Mine too.
Honestly if it came out today it would still be in the upper bracket of the season.

At least the mind tentacle gore was really well animated from what I remember
Also some fanservice for every single weird fetish in existence.

Besides obvious stuff like Dragon Ball or Pokemon, my first anime was Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, and my first manga was something called Desire Climax.

FLCL. Awesome introduction to anime.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I got into anime when I found out Toonami had come back. My first anime were Toonami's 2012 lineup.
>Kaichou Wa Maid Sama
>Desire Climax
Are you a girl?Or gay?

No, I'm not from Sup Forums

No and no.

Besides obvious stuff like Dragon Ball or Pokemon, my first anime was Gundam Wing.

>Gundam Wing.

exactly the same here man. fucking gundam wing. i'm gonna have to watch it again, downloaded the whole series years ago.

first adult swim anime was cowboy bebop

Sailor Moon

FMA03. Back when anime was new and exciting for me.

I can't remember, probably saint seiya or dragon ball.
But the first one I downloaded was chobits. I downloaded it from emule.

Shuffle!

>first show I watched with Sup Forums
Code Geass

Dragon Ball or Tekkaman Blade but I didn't know that they were anime and I didn't find out what Tekkaman's actual name was until very recently.

Azumanga Daioh, watched in parts on YouTube

Real first anime? Some shit from Locomotion, or Pokemon, I'm not sure.
First anime I watched on a computer? Dokuro-chan.

Same here

Elfen Lied was the first anime i watched not on TV but on a computer, it's good

street fighter the animated movie my friend bought it from a game shop when it was released in japan. Back in the day when you had to get your anime from fan subs in the back room on vhs.

Speed Racer and Cowboy Bebop

first manga: barefoot gen

I was lucky enough to catch on classic Toonami circa 2003 when even they had no idea what it was exactly

only improving with age and i'm glad Sup Forums generally still has a high opinion of it

Probably Inuyasha airing on late night Teletoon.

First anime would be the usual Dragon Ball, Naruto, Pokemon etc. The anime that got me into anime itself would be Clannad .

Air by KeyTV.
Pretty fucking good.
The problem is that now I only like slice of life/romance anime

Black Butler and Ouran High School Host Club in high school. I really liked both but I wouldn't BB anywhere near my top favorite animes today.

Oreimo S2

It was likely Vampire Hunter D.

I was given some books from the Mega Man manga when i asked for some "Comic Books" From my mom. I then read Naruto which led to me watching the show. The first seasonal anime i watched was Gurren Lagann.

That's completely fine. SoL is the end game for anime.

probably soul eater or inyuasha on Tonami, or bludgeoning angel dokura chan

First anime I consciously watched knowing it was called "anime" was Hellsing TV.

The first anime I watched was DBZ, but the first show that really got me into anime as a whole was Ranma 1/2. It was perfect for teenage me, it had action, comedy and titties. After that I watched Urusei Yatsura, then movies like Akira and Vampire Hunter D. Finally the first box series I ever bought was Record of Lodoss War, and I love the series to this day.

Saint Seiya or Candy Candy.

Fuck, I don't remember. If anime I watched before I knew it was anime counts, then... like, Maya the Bee?

For knowing it was anime, probably Sailor Moon, back in the 90's?

Welcome to the NHK

I've never watched any anime, I only post anime images that I saved from random posts.

Naruto on Toonami.

I feel so fucking old...

Astro Boy

I was maybe 8 at the time and these are what I'd watch after school on the TV:

>Detective Conan
>Captain Tsubasa
>Samurai Pizza Cats - Seems noone but that australian dyke from Orange is the new black has heard of this one.
>Ranma 1/2
>Sailor Moon
>Dragon Ball

I remember playing their NES game

That's a weird introduction to anime.

get on my level

Oh and Red Baron, It was about giant robo boxing.

Nothing else was appealing to me at the time, now I can watch just about anything

First anime I watched was probably pic related on tv.
First anime I watched consciously was Lucky Star because I thought it looked cute

I remember reading the Elfen Lied manga on fucking youtube

Ranma 1/2 and DBZ en espanol.

If kids shows like Anpanman or Doraemon don't count, then DBZ.
I didn't really start watching anime knowingly until Hell Girl.

Come again?

Shakugan no Shana. It was shit.

Some guy uploaded the manga translated in spanish on youtube.
It was basically a slideshow probably made with windows movie maker, but I didn't know better so I read all of it, including extra chapter, on youtube.

As a first manga, I was not disappointed.

As in literally(without being aware that chinese cartoons were its own thing), World Masterpiece Theater Stuff and Kimba.

Pokemon.

Like a normal person

First anime I saw?
Samurai Pizza Cats back in early 90's (spanish dub in hueco mundo)

First anime I saw in Japanese?
Elfen Lied and Mai Hime in 2005

...

Aside from the stuff they'd air on UK TV channels like Pokemon, Medabots, and Yu-Gi-Oh, the first anime I watched was Sola.

...

Friend recc'd me Bible Black, sounded interesting, didn't speak to him for a whole week afterwards.

First serious one
SAO: - >SAO2
started reading the ln dropped it amidst gun gale online in disappointment

Elfen Lied was such edgy shit, loved it when I was underage.
Literally "Mature anime for mature kids such as myself", I miss that naivety.

>Mature anime for mature kids such as myself
Literally Tokyo Ghoul

>naivety
Naivete.

Thank you Hitler.

Is it lied, like I lied to you, or is it german word for song, which sounds liked lee-duh?

Naruto unfortunately.
Well aside from dbz and pokemon that are the obvious ones.

Me, my big brother and some friends of his would gather around into his place when a new episode had been translated. Only he had an internet connection back then and he downloaded the stuff. We would a new episode, have a good time and then we would play BF1942, BF2 and starcraft the rest of the day.
Good times. To be honest I never liked Naruto even during its first seasons that much, it was more the social aspect that made it fun back then.

ignoring the big ones CCS was on teletoon and gundam wing on ytv in 2000 I rented gits when I was 12 and loved it ytv aired SAC a few months later along with FMA .hack SEED and by some retarded reason I ended up finding Sup Forums in early 2004 which in turn showed me fan subbing/manga

hated weebs and the big 3 as a teen thanks to you faggots also kept my power level in the closet at all costs

I don't watch cartoons.

my babby's first manga was pita-ten and some shoujo manga called kitchen princess

Heidi

First anime I saw was sailor moon and DBZ. First one I actually sat down and watched was Digimon.

Devilman OVAs or Ambassador Magma, can't really remember.

youtube.com/watch?v=fB1iKqk-_vc

obviously dragon ball, but i thought it was french so it doesnt count

the first anime that i knew was actual anime was fullmetal alchemist and great techer onizuka. i saw them on tv on very obscure channel. it was before i even had a computer not even talking about internet.

I remember watching Monster Rancher and Mahojin Guru Guru after waking up in summer
Now I actually feel like watching at least Guru Guru again but I'm afraid I won't like it and I don't want to ruin the fond memories of my childhood

Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon on UPN, Speed Racer and G-Force on Cartoon Network.
My first anime film was Odin: Starlight Mutiny on SciFi.
The first anime I watched subbed on my computer was Love Hina.

First anime I ever watched, back when I was a little kid: Dragon Ball Z.
First anime I decided on my own, even though I never actually finished watching it: Axis Powers Hetalia
First anime I that I decided to watch on my own, and that I actually finished watching: Death Note (back when I was 16 years old)

Maburaho
It was pretty bad but I fapped to the blonde for weeks

First anime: Attacker You!, Princess Sarah or Maya
First manga: PokéSpe

Excluding shit for kids shown on TV, I think it was GTO, but it also might've been Chobits or FMP.

>first manga
Lone Wolf and Cub

>first anime
Saint Seiya
