Today at a once famous area known for its market, barely anyone is there. Ever since Aoun took the presidency, our economy rose by only 1%.
You're aware economies in 2017 are based on debt and artificial currency, right? That means things will only truly get better after this entire system collapses. Not a pretty picture, but if you want change it's the only way, and I'd recommend you become self reliable both because of that and because it will do your soul good. If it doesn't collapse there will be anothee crisis whose reasons aren't solved, such as 2008, and working people will continue being milked and brainwashed.

The cost of putting your kids through college so you can actually have a new generation of educated competent workers has gone massively up.
