What happens here besides gambling?

What happens here besides gambling?

As a Texan, it's pretty much a meme here to talk shit about Oklahoma, but I've never actually been there. Many people I've met from there seem to be trash, but I've seen some people post here saying that it's like Texas but white. What's the verdict Sup Forums?

it's more conservative than Texas by far.

>like Texas but white
>implying Oklahomans don't have timber nigger DNA after Andrew Jackson deported them there

I'm looking for possible places to settle down once we're completely overrun by democrat beaners, so this is great news

It's basically an extension of Texas. It was designed as a containment zone for natives, so you have that...and a lot of tornadoes and emptiness.

you dumb texan

Less liberal, not super white depending on your definition of 1/45 cherokee types but all the Indians don't like mexicans and blacks and seem more integrated than the full-fledged rez ones elsewhere. Weak beer but who gives a shit (we actually got rid of the weak beer, and I'll miss having tasty 4% beer). Weaker economy than Texas.

It's pretty much a meme to talk shit about Texas in Oklahoma. Lots of "natives" but half of those are white by breeding. We've got Toby Keith and Blake Shelton. People are pretty nice. Our football teams are better than your gay texas schools

See that red "other"? That's our teepee-Americans who don't like having their jobs stolen by Mexicans.

dammit I'm retarded.

I forgot all about those "natives" who are 1/32 cherokee but are still vocal card-carrying Andrew Jackson-hating members of the Cherokee Nation. We definitely have some of those here but I can only imagine it would be far more widespread closer to the reservations.

I live in Tulsa. It is what it is. About 75% white. Most people claiming to be native are dumb as shit and white as fuck. Pretty good economy.

it's exactly what hank hill thinks of oklahoma. You know the episode where the trashy hooker becomes friends with Peggy and Hank defends her from her pimp?

That's exactly what it's like. I've been through there a few times and I'm not sure if there's a worse state than Oklahoma. There's a reason the federal government picked that land to corral all the native americans onto. It sucks.

t. Missourian

They're Republican because they hate Andrew Jackson

Literally nothing. Best avoided.

If you drive through Moore, there's a giant sign that says, "Moore, Home of Toby Keith".

That should pretty much tell you everything you need to know about Oklahoma.

Yeah no joke. We are in serious trouble next vote. I fear for my State quite often especially lately.

Obama didn't metaphorically destroy our country. Our security no longer exists here, and if we want security then we are racist xenophobic bigots.

I grew up in Oklahoma. The public school system is absolute shit and we're hella impoverished. But, there is a lot of God-fearing, decent people here. Would really stay away from the big cities though. Although I think cities suck regardless of location

Flat. Oklahoma City is a messy sprawl. There's a McDonald's built over the main east-west highway.

got some family in a military town there. lots of army nogs and white trash

You aren't wrong, the cities are shit.

Do you like Purcell?

oklahoma has had all counties red in the last 4 presidential elections

it has a higher murder rate than you'd expect based on its demographics. It seems to have a disproportionate share of lurid crime stories with black perps and white victims, like that Australian baseball player who was shot in the back, or that couple in their 90's that was raped and murdered by a wild dindu robber.

Never thought it was a bad place, but I've only drove through there. I know a musician, Parker Millsap has somewhat made a name for himself as a musician. Cool that he's from Purcell actually. I dig his music

yup, one icelandic dude was killed few years ago by a nigger at a gas station in Tulsa.

Duncan's Construction

Oil production in the STACK and SCOOP.
I'm not a native Oklahoman, but I do like the areas west of OKC.
On Cue is the bomb. I love pulling into a gas station with 30 pumps and a drive thru.
I also like Braums.
OK is a nice place to work.

As I expected, pretty much a mixed bag of opinions so far. Small towns sound like a good option even more so than in Texas. We're having huge expansion around DFW, I'd go so far as to call it a small real-estate bubble, and it only seems to be expanding into the smaller towns around here. They're pretty much turning them into larger cities with more nogs and beans due to a heavy focus on multi-family units over traditional housing.

Tulsa here,

Tulsa is the most liberal place in Oklahoma, yet were still lock our doors every time we see a black. also google Tulsa race riots. there is a reason they dont start shit here.

The fuck did you say about Toby?

He didn't say anything about Toby other than tell you where he was born.

The main point was how Oklahoma and it's citizen's recognize Toby Keith after becoming a famous singer.

They are getting bold recently but less so than other parts in the country.
I was with some commie buddies walking downtown Tulsa. A black man asked for a lighter for his cig and they thought they were going to be mugged but not 5 minutes later I'm a racist because I hate violent spics

>The public school system is absolute shit

This is basically everywhere in the country now. Homeschooling is basically required, especially if you have sons (they will be brain-damaged by the forced physical inactivity).

Republicans have super majorities in both chambers and the gov.
Screwed up regular session.
Screwed up 1st special session.
2nd special session now, still no budget.
Only state in the country with this level of autism in office.

Okc poster.

>when you live in a city with a 22,3 homicide rate
Still the country is about 7,0 not bad, better than the Deep South.

>be okie.
>everyone in my town of one thousand does drugs.
>12 yo's fucking adults and doing drugs.
>police sell meth for spics.
>go to jail for smoking marijuana and they don't like you.
Yeah fuck that place I'll never go back. If you're on meth I'd imagine it's a living Shangri la.

I go there a lot to camp and hike. Pretty nice state parks and wildlife up there. Nice roads too. Only an hour away from me so hard to pass up.

its an extension of north Dallas suburbs + casinos

all the houses look the same

they have all the same foods and stores like taco bueno and braums

biggest difference is they get rekt by tornados all the time

explosions

That poor patsy never had a chance.

Wow, it honestly fills my heart with pride to know some random user in Iceland is aware of my state's reputation.

If you every make it to the plains here Bjorn, drinks are on me.

Fast food is pleb tier wherever you go. Drive down to Oolagah and talk to a rancher and buy a cow. Pay less for steak than most people do for hamburger and give up ever ordering beef at a restaurant because it all tastes like shit compared to the stuff you have in your freezer.

Shit, go north of 51st and tell me that.

...

Used to be the world's largest now it's kinda sad.

Native Texan, but now living far away.

Oklahoma will always suck and I would kill for some Taco Bueno right now.

Lived here 36 years user. I've traveled but I haven't lived anywhere else.
I guess it's like most anywhere else, except conservative as fuck.
I live outside the okc metro, little suburb, schools are good, homes are decent and affordable. Pretty fucking segregated, especially Tulsa, so that's nice.
I'd say pretty much middle of the road, nothing special, good place for family.

Fuck off, we don't want you.

Oklahoma is flat. Full of weak beer. Pear Shaped women and tornados. Awful fucking place.

kek, my dad was friends with toby

fuck country music tho

i live in tulsa its really nice. I really stick to the normal people towns here like tulsa okc stillwater and norman. you have all kinds of people here and lots of country people with oil money. All the other places not listed suck and i stay away from them

look into jenks south tulsa midtown tulsa area. very nice when it comes to housing you have great value for what you pay for
