Guys, how can I reach the timeline in which Haruhi S3 is announced? We already reached Code Geass R3, but without Haruhi there is still work to do.

Wait 5 years for next big anniversary.
Travel to japan and beat the shit out of Tanigawa until he makes another book.

Ok guys, I'm also traveling back in time to tell Kadokawa and Kyoani that endless 8 is a bad idea.
Do you want to leave some other message?

>Endless 8
>Bad idea

It's a brilliant pleb filter that emphasises on the suffering of Yuki. Anyone, ANYONE who was too lazy to watch it will NEVER deserve to watch Disappearance because you never understood the torment she went through.

But user, reconsider it...
You don't need 8 FUCKING episodes to portray the same feeling, don't you think?

create a word-giving machine to give tanigawa more words

To dear Aya Hirano:
> Please, kindly consider to also fuck the bassist.

Damn Hauhi is surprisingly phat in their newer artwork

Do your homework.

Why do you care that it got 8 episodes if the number of episodes matter? Clearly making 8 episodes made you more emptional than in they only made 1. With a number of episodes this great, you get to experience the desperation and the first hand, and as you watch more and more episodes, you just give in and accept that it will truly last forever. With only 1 episode, you'd lose out on a lot of these feelings. You'd just get a superficial idea that Yuki experienced this, you couldn't really understand how she felt.

*if the number of episodes doesn't matter

Do you think they should have done 888 episodes?

They should have done ALL the episodes.

But seriously, I think you need to draw a line somewhere. It was a great improvement to the art that they made 8 episodes, and a greater number of episodes could possibly cause an experience of getting numb or temporary brain damage, so in a way it would bring a bigger experience. But the story also needs to keep going, it'd be a shame if the anime got stuck for years there, although that would also bring the experience much closer to Yuki. But this is a project that will get diminishing returns the more you add. At a low number of episodes, the artistic value increases significantly for each episode you add, while 300 or 400 episodes is not that significant. So it would get very expensive for what you gain. It would also have caused me to not watch season 2, so I would have missed out. And it would have stolen a lot of Kyoani's production capacity so we'd never have gotten K-On!! or Hyouka, and probably have killed the studio, so no, I don't think we should have gotten that many episodes.
And I think "8 years" would have been a nicer number than 888 episodes.

Now, if we should have gotten 9 episodes? I really like the beauty of Endless 8 having 8 episodes, so I wouldn't want it, I think 8 is perfect. Adding another episode does not make up for the destruction of this beauty.
If they had an artistic vision with breaking the beauty, however, maybe. But then ot'd have to be good.

No matter how well you try to paint this, I can't help but feel that 8 episodes was fucking excesive.

I'm not saying that one episode is enough, maybe 4 could have been better but EIGHT. That's 2 months of series, that's just too much.

>It's a brilliant pleb filter
I hope you know it wasn't supposed to be a form of artistic brilliance. They only did it because they had to pad out the season until the Disappearance.

If you needed to portray a situation 8 times to emphasize how the characters was feeling, maybe there's a fundamental flaw in what's going on in the episode.

...

Is the licensed translation of the novels any good?

Yes it's fine.

Thanks. I'm getting the first book delivered tomorrow. I haven't watched the anime and I have more time for reading Light Novels than watching anime.

Enjoy it while it lasts user,

I will, it's going to take me a while to catch up anyway. I will take my sweet ass time reading them. Is there anything in the anime I should watch on top of reading it?

Next year's the 15th anniversary of the first LN.

is the endless8 arc in the LN just the same chapter over and over until, the end?

Also Asahina. She looks hot.

user, if one day the entire series gets animated by kyoani with the original cast, then I will agree with you that those 8 episodes were worth it. As it stands now, they sound great in concept, but not so much in reality. Because all I can think about when thinking about them is how much further the series could have been animated. Also, how much did they contribute to the series decline in popularity by doing this.

Not really, but you might want to rewatch the show after you finish reading it because there's a ton of detail you'll see in the first two seasons + movie that reference things that happen in the future novels.

So anons, which one would you prefer?
There never being a S3 or an anime original S3 that's so bad it makes you feel like you're living in the darkest timeline?

>anime original S3 that's so bad it makes you feel like you're living in the darkest timeline
Hell already exists.

First

Why would it be "anime original"?, There is a lot of content to adapt. If there is S3 someday, it' doesn't make any sense to be original content.

Why do you do this to me? Why do you give me hope?

Because that's my duty, to never let it truly die.

nothing is going to HAPPEN

Shut your hoe mouth

That's not stopping me.
