Tsubasa's specific style takes a lot more effort than usual, and the sheer amount of her hair takes probably a fair bit of product to keep clean, shiny, and colored properly. You can't just wake up and roll out of bed without brushing and conditioning it, especially when you're an idol and your appearance is extremely important.

You're underestimating how much of a pain it is to tie a high ponytail neatly. Even after holding the braid in place, it takes effort to brush the rest of her long hair to the back of her crown.
