I'm willing to bet 90% of the anons who've watched Digimon watched it dubbed first, if they even went back and watched it subbed later. I hear non-Murrican subs kept the songs, though (or maybe dubbed them in translation but left them alone otherwise), because their stations aren't as retarded as ours.

I watched it dubbed at first but it was a special case in my country because for some reason they used the Japanese version so the OP/EDs and OST were from Japanese and no US video edits. The weird thing is that the names of people and Digimons were taken from US version. But the video/audio source was Japanese.

Digimon dub is the only dub they based on the original version here. Everything else was translated from English. We got the same shitty soundtracks, stupid jokes and translation errors as Americans. Luckily dubbing business isn't very profitable here because anyone who can read watches every non-English show subbed.

Brazilian dub got original audio and script for all seasons except Xros Wars.
Only the brand name and the characters names and terms (Like digiworld and digivolve) were kept in line with the american version, probably for marketing and merchandising reasons.

That season had several problems to it
1). Too short
It literally was an add-on to Xros-wars
2). Unneeded new main protag.
Seeing old characters and their iterations was a lot more interesting than anything realted to Tagiru.
And Gumdramon only had like one and a half transformations.
3). Plot
It was rushed as fuck. Especially later. Digi-Quartz and Hunters stuff were kinda boring
The cross-over stuff was exciting and I liked the concept, but we got like at the last minute, you know? It happened too late into the series and as a result it felt too rushed and too little! We only got to see main protags and their digimon and only for a short time.

It is. Hunters is Xros wars part III, not a separate series. There was some confusion at the time because of how people translated V-Jump info, but in the long run it is treated as just part of XW, like Death Generals is.

There were a lot. Every Shoutmon form from X4 onwards had their own, Kiriha has 2 (which only played one time each), Tagiru and Yuu have 1 each. Even fucking Dark Knightmon had an insert song that only got played once.

The american version has a different soundtrack, changes of dialogue without needing to and, at least in Savers case, has very dumb censorship.
