ITT post your country's greatest landmark in terms of architecture

Just post the building you believe has the greatest architecture in your country. One building.

No skyscrapers
No modern architecture or postmodernism
No interior, only exterior

Other than that post any building.

My country: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Mt. Rushmore UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

B U I L D I N G
I said building. Not a statue monument. What you posted will pass for art. Not a building. It has no architecture.

How about something like St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC?

Highly debatable, but I think it is the Colón Theater in Buenos Aires.

Side view

Inside.

wew where to even start

...

Chateau Frontenac I would say is one of Canada's best

Guess

Classy

inb4 westaboo

Difficult to pick one but I have strong attachment to this one because of the little details that cant be shown here.

The absolute state of America.

But yeah it is modern architecture trash.

How about the Capitol?

Neo classical is always pleasing and the states have lots.

...

idk are these buildings still around

I heard you like little details

...

...

...

Similar pieces to this building in my city.

Maybe this?

HNNNGGGGG fuck

This is inside.
I think my favourite Western building however is that French Mansion palace that inspired Anor Londo.

You know that crazy one.

No way buddy

As for the best building, I’d actually go with the Iowa capitol building. There are a lot of similarly nice buldings so it’s kind of a toss up.

probably st. sava's temple.

Technically it is a building, there is a room behind Washington's head.

The National Post Office, Washington DC,
The finest American Architecture comes from the finest capital in the world.

This I guess

Shrine of the Emaculate Conception
Also DC

Ugh... The shame...

looked better before it was ((((modernised))))

Similar one in Brooklyn.

...

One of the many, this one is made out of granite

...

A fairly recent one

...

...

...

...

Probably this.

...

...

Texas capitol building

Probably the Palace of Westminster

or maybe Westminster Abbey

The examples here are numerous, although nowadays surrounded by heinous buildings.

I put one of the city where I live, and where I finished my studies.

Why not post native architecture, user?

Does brutal-ism count as modern?

If not then pic related it's some cum-inducingly awesome architecture from 1970s Britain.

Lincoln Cathedral has always been one of my favourites.

air force academy for the greatest air force in the world by far

Or if Brutalism is not your bag, how about the 3 Graces on the UK's most beautiful urban waterfront view?

The Biltmore

Hey faggot, did you forget your on Sup Forums.
Pic related.

a marvellous building

Probably the Parliament Building.

...

...

...

...

this is the pinnacle of design. its design is timeless, note how even if the business flops, you'll always know that building was once a pizza hut

Wow, that's beautiful.

The U.S. capitol is aesthetic.

...

Come on, dude. Your country has shit like the Alhambra and El Escorial, and you're gonna post that ugly mess of a church.

...

...

There's a used car lot in my hometown that was a Pizza Hut.

First time I see the capitol from that POW. It really has a Roman Empire feeling to it.

thank you for this glimpse inside of the Argentinian colon, it can hold about as many men as I figured it would

difficult to pick one from germany. Its quality architecture is very decentralized. I'm not aware of any one building to show its native architecture off.

this is probably ok but it's not really very german. Just baroque/classicist

meant for

We have a lot of natural beauty but definitely lacking in this regard.
Little jealous desu

It's hard to chose though.
The chain bridge is an icon for every Hungarian in Hungary.
The Parliament is a unique architectural masterpiece, and it's the icon for the entire country.
But for tourists, the most iconic building is the Castle district with the Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church and the Royal Palace.

It pains me to know Melbourne is occupied by SJW trash whilst home to some remarkable architecture.

Yeah that other building you posted doesn't look that great but this one does.

...

tfw your ancestors were nomads , so there are no architechture achievements, except one god-damn Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.

well , will be hard to choose one

based neo-serbo-byzantine style, a shame our government is cucked and not promoting it anymore

Brutalism is cancer and you have objectively shit taste.

It's a shame the United States just magically stopped making monuments and architecture.
Pic related is Mount Vernon, home of George Washington

Feel kinda envious.

...

What about this in Quebec?

Eiffel Tower or Versailles.

How will europoors and mutts compete?
Even our buildings get enriched.

I know they guy that started those. He sold out and biz partner went to prison. He has like 300 real estate deals in our county on tax records website. Pretty cool dude honestly.

Did they apologise for designing the roof to be a health hazard?

Nah, more likely the Parliament Building or that brutalist tower in Belgrade.
White House is more iconic

This one's okay

...

We have been building these quaint cities for the liberal commies all over our country. Can't wait but I don't hijinks they will be staying their long.

...

What about Hazrat Sultan Mosque and Karaganda Mosque? You have some nice buildings in your country, user.

when was this bulit?

Leaning tower of Pisa is more iconic, thanks to Hollywood.
Nah, the Parliament building is the first thing I think of, when it comes to the architecture of Canada (excluding the CN tower).
The Parliament is more iconic.

Thread's over faggots, Australia will lead the world in architecture and structural engineering for the foreseeable future.

Eiffel tower = modern architecture.
So please non of that metal junk.
