Is it a decent job?

Nurses make pretty good money while the medical insurance scam game is going on strong.

It's a good paying job for a woman. For a man, not so much. Do nurses even get 6 figures?

i'd rather have a male nurse than a female nurse.
mostly because out in the field of battle, women lose their cool.
medics need cool, op.

>never make more than 85k/year
>have to clean up shit and piss
>have to give old people baths
>have aids scare every few years
>get told what to do by alpha doctors
>destroy you back lifting obese people
>walk in on homeless guys jacking off weekly
>work 14 hours with no break
>have to stay hours without pay because you didnt finish charting
>have to deal with niggers, beaners, and arabs
literally anything is better

it's ok

If the blessed day of WWIII ever comes, pray you have a good combat medic in your squad.

+: recession-proof, god-tier job security, decent starting pay, can move anywhere and find work,
-: very flat pay scale with no opportunity for advancement, often shitty hours, shitty unpleasant work in a lot of positions

Nurses don't clean up shit and piss, PSW do.

I am in Canada, white male. Colleges here likely have racial quotas, so it would be difficult for me to get in.

true, the techs are supposed to, but if you are a nurse you will clean up piss and shit daily. Also all the indian and muslim doctors (around 25%) have bo

There are some neat opportunities if you're willing to move. Cruise ship for example; work at housing for north american workers in the middle east.

All the male nurses I know are either gay or drug addicts....or both.

I am neither.
I just want stability in life.
I saw many paid relocation jobs for nurses on indeed. I see demand in the US and Saudi Arabia.
If I get the Canadian RN designation, I want to move to Saudi Arabia. It is still OK to be white there, unlike Canada.

They make like 60k a year.
If you become an NP, then yes you do make 6 figures.

60K is fine for me.
I know RNs who got into medical school after nursing.
I am a later starter in life - 30. Just want to know /pol's opinion on this job prospect.

>+: recession-proof
kek

who do you think finances a nurses wage?

here in western europe we have tons of eastern european nurses because eastern euros simply dont have the money to pay them.

so your "recession-proof god-tier job" basically forced them to flee their home and start a new life in a completely foreign country.

If you have all the necessary prerequisite courses to get into nursing school, those same courses may be enough to get you into PA school. Essentially functioning as a physician, less pay, less responsibility/debt.

t. ortho surg PA ($120K per yr)

I’ve always preferred having male medical persons. They’re better at separating their emotions from the job.

Do you mean Physician's Assistant?
I dont' think we have this program in Canada.

In America, they make excellent money starting and have great upward mobility in large hospitals. I have a family friend who moved into a sales position and easily clears 250k a year.

Insecure fags who give me dirty looks when I do my manly job of fixing elevators

I've known two. They're pretty much a necessity because there's no way a 100lb female nurse is going to move a 300lb ham beast.

Move to America.

if you wanna get #METOO'd that'd be a sure fire way

I am not a fag, I assure you.
I wanted to get into "elevating devices tech" by the way, but I need to be sponsored by a union to get into the program. So I want to have, a less manly job, yes, but with bettere college acceptance rate.

Men are better at everything.

If you don't want to deal with surgery, then become an NP. $100k plus guaranteed. Most NPs are women, so male NPs are definitely in demand.

>Talking about combat & war
>Literally at war with France on who invented the white flag

Get fuck m8

you do all the work while the female nurses do half as much and get paid the same, but the pay is good so who cares

I'm a charge nurse. Good thing about being a male nurse is you can advance really quickly. It's a good job if you are willing to take advantage of opportunities. I don't know what it's like in Canada, but I'd recommend starting a part time masters after being qualified for a year. You can advance really quickly, then. I'm using it to angle into specialist nursing. I just want to run my own clinic and undertake research. Nursing lets you do that.

I’m a cardigan intensive care and part time ER nurse and I rake in about 80ish a year. It’s a fun job if you go into the right niche. You can also go back and be an APRN or CRNA and make bank. CRNAs make 160k easily and in places like Montana have an average salary in the 240s.

I know men are better at everything.
But women at a college admission dep don't know that. Women who would be hiring me as a male nurse 4 years down, will not know that as well.
So I want to get an RN and move to Saudi Arabia.

Education is more expensive in the States. I plan to finance mine with OSAPm (Ontario Student Assistance Program).

Doctors are about to get dicked by that one Intel bot. Nurses are going to be all that's left of the medical industry.

you americans dont know how good you have it. in my country a nurse could never earn such figures.

hell its not even just nursing, every job in america and canada gets paid at least double as much as here.

how do you do it? is there such a huge workers shortage in america?

Privatized healthcare

Move to Seattle.
Not sure how it works in Canada, but the requirements to get into NP school are more difficult as of 2014.

Prior to 2014, you must be an RN with a BSN. NP school was 2 yrs, graduate with MSN.

As of Jan 2014, NP applicants must be RN with MSN, 3 yr program, graduate with DSN.

t. married to NP

I Work two jobs, three 12 hour shifts at one job and then 1-2 other shifts at another hospital.

>there's enough employment demand that it can be your ticket into a fully developed nation if your home country can't afford you
how is this a negative?

if you were truly neet/minwage all the way through your 20s, i don't think you have anything to lose.

We need them. Upper body strength. Good guys.

Damn I didn’t know everyone on Sup Forums are millionaires. Complaining about making 60k a year as a 25 year old yeah sounds horrible. The job will literally never disappear and there’s only a shortage of healthcare workers with the boomer generation coming of age. The job is basically full proof male or female you have to be an idiot to say being a nurse is a bad job. But I forgot you all have your own tech start ups and wipe your asses with 100 dollar bills

>how is this a negative?
people in europe usually want to live and die at the same place they were born. moving away is not an option for the majority of people, even leaving the county is considered pure stress.

A great job for good guys.

horrible. so much work.

I have a practical question now.
Since women like to lie and falsely accuse men of sexual assault, how can I secure myself in Nursing School?

I work in hospital admin. Wouldn't dream of being a nurse, the whole branch under the CNO is 95% women. Actual nursing staff is split between 50% southeast asians who are skinny, quiet, and hardworking. Other half are obese white or black women with huge attitude problems. The nurses are insanely cliquey, we lose 2 or 3 a year from bullying or infighting. All of their official and unofficial meetings are complaint sessions. Best practice is to promote a woman from within to be nurse supervisor, then hire an older man from outside to direct nursing. The nurses will eat the supervisor alive within 3 years as she immediately becomes the enemy, but they respect the older man and often snitch directly to him.

I've seen a few male nurses. All different types of guy, usually very nice but often overweight. Haven't met one with a bad work ethic or people skills. They all get a little gay from the working environment it's SO feminized. However they're usually COMPLETELY redpilled from intubating crackhead after crackhead and popping 20 narcan IVs a shift. Plus they all have hilarious stories about the shit they see from patients and staff.

For a leaf fag like you sure.

Compared to a tradesman that make less and works way more hours? It seems pretty decent to me.

They make great money bro, so you just gotta forget old notions of pride and etc and go for the shekels.

If you are ambitious or smart, you can improve your credentials and become emergency room nurse, or other high paying specialty and make crzay money.

very good man,
i'm doing this myself next september,
4 years training,
when the war starts i'll be a medic

pretty much this, you're far better off (thinking of unskilled labor only) literally being a janitor or cook.

/pol is being unusually friendly and gives good advice.
Thank you very much guys.

I was also thinking about moving to a more "European" province, like Alberta to study Nursing.

they expect you to deal with the rowdy/belligerent patients.

have fun getting HIV from an occupational exposure.
