A lot of the appeal of this show is in the voices too I think. The exact way Serval says Sugoi or the exact way Otter says Tanoshii are very important.

That's a good point. There's no way in fuck a dub can make the continual usage of TANOSHII, SUGOI, WAI, etc. sound natural in English. Japanese has no such qualms for repeated phrases.

There are plenty of shows animated in MMD (and most of them are unironically good), so people assumed this one was one of them based on the director's previous works and how it looks in general.

So the manga is over, the game is shutdown.

Maybe at least the anime can get a continuation though if it is profitable and they didn't finish the story in 12 episodes.

Not really unlikely at all. If the show is profitable in BD sales/CD sales then just like any other series there is a likelihood it will be funded for more no different than anything else.

Especially not unlikely if you consider shows of a similar quality and low budget like gdgd Fairies and Tesagure only sold 3-4k and both got multiple seasons and even a film for one of them.

They've increased the radio show to biweekly according to too. So maybe they might come out with more stuff. Guess it just depends on how quickly the can get it to market and how sustainable they think the popularity is.

That's what's amazing; PLENTY of possibilities since they're literally amorphous blobs that can have tentacles, and there's tons of girls with costumes that can be turned into crazy fetish things. I'm almost proud that they've not done it. Though I'd be lying if I said I didn't want some.

It's ugoira, also known as a bunch of images shown in sequence by the browser instead of being a webm file or something because japs are fucking weird.
You can try ugoira.dataprocessingclub.org/ when you find one of those, but it's kind of unreliable.

Basically pixiv has the rights to every art posted there.

Am I the only one that kind of enjoys the low budget look, completely unironically? There's something humble and unassuming to it that I think somehow enhances the enjoyment, I think it might lose that somehow if it were animated with over the top quality like 5cm per second or garden of words or whatever.

The physics for episode one were janky as fuck. They really didn't get the movement of the 3D models down until episode three or four.
