I know that OP is a Jew.

Smart Contracts. Second most capitalized Crytocurrency.

The developer is Jewish and hates Nazis on his Twitter. And the coin is breaking down.

It will be worth $17,000,000,000 soon

Fags from /biz/ are the Jew of Sup Forums

It's blockchain tech in the same way as bitcoin. This means your coin's existence is agreed upon by the network at large and record of all exchanges are kept on the chain.

It's different in that it supports the execution of applications over this network which allows for code that can't be shut down as long as the execution fee is paid.

So say a world government doesn't like that you have a torrent tracker hosted on the ethereum network. We they can eat shit because it doesn't exist on some single server that can be shut down.

It's everywhere.

I know it's made me an assload of money in the last month or two.

eth is just like btc with one key difference. with btc the blockchain pretty strictly acts as a ledger for transactions, you mine btc by contributing to the record of transactions. in eth the blockchain can be scripted to unique purposes. say you need a massive amount of processing power for some medical imaging equipment, you can script the blockchain so eth miners process your imaging data and are in turn rewarded eth. neat concept but without the right promotion it's bound to fail.

>world government
>not controlling the entire internet
>not shutting down every single offending node

Wake me up when they build their own peer to peer internet on jamming resistant portable towers

Why are you coming here for this. If you want to know there are unlimited resources available to you, and they have a chance of being right. there is nothing productive in your asking this here.

Ha? I'm just trying to see if I should invest 50 bucks or so...

good to mine not great to invest in now. However it is all a game of luck I have 33 mined ETH and I am HODL for the sake of HODL.

BitCards
reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7kdcy0/bitcoins_on_giftcard_sim_chips/
Bitcoin on a giftcard SIM:
- Simple enough even a boomer can use it.
- BTC value would stabalize. (So the bubble won't burst)
- Makes it easy for stores to adopt bitcoin as payment method.
- Easy to avoid keeping all your eggs in one basket.
- Can exchange the cards/wallets themselves to avoid transaction fees.
- Governments hate it since it'd be too hard to monitor.

you're better off putting it in btc

Really??? How much should I invest? I'm a uni student so take that onto consideration..
Also, rare flag.

ETH is up ~9000% in the past year, BTC is 'only' up 2250%.
I put $500 in because I won't miss it if I lose it. That's about it. There's a Navy base here and it's a US territory. It can't be that rare.

I think it's growing. It's cheap to buy now, unlike Bitcoin. I just want to learn more first.

The nice thing about ETH and LTC is that they are also on coinbase, which is an entry point for random people who read about this stuff in the newspaper and want to be a part of it. They aren't going to bittrex to invest in shitcoins, but they will pump up BTC, ETH, and LTC.

>shut down all nodes
You realize the nodes are people's personal computers right?

It's expensive as fuck. I don't know if it will grow a lot or crash in the next couple of years, though it's a gamble will all of them

1k soon, it will be $1500 next year pessimistic 10k if the mania continues. smart contracts blah blah projects similar to eth that will 10x eos neo strat qtum

And their ISP

I'm hoping it mirrors BTC's rise in price.

>be neet incel /k/ommando living semi-innawoods
>daddy dies and leaves me a little bit of inheritance
>invested 10k into buttcoins a couple years ago
>invest 10 k into various altcoins
>cash out 1k a week, reinvest the rest
>buy some more guns
>glow in the dark niggers in the government want to tax me for "capital gains", some made up shit where they decide part of my money is their money
>put dog shit in an envelope and mail it to the IRS
>that was 8 months ago, haven't heard back since

never paid taxes in my life aint going to start now those glow in the dark niggers can try to take it from me if they want but I'll go down shooting before I give them a fuckin dime I will be the first casualty of the crypto war if they wanna try

...

Invest as much money as you're comfortable seeing vanish for literally no reason.

I put 3k into eth over a year ago and now I'm sitting at 40k. Planning to withdraw it come the new year and pay off my debts and then start buying back in to get a nice downpayment in a few years if not a full house payment. I wish I went deeper but you can't predict the future.

What's your hash rate/ rig cost to get 33 ETH?

This is not true. Processing isn't "massive", it's just processing data to the block chain.

I know that they're as worthless as all the other cryptocurrencies. Backed by nothing and invented out of thin air.

What's it like out in Waco?

all i know is that i put 1000 dollars down on it. i just hope to earn a few thousand before its all to late.

i would have invested in bitcoin way back in the day if someone would have just shown me how easy it was to invest.

You realize fiat is exactly this right? In fact it's actually worse as crypto is at least backed by the work done to mine it and the built in scarcity.

godspeed

Yes I know, just because there is a limited supply of fiat doesn't make it any more valuable.

bro it wasnt fuckin easy for years, dont beat yourself up. also, sleep easy knowing that quite literally no one save for a couple devs and maybe two exchanges has a bitcoin they bought/mined when it was

comfy as fuck, I hook up with the local militia to go shooting twice a month

we've got a mutual protection pact, and even the sheriff doesn't fuck with us or report us when we use toys that aint allowed according to the nigger anti-constitutionalists, he even comes to shoot with us sometimes

I've tried to get these old boomers on board with the crypto thing, but they would rather hoard gold/silver/guns (nothing wrong with that), and cant be arsed to deal with computers.

I can create a currency right now and only produce 10 coins. The value of those coins is only what other people put on them. Unlike gold which has an objective value the value of my coins can be 0 or it can be $1,000,000 USD. It just depends on how much money an idiot is prepared to pay for it. The coin itself is worthless if no one will accept it.

If XRP gets added to Coinbase it will blow up.

>the absolute state of Nocoinerism

and the banks printing money isnt worse? they just print more, there is no " limit"

Ok so given that fiat has "value" despite being printed out of thin air, wouldn't you say crypto has slightly more value given that it has some scarcity built in? Further more wouldn't you say there's more value given that I can transfer millions to anyone in the world of dollars for a few cents (except on bitcoin because lol fuck you transaction fees) in a few seconds without permission or oversight from any government?

If anything gets added to coinbase it will blow up. It's like getting "amazon's choice" status.

Eth scam

ethcombo.com/?i=168118

Ethereum will be worth $2500 per coin in 2018. And it'll eventually eclipse Bitcoin in total market cap. I made over $100k from Ether in last 2 months

This is straight up spam

Right. Demand is a factor. Right now bitcoin is being purchased at 18 to 20k because people are willing to pay that much. That and the volume is 1.2 billion a day. Your analogy sucks.

>3k becomes 40k in over a year
That is pretty good progress. I would love to pay student loans like that lol

One of you friends is an FBI agent.

That's the plan. I think when the 1st rolls around I'm going to pull out enough to pay off my student loans in one go then slowly buy back my position.

> If you make money you're Jewish even though this is a libertarian board
> If you don't make money your a leech / scumbag and or racial slur

Sometimes the viewpoints of pol confuse me

Right, that's why if you want to create a legitimate currency you do it in gold.

Well the fiat used today was once backed by gold. You could trade a dollar for whatever its value in gold was at the time. That's how the dollar became used and recognized and accepted globally. So many people accepted it because it was redeemable for something. So the faith was built in and it's been running on momentum ever since while slowly losing its value and trust. Bitcoin has started out as nothing, and most people are putting money into it as an investment not as a means of exchange. It's a get rich scheme for them. if a better cryptocurrency comes along there's no reason why people won't switch to that instead of bitcoin and bitcoin will lose its value. Sorry it's very difficult to explain.

That's not an argument. I don't even think you are expecting a response to that statement right?

oh also, if a cryptocurrency comes along that is backed in gold bitcoin won't stand a chance.

Big if true

PART OF THE POINT OF CRYPTO IS THAT IT IS NOT BACKED BY PHYSICAL ASSETS, BUT BY DISTRIBUTED GROUP CONSENSUS.

aka Faith.

i think he meant chinese and south american "money"

I know that this logo looks just like the Delta Airlines logo. The same Delta that is based out of Atlanta Hartsfield Airport that is currently without power. What is this psyop?

either way, you should see a lot of similarities here in bitcoins as we did in the dot-com bubble. If we know our history we can predict the future.

>made over $100k from Ether in last 2 months
shit that is nice

Good fundamentals thus far, very strong rise. It is a lot more then just a memecoin. Also, it is technically not a cryptocurrency. It has a cryptocurrency, but it isn't one. From the whitepaper (github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/White-Paper):

"The intent of Ethereum is to create an alternative protocol for building decentralized applications, providing a different set of tradeoffs that we believe will be very useful for a large class of decentralized applications, with particular emphasis on situations where rapid development time, security for small and rarely used applications, and the ability of different applications to very efficiently interact, are important. Ethereum does this by building what is essentially the ultimate abstract foundational layer: a blockchain with a built-in Turing-complete programming language, allowing anyone to write smart contracts and decentralized applications where they can create their own arbitrary rules for ownership, transaction formats and state transition functions."

It has been going well, but there are still a number of issues. The biggest problem it seems to be having is that writing contracts is terribly hard and even experts (including core developers) has released smart contracts with bugs that resulted in million dollar losses.

I believe in it both long and short term.

Also, someone mentioned there is a communist jew creator - he is egalitarian-leaning, but I am not sure if he is a full blown communist. Especially not since he's a Canadian of Russian heritage, which means his parents might have fled the soviet collapse. Whether he's jewish or not I don't know.

Safe choice. I would do that too.

Literally fucking this.
Cryptocurrench is an awesome pyramid scheme..I've seen how much money you degenerate retards dump into 1x risers and AMD gpus.

Electroneum is the way of the future nigger

I made 10 bucks in a week and it was nice too

>cryptocurrency comes along that is backed in gold
Boomer spotted.

>LIBERTARIAN BOARD
I see why you're confused

this is a national socialist board

I'm 26 lol.

Yeah the creator's political views are, let's say, "less than ideal". You'd think his intelligence would prevent him from getting on that leftist train but guess not..

How much did you put in?

> (OP)
>the coin is breaking down.
It doubled in the past two months!

Then you're retardedly computer-illiterate for someone your age.

you don't understand

communist jews don't flee the collapse with the horrors they unleashed on the resident population in mind

they flee thinking about how they can perpetuate the scam longer and get away with it easier

Judaism is pure evil. Jews have been bred under that religion to be evil themselves.

I know that American made EOS will wipe that commie at Ethereum off the map once it gets released.

Well so far you've made 0 points so I guess that makes you even more retarded than me. Fuck off or actually come at me with something intelligent cunt.

i think you missed the australian flag

You're right, how could I have fallen into his trap?

here i am sitting on 3 kg silver. any day now

That's the funny thing. If all the disillusioned millennials all decided to buy into ETH they could flip the finical script on the baby boomers.

Gold doesn't have an inherent value. It is a worthless metal that has industrial applications. Gold's value is wholly dependent on what people wish to pay for gold.

If you're in a country that is experiencing civil war and there is nobody to buy your gold, then it is worthless. Value is based on perception.

Well it's picking up in general in my opinion, just the idea of it, and it's going sort of mainstream which is why you also get a lot of backlash from the big guys in power.

>Not Ripple
Come on

You know it's used in electronics, computers, medicine etc...and you can't make more of it right?
It has an objective value.

I've seen articles come up on why it is going to crash and so on, but hey banks can't lie right?

Faggot, gold doesn't have inherent value, you fucking nĂ¼-pol piece of shit. It's value is based on fucking supply and demand. Gold is just a metal.

this

got in at 0.23, now booming at 0.7 odd. Expect to hit a few dollars next year.

Three concerning things:
1. There is a backdoor allowing the blockchain to be changed by the foundation in case of emergency or something. I think this is wrong.
2. They are moving the PoS eventually with is a mistake. Their next move is to put PoS on top of the PoW they have which I am skeptical about too.
3. They are cuckservatives and liberals. Literally.

So, nothing definite, I think it could be a stable platform, but all the elements are their for serious bullshit to happen. Beware.

the logo reminds me of no man's sky

>you can't make more of it right?
But there's an infinite amount of it and no accurate way to tell how much of it is in circulation.

I just bought more on the recent dip under 16. Someday user.

He's very young though. Probably had similar views myself at that age. Also I don't think you can build that type of world spanning, open-for-all utility without being somewhat of a liberal/egalitarian type.

Met him in Toronto btw., at the time when Ethereum was basically just starting and nobody really knew what it would become. That was some very exciting times. Met some of the others too, including Gavin Wood (former CTO) and Christian Reitwiessner (Solidity language) in Germany, which is where a lot of their operations are based. They're all really good at what they do.

Firstly, you sound a little mad for no good reason.
Secondly, The supply is limited, it is always in demand. It doesn't have a fixed price because more is being found and more is being used so it fluctuates. So of course the price never remains exactly the same. But it still will always have an objective value. It cannot go to $0 unlike bitcoin which can literally become worthless.

Fuck yeah
How many of these bastards do you have?

I have only 65 because I got in too late. I plan on getting more on my next paycheck

where can some one talk with level headed people and learn about cryptocurrencies?

LTC you brainlets
Seriously, LiteCoin was ~$50 a couple weeks ago, ~$325 now and probably $500 by eoy and $1000 a month or two later

There's an infinite amount of gold? where? are you talking in the universe? cause I don't want to get all crazy with you and start talking about gold mining Jupiter.

No shit, and molybdenum is used in satellite and aerospace parts. But fucking deal. But molybdenum doesn't look good as jewelery, so the fucking muh gold meme overvalues what it should be, an industrial metal.
