So, this was in 2011. 3 years later on 20 June 2014, it was reported that Guido Westerwelle was suffering from acute myeloid leukemia Guido Westerwelle died of the disease on 18 March 2016, at the age of 54.

I think it would be worthwhile investigating the circumstances surrounding Westerwelles's death, especially how John Kornblum knew that it would happen (see pic)

Of course it was public knowledge that Westerwelle was a nonconformist in german politics and an obstacle to US foreign policy (since cablegate) - but the fact Kornblum knew Westerwelle would lose his life because of it suggests Kornblum knew more specifically WHO wanted him dead.
