You want to make a manga don't you? You have that idea, what is holding you back?

I'm already too entrenched in photoshop.

Why is it best?

Can't afford it and even if I could I'm more comfortable with pencil or ink on paper.
Nothing's holding me back. Just have to finish writing this plot.

>best
>not SAI

Why should I switch to it over just using comicStudio? I assume it has better painting tools + animation tools, but comicstudio seems like it's pretty much as good as it gets as far as just linework tools.

Easy to use, specialized to a greater degree to drawing than at least photoshop.

>buying software

SHILL DETECTED

Already bought it.

I don't know- I've been writing my comic for a while now, I haven't been able to put down any rough sketches- I kept making title cards but I keep starting over from scratch.

I suppose I just don't feel my work is up to par yet.

Because I can't draw for shit.
An artist can have the most expensive tablet on the market and the best creative suite available; it's all meaningless if like me he's utterly cack-handed.

Well, practice then.

Bah, no time.

You're not going to ever make anything if you're sitting around """"writing"""" your comic and not drawing/publishing it. Your best bet is to make something as a sacrificial lamb project for you to make why you figure out how to draw/write (because you probably can't do that for shit). If you're only motivated to make that 1 thing and don't want it to be bad, so tough shit. You're going to have other, better ideas. Better to just accept it now and push forward regardless.

My dick is a pencil, my semen is ink and my hand a canvas.

You mean OpenCanvas [6]?

This one looks unstable and like it crashes all the time. Do you use it regularly?

>You want to make a manga don't you? You have that idea, what is holding you back?
Because i cant draw for shit. I have some really great stories, but not being able to draw is a major setback. So i used my ideas to write some novellas. Maybe some day i will be good enough to make a manga.

Also, I do like drawing by hand, because i cant into computers and i refuse to pay money for things i can pirate.

>You want to make a manga don't you? You have that idea, what is holding you back?

There has never been a single gaijin that made a manga and got it in a popular magazine and made a shitty living off it. So what's the fucking point lol

So you are a nigger?

This. The Japanese are successful at this shit because people leave them alone - everywhere else in the world sensible parents will encourage their children to do something that, in their eyes, will actually make money and have job security until retirement age, whatever.
So unless you're both a NEET and people leave you the fuck alone, or you have a job and no friends then good luck.

Lack of money, time, commitment and talent, among other things.

Well fuck you guys I'm autistic enough to do it.

But user, I already own it.

>opencanvas
>not free and open source software
What?

Elevens won't buy a manga made by an ugly gaijin.

what happened to SAI?

I use SAI and Medibang with Photoshop for final touches. A lot of friends really recommend Clip Studio though, but I'm too lazy to even pirate it.

I'd argue with you, but god, SAI loads up so fast, everything else feels like a goddamn slug.

i tried to install sai once and it wanted to scan my entire hard drive for some reason, i don't appreciate this

...

CSP is pretty much mashing a bit of Photoshop, SAI and maybe Illustrator together. What actually impresses me most of CSP is how it manipulates vectors, even if I am not going to use them

Because I own SAI and all I can do with it is make doodles of cute girls.

SAI is shit compared to CSP

Just use paper lol.

this tbhonestly
this digital fad will die soon enough

Because SAI exists.

I only use photoshop, does CSP has the manga filters? is it easy? where can I pirate it?

Using CSP for drawing and painting is like sex compared to PS. The drawing engine is much more efficient and faster, it has easy to use perspective guides and common fill patterns, watercolor brushes actually work like you'd imagine them and blending colors is easy and intuitive. The perspective guides alone make it worth it for me.

Don't know if it's still the case but you can download and use it freely on their website account. You just can't load and save things.
That's what I did first and eventually bought the software for 14$ something.

Also, why use CSP when there already exists an application that respects my freedom?

Post a single example of manga you've made.

>japanese
>software
>best anything
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

which program has the manga filters or more likely is there a site where I can save them? i only use photoshop

What manga filters? Like these?

yeah

That's Clip Studio Paint then. I took that pic right from its features page.

Godamn, that's just cheating.

is it easy to use?

I'd say so if you're already familiar with Photoshop and willing to learn to use it. The tools interface is just different to PS and reminded me a little of SAI's, not difficult though. Most keyboard shortcuts can be configured to be the same, too.

So you seriously think that Japanese parents jump of joy when one of their kids tell them they want to be a mangaka and support them?
Are you fucking stupid?

have you not read about mangakas having to hide their project to their folks because of how much they are against it?

ONE is a good example how his parents were against him drawing manga.

>tfw can literally just go outside into the nature in my home country, take a bunch of photos and filter them into manga backgrounds

I'm going to be the next Asano Inio

No one ever got rich off of drawing. Dont do it.
Theres millions of dirt poor people better than you at it having been drawing from age of 5, dont bother.

>can't even crosslink right

>>>/reddit/

The thread should've ended at this post.

Fucking Inuyashiki does this. They filter everything and draw characters on top of it. It's pretty good regardless.

Amongst other thousand examples.
No matter where you go, no parent is happy to hear their children are going to enter a work field that has ungodly work schedules with a popularity-based pay that 99.999% of the cases will be barely enough to afford living expenses.
Being a mangaka is shit.

Remember to buy my doujinshi.

WHAT THE FUCK

EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE

I HATE MANGA NOW

>what is holding you back?
The fact that I can't draw for shit.

this is a odd random response user.

>record painting process
>set speed x4
>call it speed paint

The fact i'm not in japan or japanese and manga industry is extremely racist.
The fact westerners prefer colored comics making CSP strong point completely moot.
The fact getting into a western comic magazine is extremely hard due to how much of a circlejerk it is.
The fact it's more profitable to draw furry porn than to be serialized.

I don't , and I did it for 4 years now .

Ironically you are right about everything. This is also why we have the internet now so you can do webcomics and get rich.

No he isn't right about anything:

>The fact i'm not in japan or japanese and manga industry is extremely racist.

Not true, there's a handful of westerns that published manga.

>The fact westerners prefer colored comics making CSP strong point completely moot.

You can color in CSP or just do lineart in CSP and then color in photoshop. So this is a silly argument.

>The fact getting into a western comic magazine is extremely hard due to how much of a circlejerk it is.

No it's not, you're obvious getting all your ideas from Sup Forums because you don't know what the fuck your're talking about you baka.

Go to conventions, be nice, be decent, make a site, make a twitter, be nice, make a webcomic, be nice.

do furry thing is true though.

My dreams are dead and so should yours

You mean they don't draw it fast like that?

>On sale
>$25.00

If you live in Burgerland you could get it physically for $21.00 w/ free shipping for a while now

That being said, CSP is pretty snazzy with all the user-generated brushes. It runs fairly smoothly and the layout is fairly close to SAI so there isn't that steep of a learning curve.

SAI is still my go to drawing program though, if only because I can stick it on a flash drive and load it up where ever I want.

I knew a guy that knew a guy that drew so fast his arms fell off.

Never gonna make it

My lack of drawing skills.

>I have some really great stories
No you don't.

>draw head
>draw entire body
>delete head and redraw it
>delete entire body and redraw it
I thought I was the only faggot who did this

>You can color in CSP or just do lineart in CSP and then color in photoshop. So this is a silly argument.

Why? Photoshop alone is perfectly fine.

I'm a NEET, a hikki, and have no friends. I think I will make this my goal in life.

I will go with krita

What does it have that Photoshop can't do?

>blatant advertising thread up for more than 8 hours
Truly devilish.

Post a drawing of yours. Doesn't matter how bad you think it is, lets see them.

probably it crashes more

Animation shit built in

No user I just cured my drawing addiction.

I fell for this meme, a previous time it went on sale. But all the tutorials I see are for SAI, whereas CSP barely has any and all of them are shit.

Bought it a long time ago on a sale, still can't draw, wasn't worth it.

>thinking tutorials will make you good artist

Krita is better and free.

Some people even thought I plagiarised from a few manga.

If you're going by " what Photoshop can't do" then not much. Photoshop can do pretty much everything CSP can but CSP is optimized for comic production and illustrations. The painting engine is way faster, perspective guides are easy to set up, speech bubbles and frame borders are easy to place, you can set up your project with pages instead of individual files, pen pressure profiles can be set for individual brushes, it has built-in stabilization, etc. Just many small things it does better than PS that add up to a better experience if you use it what it's meant for.

>needing tutorials to use drawing software

I've had it for over a year and never used it. Is there a guide or anything that will teach me about it? It took ages for me to learn photoshop and I still don't know how to do everything on it.

The faces need worked. Are you copying Bleach?

Can you explain how Krita is better than CSP?

I forgot about that guy
