Property is expensive.

It'll be a while before I can afford a deposit.

Natural progression of capitalism.

Previous stage was people being able to afford a house. Now we are at the stage where people can't afford a house, so they live with their parents. Next stage is multiple people sharing a house. The final stage is corporations integrating living and working spaces.

y should a family want 2 separate themselves from itself? unless its a need(like for work or edu), u have no excuse 2 do it

I rent a shitty apartment.
If my parents weren't this clingy and didn't treat me like a toddler I probably would've stayed there because price points for halfway decent houses are downright ridiculous, and I don't even live in a particularly expensive area.

I'm 27 and I live at home with my dad. We are pretty much best friends and I'm. Single dad though so it's not like I'm trying to impress bitches or anything.

Wanna go halvesies on a 700,000 3bd starter home in a safe neighborhood? Didn't think so

I know right
Why don't us no good millennials just kill ourselves or something?

Thank God I found a job.

Amazon is already doing this.

I don't live with parents.

Damn it feels good to be a self-supporting millennial homeowner.

Feels good leaving university debt free with a good STEM degree. American problem, no? I don't know about England but university in Scotland is free and the rent is relatively cheap which allows me to rent, save and look for a job at the same time as well as save up for a deposit.

>$800 is the lowest in the area for a 1 bedroom
>best you can do is get a 2+ bedroom with roommates to make it cheaper
>inflation, rising prices, stagnant pay
>houses expensive and getting worse
>job market is rough
>moving is expensive
Gee. I wonder why.
>here come the apologists

>25
>live with my parents
>make $68k a year
>invest $40k a year, not including retirement
>hoping to retire comfortably in my 40's

Society can shame me all they want, at least I won't be wage cucking till I'm 80

>Be 25
>Correctional Officer since 18
>Bought house last year

Save your bucks and don't do dumb shit you'll be ok.

>Be me
>27
>Buy house at 23
>Rent out
>Side income on top of jobs
>$60k annual income
>Save on average $2k a month
>$50k in last 2 years, after excessive spending on dinners etc.

>mfw born in the gray area between millennial and gen z
>mfw already have my own apartment
N O E X C U S E

A decent enough apartment where I live for just 1 bedroom is 1300 a month and you'd be lucky if it's in a safe area. It's hard enough already getting a job above Mc dicks.

Parents are old and they can't run the ranch quite as well as they used to.

Im 18 and at school you nigfag, why would I move out now? I don't need any excuses.

>live in california where studios start at $1k/mo + utilities
>yuge state income tax
>need an AA at minimum to do even clerical work around an office
>

>Natural progression of capitalism.

No. Is the state still butting into the economy? Yes. Then this is not capitalism. This is the natural progression of socialistic fiat currency expansion.

>MFW I might be a homeowner soon if the market takes a shit
Otherwise it's like 10 more years of renting lol

This makes me so happy that i have a good white girlfriend and we're looking to buy our first home. Everyone is tryomg to live this perfect social media life so they're all single or spend money on the dumbest shit.

what is wrong with living with your parents?

>No. Is the state still butting into the economy? Yes. Then this is not capitalism.
so it is not real capitalism? can you give us an example of true capitalism ?

Califaggot detected.

Move to texas, nigger

3,300 square foot completely renovated house on a nice lot in a quiet white community close to the water and near a major metropolis.

Purchased 270K four years ago, now maybe $330K.

If people want me to move out of my dad's place, they need to pay me enough to actually do it. I can't go to an apartment complex and say "well I literally don't have the money for this but society and my parents say I magically have to live alone, so give me a place please!"

I'll live like an "adult" when someone pays me enough to be an adult.

This. And this is all the fault of the government intervening in the economy, but people will still blame "capitalism" ask for more government intervention.

Staying at home until I have enough squirreled away for a small place of my own.
My family is tight and I still work my job and pull my weight.

People have been living with their family for thousands of fuckin years, nothing wrong with that.

>can you give us an example of true capitalism ?

Any place where the government isn't sticking it's dick where it doesn't belong? Anywhere?

Soon to be electrical engineer grad, job I've accepted is $72k starting salary, $5k sign-on bonus, and 100% 401k matching up to 6% of salary.

Millenials choosing over saturated fields are reaping what they sow. I know a lot of kids in liberal arts areas and the ones that succeed really push themselves and take advantage of all opportunities, the ones that fail sit back and feel like they're "owed" a job. STEM masterrace doesn't have to worry about any of this:')

If I bought property in the kind of area I could afford on the kind of income I could get for the kind of job I could get, I would still need to learn Spanish in order to read the signs. Fuck that.

I live in one of those EPIC RICH BLUE STATES where owning a home as a white non boomer is almost impossible

Well this doesn’t apply to women who can’t do stem biologically.

Of course they should be married baking cookies and raising white babies

>Any place where the government isn't sticking it's dick where it doesn't belong?
so nowhere?

>Average housing cost in my city is close to 1,000,000
Gee I fucking wonder why

This job is also in a smaller city in the Midwest. I grew up near Chicago, but fuck paying $2000 a month to live in a shed. This is why I think a lot of millenials still stay with their parents, property value in major cities where their liberal arts degrees are more useful is absurd

As much as you all want baby boomers to all die, once they do you guys are fucking screwed. What will you do when you no longer have your parents to take care of you?

iam a millennials and i dont live with my perents and it sucks. i hate responsiblity and i hate being an adult. i just want to smoke weed and play video games all day with no worry about rent. FML

>Living in a place full of faggots and chinks
>housing too expensive!!
>I can’t move to a smaller white area, not VIBRANT enough!

I make minimum wage, which is 496 Euros a month.

I've calculated that the bare minimum needed to rent a small one-bedroom place, pay utilities, taxes, maintain my car and maybe spend about 50 Euros a month to go out 2-3 times in a month is a monthly income of 850 Euros.

The only way I could move out of my mum's place is if I found a girlfriend and we lived together. But then one slip up and you're back to square one.

>It's a "DUR ME STEM Y U NO ALL PPL IZ STEM" episode.

Face it faggot, without mommy and daddy paying your fucking tuition and living expenses in college you'd be nowhere. Every successful STEM fag I know had mommy and daddy paying the bills and never worked a real fucking job in their lives.

>$800 is the lowest in the area for a 1 bedroom
>$800
>For a one bedroom
Mmmhmmhmmhmm hehehehahahAHHAHAHMWAHAHAHAHAHAH!
In Jew York City you will hard pressed to find a 300 square foot studio for $800, one bedrooms go for two grand here. Oh and to be clear I'm talking about the unsexy outerboroughs not in Manhattan.

For the record I ain't shitting on your circumstances bro. I'm just saying I'm dying over here please send help, or drop the bomb already and put me out of my misery.

Believe me, I wish I could live on a nice property of rural land, where I could shoot, and hike to my content, but the job market, and ammenities suck outside of the major cities.

>Property is expensive.
even in ireland?

>Be poor person
>not work hard to get promotion or raise
>not work second job
>muh car!
>go out three times a month even though I’m a poor person
>maybe I should cohabitate like a degenerate

>Implying it isn't in some cases a perfectly sensible thing to do.
Families very often shared dwellings until (and sometimes even after) the offspring were married off. In many parts of the world it is still the norm. Leaving home at 18 and staying that way was a boomer meme brought about by certain unusual conditions.

brb, mumsie is calling me for dinner

A car is a symbol of individualism and freedom, I couldn't live without my trusty old toyota
It doesn't even need much maintenance, but I do pay taxes for it (and gas)

not everyone has a good family

>21st century employers
>ever giving promotions or raises instead of hiring the first chucklefuck who replies to an ad and who'll stay for a couple months at best

Have a shit ton of money that would allow me to make actual investments instead of spending so much money on clothes.

Seriously.

So libertarian is just a synonym for giant fucking retard right?

And where would you be getting this money? You people make barely above minimum wage despite being college-educated

To be fair, the only reason so many millennials are ending up with liberal arts degrees is because they aren't college material in the first place, but all the jews throughout high school and media, etc. have told them they HAVE to get some kind of degree

I'm Asian, it is my duty to take care of my parents when they become old.
Me and my brother make good money so we had our parents retire.

This

I was studying Spanish in Spain back in 2012 and various people told me that people are starting to move out around 35. Can anyone confirm this?

>What’s your excuse?

Tradition. I live in the same house with my father. Years ago my grandparents passed on. It was 3 generations under one roof. Before that my grandfather and grandmother had lived with their families with 3 or 4 generations under their roofs. I was there in the hospital room when my grandmother suddenly died. I was the one who rushed my grandfather to the hospital when he died. Then never sat in a old folks home all day with others, effectively warehoused, waiting to die. They lived in the home they bought. We live in the home they bought. We keep it in our line. If I had a sibling one of us would have got another house making our family even larger.

This is how its done. This is how you build your families wealth and how you keep them unified. If the powers that be had their way we'd all be renting and never own anything, and we'd never see our families. Fuck that. Tradition prevails.

And bars in west L.A. frequently ask for head shots when applying to bartend.
Getting a job as a waiter is considered a good job.
It's horrible on the low end.

>DC salary twice the average
>go to Washington to become a "public servant" and line your pockets
remember kids, crime pays

Please forgive me master for not being poor. I surrender to the poor "real job" masterrace. There is no doubt. Poor people live longer. Get more attractive partners. Use less drugs and go to prison less.
My family is scum for whom $8k every six months is not an insurmountable expense and for this crime I will never be a real man
:^)

>"the job market is just really rough right now"

I still live at home.

>No wife or kids. I do have multiple asians that will give me both, but I support 1488.
>Make under $40k doing computer help desk work - Totally easy, work 4 days a week, no work to take home or overtime.
>Have about $50k-$60k in school loans to pay off.
>Bought a house to rent out at $1,000 a month, $500/month mortgage.
>Rental company rents out to nignog. Nignog been there 3 months and I've gotten one month rent. Trying to evict her but she has 10 days to find 1/3rd of the money owed or we can kick her out. She also pulled this shit at the end of the year where the city don't work Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years, which has stretched this out.

Head West young man. Get out while you still can.

>mfw I work at a fucking wal mart an cali and make 10% more than the average wage of my age demo w/ benefits and a decent amount of vacation time

>Owl checks his 10
>He looks at his 2
Smat

A good chunk of them don't work at all

Like this statistic, which reveals shockingly that if you sutract debt from assets most poor people have enough for a Burger King combo meal

I made bad life decision when it came to college and career choice. I fucked up but I'm starting the path of unfucking myself (or at least I hope)

>projecting this hard

middle-class white male who landed scholarships through straight persistence. Worked part-time gigs throughout the school year and saved cash from internships. I'll have my loans paid off after a year of work. Stop being a lazy pussy.

wow that's crazy
I have like $3k left on my school loan but I'm chipping away at that so I'm doing ok for myself

No one is hiring... It's harder where I live locally because they want to hire majority population here, Hispanic, in order to claiming muh minority representation and praise while further making it hard for anyone who don't have a Mexican last name.

I'm just going to join the Air Force as an Officer.

Good the more people not looking for property/rentals will drive the prices down.

>even mentioning Jew York
you deserve whatever you get for staying in that shithole

Thats interesting. Very common among Latino and Asian families.

ITs very different in White families.

You realize the whole move out by 18 shit only started with the Boomers due to low housing costs at the time

Families used to live with each other for generations

>What’s your excuse?

I live in the most expensive borough in the country, and all work around here keeps you at 26k for at least 5 years.

>mfw uni in NZ is average 15 to 20k total over 3 years
>mfw everyone gets an interest free student loan
>dont even have to pay it back if you are unemployed
>dont even have to start paying it back unless you make over 20k
>mfw minimum wage is $16.50
>mfw everyone still poor af because a pound of butter costs $9
>mfw no face
welp thats just the way she goes boys

The shitty economy of my country hit very bad and now i must care for my elderly parents living in their house while working my ass off.

holy fuck even in commiefornia you can get a pound of butter for like $1
how much is your milk? ours is about $3 a gallon right now

Yes.

youtube.com/watch?v=JP_qF5E4w7U

Yeah maybe because it's nearly impossible to even pay rent let alone buying a house.

>"no one is hiring"

I live with my parents and I'm 27. I'm putting away around 30 grand a year to move us all out into the country where I'll have two log houses built. They are hippy boomers that haven't saved a fucking dime in their lives and it's up to me to get these faggots out of this townhouse.

$3.69 for 2l which is about a half gallon so around $7.50 depending on brand

$4 for a gallon here

High cost of housing.
The prices were only 10% of what they were when their parents were buying.

Traditional households should have the children live there until they marry. Unfortunately no one wants to get married, so I don't know.

Hawaii is that bad too. Maybe worse in a lot of ways. Housing is fucking insane and maybe a near or more than half of people spend half of more of their income on rent/mortgage. Housing prices fucking never stop going up here because there is such a finite, limited amount of land that always has cash-on-hand foreigners and trusts ready to buy.

I have no tattoos or piercings you elf nigger.

Maybe you should've studied harder and gotten into Harvard or Yale and you would have a higher paying job and you could afford a house you whiny fucking morons. Whose fault is that? Yours.

Median house price in Sydney, Australia is over a million.

Enough said.

The rent is too damn high

These days I only live with my parents on weekends or on vacations.

Implying any of that will save you from having to work in McDonalds

I rent a two bedroom with my roommate for $800
$400 each with utilities included
This is in a gated community

I don't know what people are complaining about

>"evolving social norms"
>"muh recession ten years ago"

Anything to avoid naming the Jew.

>bought a house to rent out

You deserve what came to you.
