Behold my ideal strategy to exterminate the Foreign "Syrians" of America: 1. Assaulting HTS is way easier politically than assaulting FSA outright, as there are currently international law constraints against attacking Idlibistan areas under US ("representing FSA") political protection too harshly and causing civilian casualties 2. Trump has renounced these restrictions in regards to HTS/ISIS. 3. HTS controls almost the entire national highway from Damascus through Idlib into Turkey. This combines with the political ease of slaughtering Salafi terrorists presents an ideal target, which can then be used to lift the siege on Foua, and then seize most of the border with Turkey. 4. After this, just like, conquer everything left of Idlibistan. It's a sitting duck, and it shouldn't be too hard to block Turkish expansion southward like the SAA did in al-Bab despite the deescalation restrictions.

>Units of our armed forces in cooperation with the allied forces regain control of a number of towns and hills, the most important of which is the plains of the cave, which contains the chicken hill in the suburb of Hama in the north-east, and eliminates a large number of terrorists of the Front Nasra and destroy their weapons and equipment, including armored vehicles and guns, The engineering units are combing the liberated areas and removing the mines left behind by the terrorists.
Apologies for jumping the gun , thought the Iranian protest might be similar to the colour revolutions but apparently it does not appear as so as of yet.

That would be a bit hard to re-supply seeing as no major roads will be re-taken. You're going to have the supply convoys going through the middle of nowhere. Besides the Area is very Mountainous and densely forested. Trucks will have a hard time getting through.

The funny thing is, religious hardliners organized the protests in Mashhad(religious city) against Rouhani and his deputy because he wanted to tax link related. >en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astan_Quds_Razavi But when angry people came slogans and chants changed to anti-islamic republic and anti-khamenei things.

Warning!
Donald Trump is going to lock up several thousand government officials very soon.
General Mattis just returned from Gitmo, where already several people are held up (including some who were just locked up and flown in from Toronto).
Several high level politicians will be tried via mitary tribunals. Military will be used to suppress and prevent any form of uprising from happening.
Trump will make peace with the world, and will create a peace deal for the middle east (Tillerson told Lavrov this, you can find it with a google search).
This deal will be for the rest of his term, which is about 7 years.
Once Trump secures his re-election, that is when hell breaks loose. He will break the peace by attacking Israel. Trump will then threaten to destroy any nation who goes against him.
Trump will then make a presidential address where he will state that he is God.

Updated map: 1. Fixed a few minor Autisms with the lead-up the Second Battle of Aleppo
It follows most major highway between Hama and Idlib.
There's no forest, but maybe mountains. It's a highway, after all.
The Foreign States' Army cannot launch such offensives. In fact, this strategy includes a pincer maneuver in which the southern Ahrar al-Sham pocket in Idlibstan is seized after the SAA advances westward. Furthermore, several cities and towns will need to be taken, and these will be okay.
That said, the deescalation is not entirely one-sided despite the fact the SAA is more inclined to abide by it--the USA delegated enforcement of it to Russia, so Syria has only political, not military tolls, whereas the "FSA" has far more brutal military tolls if they don't follow it. Deescalation predominantly affects urban combat as well, so the SAA should have an easier time seizing the more populated HTS territories and then keeping them--while the FSA will likely have to devote resources to fending off ISIS and HTS forces. Expect a few "commander assassinations" to help Syria to plow through.
Also revised map.

>French ‘jihadist commander’ captured in Syria
8 French jihadists, including a Muslim convert suspected of involvement in the 2015 Paris attacks, have been captured in Syria by Kurdish fighters.
Thomas Barnouin, 36, described as a "jihadist commander”, was detained near the Iraqi border earlier this month with two other French converts named as Romain Garnier, 33, and Thomas Collange. They were among a group of eight suspected jihadists from France, French radio reported.
>Barnouin, who converted to Islam in 2000 and is also known as Abdelhakim, left France for Syria in 2014 after serving a five-year prison sentence for terrorist offences.
He has been linked with Mohamed Merah, who killed seven people including three Jewish children in a shooting spree in the south of France in 2012. He was also close to Fabien Clain, another convert who announced that Isil carried out the Paris attacks, killing 130 people in November 2015, police sources said.
About 1,700 French nationals joined Isil forces in Syria or Iraq, 278 of whom have been killed, according to the French government. Another 302 have returned to France, where most are in custody.
