I'm not really talking about the calculation problem insofar as price-fixing is concerned (although I remain skeptical of Cockshott's "solution") I'm more interested in how different corporations are created and established.
In order for the corporatist system to work, the government has to be able to consider the conditions of all classes and come to the most mutually beneficial solution, in every field.
In order to do this, Fascist Italy created 12 corporations comprising the key industries. The boards on top of them set wages, regulations, working hours, etc. Of course they were massively corrupt, but that was another matter.
The only problem is that there are many more than 12 key industries in most modern economies. And simplifying everything into 12 large "corporations" runs the risk of massive overgeneralization on the part of the chief regulating committees, even if they are not even slightly corrupt.
Having enough separate boards to set enough regulations to govern the conditions of every occupation in every industry seems massively unworkable.
