Jordan Boomer Peterson

unintelligent

I liked how he triggered Sup Forums and alt-righters a few weeks ago and nothing came of the chimpout. Overall a good dude in my book.

He still pisses off leftists.
I still like him.

Get out of here Jordon.

No philo-semites allowed in the clubhouse.

Seems like a decent human being who errs on the side of liberty and tradition. His philosophy comes off both extremely simple and yet convoluted sometimes, and he is making mad fucking bank, but his ethics and philosophy does seem pretty solid.

Not the biggest fan of how he was actively planning on going after universities and teachers and the like, but no one is perfect.

Overall he's fine. Most here would see him as more of an ally than an enemy on multiple fronts. Some take him way too seriously though (in both directions) but at least in the defence of some who absolutely love him he DOES seem to have a very positive impact on some of their lives.

t. Jordan B Peterson
Sort yourself ote.

I mostly like him but he needs to stop saying that nationalism is bad. What's even the point of dismissing those tranny freaks if he loves individualism so much?

Light in the darkness. I like his functional/utilitarian analyses backed by science, mythology, and straight up lived experience (phenomenology). I'm fairly certain those who oppose him either don't understand what he's saying or are extremely vile people.

...

The smart man's genius

I like him

Standard Boomer living in his boomer constructed reality. Reasonably intelligent guy who has very little idea whats actually going on around him.

He puts too much faith in people.

Care to elaborate?

Kike lover. He'll swing on DOTR.

good for getting the average person interested in general deep thinking type shit, and he's a pretty well-read an astute guy

but personally I do think his open philosemitism as of late is a bit off putting.
I think one thing most people agree on is that the jews have enough advocates

Care to elaborate?

Really helped me sort myself out. Whenever I see him I think of James Damure. I bet that guy is on Sup Forums right now.

(((smart)))

Look at this stupid fucking leaf failing to write a comment.
HAHAHA

He was one of the first to get me interested in deeper thinking and questioning the popular narrative. What do you mean by the second portion of your comment? I understand his stance on the holocaust but is there more to his view points that i'm missing?

also you can really easily see the boundaries he puts on his own intellect in the name of acceptability:

>still hasn't/won't read 200 years together
>clealry loves british liberalism so much he doesn't comprehend/ is aware of the reasonable critiiques

not a pseudo-intellectual, but a bit of an intellectual coward for someone who postures so grandiously

First time posting on /pol
still figuring this out.
Care to comment on the question at hand?

(((People)))

it's just that defending any ethnic group when your stance is generally one of asserting equality to those who demand equity kind of implicitly negates what you're trying to say in the first place

also see

No but here's some advice: never EVER admit to being new on Sup Forums

redditors fucking despise him

Big Man Tyrone is supreme leader and Jordan Peterson is high priest

I wish he would acknowledge the danger of forced demographic replacement in western countries but he doesn't and actively avoids it. He hates white nationalists but is good friends with zionists. He talks like the "death of the individual" is the most dangerous thing to happen in our societies while migrant gangs are looting, raping and murdering (something you will never hear him talk about). It's much more fun and safe to focus on fighting against academia and trannies instead of bringing up the really unconformable topic of immigration.

Other than, that he is /ourguy/.

Overrated, but still a smart guy. His bible study is good stuff.

(((Canadians)))

Stop forcing this jew. I hope you're at least getting paid for that.

wrong

Everyone I've encountered who hated him was a miserable unsorted person.

(((You)))

He isn't wrong. The idea of requiring axioms is basically irrefutable.

If you just define axiom = God then that statement is true trivially, which was obviously the case he was making.

Instantly +10 points.

What? I get the ((())) thing, but I meant average people. He needs to stop talking and use his knowledge to lead. He needs more attention if anyone is going to get the warning.

Good Ideas, but doesn't see the circumstances of modern society. If he learned why men fuck off and what can be done to fix it, he would get more attention.

He is right in terms of sorting shit out, problem is that the way things are is that society doesn't fucking care about it because it doesn't venerate the bootstraps mentality easily.

Basically really good on lots of philosophical grounds.

Only problem, as many others have pointed out, is that his arguments can lead to a justification of things like Civic nationalism in many cases. Some ideas can be fudged here and there and obviously it's a bit arbitrary because you can't be super concrete in any philosophy that value (muh individualism), but at the end of the day he won't address the idea that we should just kill or at least quarantine all of (them) because he knows that the case can be made very well in favor of that. He just tried to avoid it because it's to big a pill to swallow, and you can only escape by trying to say that niggers are worth more than they cost in some deep existentialist way (they aren't).

not white enough

He's surrounded by Jews in academia who have been working very hard to influence him. He thinks they are good people and puts his faith in him. Anyone who isn't bitterly holding back the truth knows how fucking weird and shifty Jews act in person. They aren't who they pretend to be.

Fucking normie girls baka

The ideologies they push are what made him have to leave.

(((French Canadians)))

since it's easy to find people sucking his dick

- Has somewhat fucked neckbeard views on women. This video of him wearing a fedora and talking about how women only date assholes. youtube.com/watch?v=OeL-Fn0V8iU

- Likes to make up his own definitions for words

- Cannot make a concise argument, rambles on into an unfalsifiable loop

- His legal interpretation of Bill C-16 is wrong according to the vast majority of legal experts, the SJW interpretation of C-16 by the way is also wrong, yet he publicly acts like an expert on Canadian law.

Generally I like the guy a lot though and believe he's incorporating a lot of redpilled knowledge into a message that is more rounded and less fucked than one sees from most of the right. He has shown some serious overreach by the self-appointed moral authorities of today and is making good conversations happen. I believe the left is starting to also realize the failure of approaches like trying to isolate people they disagree with, to not debate them, and how it's just winning them public scorn, and I've seen some early signs of the left becoming more open to conversation and debate.

He's viciously against anti semitism which is intellectually dishonest. Also, his rejection of any form of collectivism is very cuckservative. He's pretty much white ben shapiro.

Collectivism is Socialism. Even (((Ayn Rand))) said it was a stepping stone to (((Communism))). He refutes all of them and cannot stay relevant if he goes after the Jew question.

>legal interpretation of C-16 was wrong
>meanwhile it's literally being used to silence people in universities exactly how he suggested it would

Ayn Rand is better. She exemplifies my ethos.

le clean your room man. I like him but he has a severe ego problem.

>tribalism and nepotism among jews is super cool and impressive wow they get a lot done don't they
>tribalism, nationalism etc among whites is pathetic and bad!
>only losers are anti semetic man, fuck history being littered with successful anti semites
>whats that canada, the other colonies and es-especially europe are all being invaded, demographics irreparably damaged under the guise of multiculturalism and diversity? *crickets*
>heres my patreon btw
>watch lion king and rescue your father!
>buy my book

He's a useful gateway to critical thinking at best, an intellectually dishonest rodent at worst.

Unfortunately things have already begun snowballing. I expect this century will have a lot more racially motivated bloodshed than last century, especially in yurop. So it goes.

He provides solid analyses of belief structures, but WILL NOT connect the degeneration of culture to obvious things like (((media influence))). Not meming, literally WTF

Makes the terrible mistake of thinking that psychology can give you all the answers to live a good life without knowledge of philosophy.

C-16 is as he is says, you fucking queb3ecois mallar ddu con

Good guy, has a lot to say. If you're a secularist prepare to get your world shaken up.

>actually wearing a fedora

hahaha holy shit oh my god

This. He’s obsessed with psychology and the psychology of an individual, so he never he really thinks about the bigger picture of civilization and society. This is really ridiculous when you think about it, because it’s obvious that the development of the individual and of the culture he lives in are linked together in some sort of evolutionary relationship. So by obsessing only over what individual psychology he can get no further than talking about vague feelings and sentiments an individual might have. Utter trash compared to what can be achieved with philosophy.

>Implying that philosophy in the 21st century has an existence independent of science
>Implying that science or philosophy are important compared to the problem of nihilism which threatens to swallow them both

If everyone in the west was like him we wouldn't have a problem.

Way to libertarian though, and his distaste for any form of collectivism and nationalism grinds my gears. A good gateway for newfags with good self help advice

one can only talk about nihlism in a philosophical context you dumb

Canadcuck completely misrepresents JBP, how is this fedora tier? Fedora tier is (you)

You can live a good life without "knowledge of philosophy."

Peterson is well read and incorporates philosophy into his psychology, but he's a clinician at heart so comes off as extremity utilitarian. I assure you he has a theoretical framework

You don't know what nihilism is if you think it stays in one box without flowing naturally to others.

>Jordan Peterson thread
>Ctrl+F Faith Goldy
>No matches
>Check thread
>2/3 of it isn't 1 post by this ID'ers with meme flags and 5 word posts

Interesting. I think the smear campaign might be over, or at least the controversy. There were 2-3 on the board at a time a few weeks ago. All of them, MUH Faith Goldy (literally who), and MUH Patreon, MUH KIKES! Unless there's a legit happening, I've never seen threads move as fast as Peterson threads a couple weeks ago. Now this one pops up and is slow. Are they done with him finally?

I used to like him, but then he became a meme and a lot of the stuff he teaches is pretty obvious but people act like he's some mad genius

I don't think he's actually read any postmodern philosophers

They tried to get JBP down, but he has superior meme magic so the retarded shamans of this Mongolian spear fishing forum returned defeated.

I think a lot of you guy are way to hard on him. Most of it was an obviously coordinated shill campaign against him. For like a week straight there were at least a half a dozen J P hate threads going at any given moment. He must be doing something right. I think you are expecting too much from a liberal arts collage professor(and from the leaf pile to boot). You dont see many people with the balls to stand up for what they believe in like he did these days. Its easy to name the jew on a siberian soccer symposium. His real insight is in understanding that the bible is true in a way that both atheist and fundimentalists dont. If you are looking for someone to parrot your beliefs exactly then get a woman. Otherwise learn what you can from others and ignore them where you know better

How long until they start trying to use sexual assault allegations against JBP?

>Reading postmodern philosophers
What's the point? Watch below, apparently Newton's Principia is a rape manual.

youtube.com/watch?v=b1pJ8vYxL3Q

I think he has good common sense, a thorough command of psychology, but I think his philosophical beliefs can be pretty stupid sometimes. I still don't mind him, but I'm glad that the cult like following he was developing seems to have died down. People should be able to point out his flaws without being stampeded by raging fanboys.

he is a smart man with great values. he is the leader of kekistan and Sup Forums should literally be thanking him for making there wishes come true. Sup Forums is always cancer so they wont admit that they are wrong about him

They way it was here a few weeks ago, the posters would be calling for his head. I think it's all hired disinfo though.

bases his sense of perspective on fictional, interpretive works. However good those works are is irrelevant.

Someone like that can completely over look solid facts when it goes against their own interpretive perspective on reality.

He is also pro censorship against people who are opposed to him ideologically. He calls it ironic, I call it hypocrisy. He is equally as bad as the people he faces, he's simply more eloquent.

Never, he's not one to have dirt, but it's actually not unusual for psychologists to have something dirty going on behind closed doors. It's been reputed as being the least reputable of medical science and it attracts a fair number of sketchy practitioners.

>Solzhenitsyn is great! Read everything by him!
>Antisemites are dumb! No reasonable person can have a negative view on Jews!

He's a liberal western academic. And a boomer.

Because baseless reactionary contortions of its thought get reduced to nonsense like that. One ridiculous and likely decontexualized critique of science suddenly stands in for the entirety of a nearly century year old philosophy movement? If you want an actually good postmodern critique of sciencism, read Heidegger.

>jordan peterson thread
>CTRL+F that's not how it works
>no results
>CTRL+F that's not how it words
>100 000 million results but after 10 million it doesn't matter anymore

Yeah, I don't even know how you can come away from an even cursory knowledge of Solzhenitsyn saying that the Jews are innocent, reading more than that, the idea that they can be trusted is actually deeply alarming.

I will shill for JIDF though, because JIDF lebensraum is post-facta birth control for the muslim world, and I believe, like Chris Hitchens, in helping those fanatics to die.

He is A snake oils salesman.

Why would I read about a Marxist circle jerk when I could acquire genuine information and meanwhile not subject myself to brainwashing?

Heidegger was a nazi

>Peterson criticism about the KIKES!
>Foreign flag
>somehow awake and shit posting at 5am

They're back. I agree about the Jewish intellectuals being responsible for the revolution in Russia, but there's nothing Peterson can do about it. He's in the viper den, and got into it before he knew what it was. You expect him to torpedo his career and die in shame? I think he's doing enough, people can connect the dots. He's a hero.

Yeah I saw the shepherd case and the courss instructor simply interpreted the law incorrectly, and isn't an expert in the law any more than JBP is. There wouldn't be a definitive answer as to the limits of Bill C-16 unless it was challenged in court. However Canadian legal authorities such as the Canadian Bar Society who I would consider to be relatively credible contradicted what a lot of people have said about the law.

cba.org/News-Media/News/2017/May/CBA-position-on-Bill-C-16

I don't agree with all of their politics but they're relatively authorative on this issue compared to Peterson. Being a non-lawyer, and given this law hasn't been tested, I have to defer to the knowledge of the most credible people talking about the legal ramifications of C-16 and that is not Peterson.

I find that a lot of what he has to say is not only reasonable but practical. It doesn't seem like he says anything that's off the wall or ridiculous. Seems to take an honest look at a situation and proceeds to analyze it rationally.

Not much of it, especially the practical advice for getting your act together, is particularly new. Although he does a good job of saying it succinctly.

In most of his personality lectures he is actively bringing in elements of philosophy as well. Off the top of my head I can remember him distinctly making a 2 hour lecture on Nietzsche and another on Kierkegaard

Agreed. Anyone who goes up against the retarded faculty at these universities, not to mention his own PC government, is at least actually doing something about this.

The claim that he doesn't know anything about philosophy is false, he actively attempts to implement philosophy into his psychology lectures.

Let me lay it out for you, the problem du jour is nihilism. Roughly speaking, nihilistic thought is predicated on the fact that nothing has absolute value. It is an extension of a number of sub currents in western philosophy, including Hume's is-ought fork, Darwin's natural selection, and the spontaneous revolutionary movements of the enlightenment which produced such secularists as Schopenhauer and Bentham.

The genuine problem with there being no absolute values, is that it denies the motivation for anything beyond basic survival at the best of times, and due of course to living in a causeless, Godless universe we must also accept that there is no reason except momentary physical discomfort, as to why someone wouldn't choose to die.

To give an early example Schopenhauer was an anti-natalist due to his nihilistic worldview.

And we're heading for more of the same, leading to probably self-inflicted extinction.
>Le Blackpill

>equates postmodernism with nihilism
>thinks postmodernism is a cohesive philosophical movement
>thinks you can "fight postmodernism," when the marxist postmodernists largely just describe of the cultural logic of late capitalism, and the non-marxists are simply trying to build an ontology from phenomenology
>knows anything about philosophy

>Heidegger was a Nazi

What did I fucking tell you? They're all the same faggots; Godless people killing each other due to their own personal assignation of worth to other people's lives.

That's the most succinct word for them; Godless

>the problem du jour is nihilism
Stopped reading there. There isn't a single major postmodernist who's a nihilist in any meaningful sense.

>Schopenhauer was an anti-natalist due to his nihilistic worldview
Or maybe because he lived an extremely shitty life and had serious depression.

You're drunk user, go home

Postmodernism, at least how I like to think about it, is a fabricated religion which is incapable of more than skepticism epistemologically, while at the same time insisting that trans rights is an objective good.

And you're right, the new atheists and other "late-capitalists" are simply hanging there hopes on science when it's open to skepticism whether or not you can derive objective values from science, or that those values are worth caring about anyway.

>Pic related is a good starting point to understand what's up with postmodernism

Jordan BTFO Peterson

youtube.com/watch?v=jLTFL2W3woU

wastes retards money on garbage

Whatever, it's all meaningless anyway, and post-modernists are only not nihilists because they refuse to engage with it honestly, not because it doesn't exist, or isn't the driving force behind just about every shit thing we've had to deal with in the past 100 years.

lurk two years before posting.
