Researchers Want to Use Robots to Treat Sex Offenders (Pedophile)
>Robots and artificial intelligence are the future of our world, and that means, they could be used to protect children in more ways than one. Imagine a world where pedophiles no longer attack children, but instead, they’ll have robot playmates.
>It sounds crazy and in some ways, immoral. However, experts are banking on the idea of creating sex robots for pedophiles in a bid to have them keep their focus on machines instead of children.
>They are calling these machines the Child Set Bots, or CSB for short. You know, anything that has an acronym is proof enough of how serious the idea is. Here’s the thing, the idea to treat pedophiles with robots was thrown around at the Love and Sex Robots Conference in London by robotics philosopher Marc Behrendt of ULB University in Belgium.
>“A CSB – like any other sex bot – would be an autonomous, animated, articulated machine with advanced AI that is designed to sexually assist the human users. At this stage of robotic tech, we are still not talking about self-aware or conscious machines,” according to Behrendt in a statement to Russia Today.
>Behrendt went on to add that child sex robots are inevitable, and as such, countries should set up the ethical framework to make it possible. He believes it’s the best way to protect children from these vampires who call themselves human beings.

Having been a psychiatrist who worked for pedophiles I'm iffy on if this would actually work, I mean sure its worth a shot, but I'm doubtful that it will be as effective as most people think. Many of the pedophiles I've dealt with don't view their pedophilia as a primarily sexual thing, they see it as a weird form of nurturing and bonding, which kind of makes sense when you consider how many of them were abused or molested as children it makes sense that they have a warped sense of what constitutes a good upbringing for children.

Pretty much just like a normal man desires a wife or girlfriend to not only have sex with, but love and protect, many pedophiles want a child not only to have sex with but to care for. Put simply many pedophiles don't consider their actions morally wrong, and that is the issue just as much if not moreso than their attraction to children. Sure the law says having sex with children as wrong but the pedophiles generally see their actions as caring rather than selfish or damaging, and see the law as opposed to themselves being in the wrong, much in the same way stoners say that there is nothing wrong with marijuana.
So I mean good, but don't expect sex crimes to drop off entirely, as long as you have that weird uncle who rarely if ever has a girlfriend, and never had kids, and seems way too interested in spending time with your children children will stille be molested.
