I was on the academic team (nerdy fucking quiz bowl, it was the greatest) when I went to Oologah. I remember playing HH in tournaments and beating those rich faggots 9/10. Oklahoma isn't really part of any greater region, we didn't have a side in the civil war (as territory, many had family that went to both sides), and I find us to be more generally "western". If anything, we are closest to Texas, as much as either state would hate to admit it.
North was pretty hood rat when we used to go there for football camps. Memorial & Santa Fe were the nicer ones if I remember.

At this moment, Broken Arrow, Owasso, and maybe Edmond are the good schools in this state. Especially the first two. They are heavy majority white, since they are the only school in a massive amount of country, meaning that all the rich white families are sending their kids there.

You would be correct. Broken Arrow and Owasso are massive in comparison to most high schools in the state. You would think they were college Campus' by their size, but that doesn't speak anything when you see just how much money they have, their high test scores, and incredible extra curricular sections such as sports and music.

As nice as everyone is and how fun it can be, I wouldn't ever want to move back. I only have a couple friends there now that I don't talk to very much and I would go to some OSU games, but not much else would bring me back. I really hate how hot it got. I used to go on a lot of summer trips to places like alaska, so I developed a taste for summer under 80. I do miss legit thunderstorms though.
I don't have a choice. I got a job with AEP which is based in downtown Tulsa.
Okay but seriously it's very good. Cheap living, very good gas prices, and MOST parts of it are really nice. Very good for those who want to start a family.

Our culture, while deep and rich, has always had a lot of replacement culture to deal with. Most of our western sort of culture has gone the way of kitsch tourism stuff or relegated to rural life.

There is, a bunch of us in HS would drive out to a bunch throughout the NE part of the state. We would go out at night because we were being idiot ghost hunters. Our group were jocks and popular, not a single emo kid, oddly enough. There's a cool burnt out school building from the 40s/50s in Okmulgee that we went and got spooped at a couple times. There's also the hornet ghost light up near the border with Missouri.
Reminder that we now have a huge tower in the middle of downtown OKC. Devon Tower that would be. Technically our only sky scraper but for returning or former Oklahomans, it's rather new, only being here in the past 6 years or so if I remember.
