Japan and America weren't really enemies before WW2, as many in the military between the two countries had a mutual respect for one another. Many thought they would be strong allies. There was a lot of disagreement about attacking Pearl Harbor in upper military leadership but it was the one chance they had to eliminate the last major threat to them in the Pacific. Literally within days of their surrender the Japanese police were helping Americans track down war criminals for trial (many committed suicide instead of facing charges).
Germany was full of cucks who fell to the Nazi meme and begged for gibsmethats after the war. I respect Japan much more, especially today.

He also deliberately provoked the Japanese attack through the embargo which effectively amounted to a declaration of war because it left them no other choice. There is also quite a bit of evidence suggesting that FDR knew that Pearl Harbour was coming and let it happen because HE NEEDED the war to cover his failed economic policies.
