It's still common courtesy to not make a new thread before the old one has been archived, because the catalog exists. You don't need a thread that always bumps in order to have discussion, and it's a good idea to be kind enough to everyone else who's using the board and not spam it with threads about one thing. There is a huge difference between "generals" and "condensed threads".

That's pretty much my headcanon. The Sandsta is some kind of automated system to create and care for Friends. Some surviving human stumbled upon the island and was converted into a friend due to there being no humans any more since the park was abandoned and placed in the logical habitat for Homo sapiens: The Savanna.

Some of Mine Yoshizaki's doujin work involved drawing random videogame mascots as girls. After becoming a professional manga artist, he drew the Angel XX collection (Eva's angels as girls) and Otomedius.
Even recently, on his twitter, he also has drawn random stuff like Majora's Mask as a girl and Shin Godzilla as a girl (this last one specifically in Kemono Friends' style).
It was actually kind of weird that he avoided that all along with Keroro (and it still hasn't happened in the manga proper) considering many of his other workds and how many chapters of the Keroro manga involved transformation abilities or weapons.

If anything, unpopular series tend to have a lot more porn than safe images. The imouto from One Room for example, her pixiv tag has 4 images, and 2 of them are lewd (tiny sample set I know, but it's still 50% of the total).
Compare that to Kemono Friends where only about 5% of the total images is NSFW, now that's a huge sign that it went mainstream. The fact that sorting images related to the series by popularity results in so much porn only proves that a great part of the people who like it also like porn of it.

I wouldn't say it's 5% anymore. When it first started getting popular there were barely any NSFW Kemono Friends images. Now you've got established hentai artists pumping out lewds left and right because they know it'll sell. They do the same thing to any series that gets popular.
I fully expect there to be an open ending where Serval and Kaban continue their adventures somehow. I wouldn't be pissed at all by that. If they didn't leave it open I would be worried about how season 2 would work.
