I tried, and failed, to create a sympathetic stance with your observation here I did so by doing the metaphore. If your question is what is sector m? then it's just a name for some part of my mind that also does not work properly as a result of the internet and the things it has shown me. i tried further to explain herealthough I called it sector x. The KRG has continued to be untrustworthy. There's been an extremist militia formed that employs former Islamic State troops and have attacked Iraqi military positions. The KRG has also continuously refused to recede back to the pre-2014 territorial levels. The ISF is right in doing what needs to be done, especially if it has to be done violently. Given the weak fighting nature of the Kurds, don't expect much of a resistance on the part of the Peshmerga.

>UNSC discussing Jerusalem resolution, US plans to veto
The UN Security Council is discussing an Egyptian-drafted resolution that would require the US to rescind its declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, AP reports. The US is certain to veto the resolution, which names no country, but expresses“deep regret at recent decisions concerning the status of Jerusalem.”It also stresses that“Jerusalem is a final status issue to be resolved through negotiations.”The draft resolution affirms that“any decisions and actions which purport to have altered the character, status or demographic composition”of Jerusalem“have no legal effect, are null and void and must be rescinded.”

>Hundreds of migrants camping along Serbia’s EU border – officials
Several hundred migrants are camping along Serbia’s borders, sleeping rough in makeshift shelters in harsh winter weather, AP reports. Aid groups distributed food and warm drinks in an abandoned factory near Croatia’s border, as migrants are looking for a chance to cross into neighboring EU countries. Officials and aid groups say that some 300-400 migrants have been staying out in the open while an additional 4,000 are in asylum camps in Serbia. Thousands have been stranded in Serbia since “the Balkan migrant route” was closed down in March 2016 to stem the flow into the EU. Many migrants try to cross the borders illegally with the help of smugglers.

>Tehran reopens all border posts with Iraqi Kurdistan
Iran has reopened all its border crossings with Iraq’s autonomous Kurdish region, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Monday. Bahram Ghassemi said the two frontier crossings of Haji Omran and Parwezkhan had been reopened, without giving a specific date, after the Bashmaq frontier post began working again in October, AFP reported. Iran closed the border crossings after Iraqi Kurds on September 25 voted overwhelmingly in favor of independence at a referendum Baghdad insisted was illegal. Tehran and Ankara, which have Kurdish communities of their own, were also against the poll.

Iraq will use drones to protect pipelines – ministry
Iraq plans to use drones to monitor and protect its export and production pipelines in the first quarter of 2018, its Oil Ministry said on Monday. Security companies will be considered that can supply Iraq with drones and sophisticated camera systems to guard its pipelines, Reuters quoted spokesman Asim Jihad as saying. Oil Minister Jabar al-Luaibi will also visit Algeria in mid-January, where state-run Sonatrach is interested in investing in Iraq’s energy sector, according the spokesman.

>Saudi King Salman, CIA chief Pompeo meet in Riyadh
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has met with Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Mike Pompeo in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The two men discussed bilateral relations and regional developments on Monday, according to the official Saudi Press Agency. Earlier this month, Pompeo said he’d sent a letter to Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite fighting Quds Force, warning him that the US would hold Tehran accountable for any attacks it conducted on American interests in Iraq, AP reports. Iran and Saudi Arabia are regional foes.

>Tehran wants to examine Yemen missile parts displayed by US envoy Haley
Iran wants to examine missile parts the US ambassador to the UN displayed last week as “undeniable” evidence that Tehran has been arming Yemen’s Shiite rebels, AP said. Tehran will file a complaint to the UN and demand that“parts of the missile be delivered to Iran”for examination, according to Defense Minister Gen. Amir Hatami. He told the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Monday that US claims cannot be “answered remotely.” On Thursday, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley showed off the missile parts to cameras at a military base near Washington. She said the projectile was supplied by Iran and launched by Yemen’s Houthis, targeting an airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The statement was dismissed by Iran as a “fake and fabricated” claim.

>ISIS claims responsibility for attack on Kabul spy training center
Gunmen stormed an intelligence agency training facility in Kabul on Monday morning, triggering intense fighting with police in the latest Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) attack to hit the Afghan capital. A group of armed attackers entered an under-construction building in the National Directorate of Security training center in the Afshar area of Kabul, the Interior Ministry said. The security forces launched an operation to combat the militants. IS claimed responsibility for the attack through its propaganda arm, AFP reported.“Two IS attackers raid[ed] the Afghan intelligence center in Kabul,”the jihadist-affiliated Amaq outlet said.

>Kremlin sees CIA terrorism plot tipoff as ‘example of cooperation’
The CIA’s information handover to Russia about preparations for a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg is the perfect example of US-Russian cooperation in the struggle against terrorism, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.“Certain contacts between the two countries’ special services are sporadic, but in this particular case it was a very useful piece of information that helped save many lives,”TASS quoted him as saying.“This is precisely the kind of standards worth pursuing in our future course,”he said. On Sunday, the Russian and US presidents spoke by phone, and Vladimir PutinthankedDonald Trump for the data provided by the CIA.

>Arab ambassadors ask India to clarify position on US Jerusalem move
A dozen Arab ambassadors have asked India to clarify its position on the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, diplomatic sources said. New Delhi’s muted response suggests a shift in support for the Palestinian cause, Reuters reported. The Indian Foreign Ministry said earlier that its position was consistent and independent of any third party. The statement made no reference to Jerusalem and prompted criticism at home that it was insufficient, vague and anti-Palestinian.

Israeli airstrikes target Hamas compound in Gaza after new rocket attacks
The Israeli military says it has carried out airstrikes in the Gaza Strip after new rocket attacks from the Palestinian territory, AP reports. The airstrikes overnight targeted a Hamas training compound in northern Gaza, the military said on Monday. Three buildings and other infrastructure were hit, it added. Gaza militants have stepped up rocket fire on Israel since US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on December 6.

>Security stepped up in Pakistan after ISIS targets church, kills 9
Security forces were on high alert across Pakistan on Monday, following a suicide attack by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) that targeted a church and killed nine people, AP reports. The assault on Sunday in Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan province, also wounded up to 60 worshippers, officials said. It was the firstattackon a church claimed by the IS affiliate in Pakistan. Around 400 worshippers were attending the service when two bombers carrying assault rifles stormed the church. In an ensuing gun battle, one assailant was killed by police guards. The other reportedly opened fire at worshippers and detonated his explosives vest.

> Only thing I will accept is peaceful cooperation of independent and sovereign nations I'm sorry but that is an incredibly idealistic and naive opinion. No matter what flags will remain after the storm, they will all take lead of the most powerful among them. It's sort of poetic in a way, is it not? Just as we humans form around societies form around round strong rulers, those same societies will form around the most influential nation.

>US vetoes resolution on Trump's Jerusalem decision The United States has vetoed a UN S Council draft resolution rejecting the recent recognition by Trump of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and his plans to move the US embassy to the city.
The US veto on Monday was widely expected.
"What is troublesome to some people […] is that the United States had the courage and honesty to recognise a fundamental reality," Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN, said.
"Jerusalem has been the political, cultural, and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people for thousands of years – they have had no other capital city," vot about tel aviv?
"The US has the sovereignty to determine where and whether we establish an embassy," said Haley, describing the vote as an "insult" that "won't be forgotten".
Along with the UK, France, Russia, and China, the US is a permanent member of the UN Sec Council, with the power to block any resolution from passing with the use of a veto.
Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, said: "It is paradoxical that while we were waiting for a peace plan from the US, the administration instead decided to further obstruct peace and delay its realisation."
"The US decision encourages Israel to persist in its crimes against the Palestinian people and to continue its occupation of our territory. No rhetoric will hide this complacency in prolonging the occupation," said Mansour.
Draft Resolution The Egyptian-drafted text reiterated the UN position on Jerusalem, affirming "that any decisions and actions which purport to have altered, the character, status or demographic composition of the Holy City of Jerusalem have no legal effect, are null and void and must be rescinded in compliance with relevant resolutions of the Security Council".
In an effort to keep the US from exercising its veto power, the text did not mention the United States by name, saying instead it "deeply regrets recent decisions regarding the status of Jerusalem".
Oliver Moore
Just because there's one ''theologically lax'' Pope doesn't mean that the Catholic Church is cucked. Besides the (((MSM))) claiming that Francis is a Liberal and ''one of them'', the only thing that really violates Church doctrine is him letting Divorcees who re-married take the Eucharist. In a two thousand years, you're bound to have a few scrambled eggs, and a few more small ones, no?

while as your option of nowirrelevant ex-british naval base to become european overlord is somehow realistic. OK kid. It was the popes themselves who enabled protestantism. People were fed up with the greed of the church, and instead of doing something about it, pope and the bishops were so drunk with power they instead tried to silence or even execute the most vocal critics
