looks like everything will be just fine now. Maybe Bernie Sanders is responsible for this?

As if it wasn’t totes obvs that the problem in Venezuela was a too-low minimum wage.

Higher minimum wage -> more consumers -> more consumers -> more local bussiness and sales -> more economic growth

You like the 1950's? Well, everyone had pretty high wages then. A very equal society. Not a big difference between rich and poor.

There's nothing to buy though

HAPPENING SOON!

Man oh man I love watching leftist economies spiral into hyperinflation.

>Higher minimum wage -> more consumers -> more consumers -> more local bussiness and sales -> more economic growth

This only works in the context of a healthy economy that could benefit from more consumption. In Venezuela there isn't enough supply and more money will only increase prices.

They Commied their way to Hell.

...

And no jobs to be had.

If I were King Spic I'd establish a secondary "food and essentials" currency that could ONLY be used for basic needs. Take control of all food and basics distribution, production, and retail de jure but leave it to be managed by those running it currently. Force them to accept the new currency and fix prices.

Deregulate everything else except commercial banking. Full ancapistan. Once the Bolivar recovers and the rest of the economy is working, privatize the basic needs sector and make dank helicopter memes.

why would they raise the minimum wage if their is no jobs

You inbred motherfucker artificially raising more wages equals to more inflation and less investment that causes even more inflation.
Wages going to be up by supply and demand are great, artificial increased wages don't.

Because in a (((democracy))) you get elected by doing what the people demand, not what is good for them. 80 IQ beaners don't understand macroeconomics.

It's sarcasm Carlos.

Problem solved confirmed!

CIA still incompetent; dumbasses can't even just with the Third World shit hole. The ghost of Castro slaps the US in the face with his fat Cuban dick... top kek

Now that is what I call progressive thinking

Venezuela is the joke of Latin America. They are fucked to the point of no return. The only way to solve its crisis is by revolution, probably with the help of USA or a fucking cartel who will impose a new Presidente and suck even more resources.

When your money is worth less than toilet paper

This is the most depressing "Christmas" I've had yet desu. I'm glad there's no more empty, souless, and depressing celebrations after today.

What would you do for $100?

I don't care. Commies already disavowed them. Whatever let them die if they're not willing to storm the palace Romanian style and kill the son of a bitch.

>Commies already disavowed them.

Wasn't real Communism, am I right?

And the BBC to write "despite economic crisis", showing that they think "raising wages" naturally means having more wealth, showing how economically illiterate lefty journalists are.

Odds are it's not and my sarcasm detector is great.
Leftists lack a sarcasm detector and I have seen that shit being said so much that it's probably real.

in 1950s the minimum wage was $0.75 an hour per the 1938 act...

I'll send you a picture of my cat.

will you wear an apron let me call yuo mommy and suck your tits

They say it's sanctions made by usa something that usa didn't do. Sanctios are just with high-ranking oficials from maduro regime. Blame in the ghost o"f usa gringos". Maduro was even blaming my country for not supplying them pork legs for christmas dinner.

I remember when this flag wasn't rare.

Have you had to kill anyone defending your cat from being eaten?

what did they use to do? spam us with how communism was great? vfag seeing what pol is all about

No but I think the Chinese people that live next to my aunt stole and ate her cat.

For third time in 2 years...

Adjust for inflation.

so it was 9 bucks. wow way to be a wagecuck

They would post stories about how shitty Old School Communism/Socialism was. What was eerie though: last summer their were alot of Venezuelans talking about how the regime was clamping down on internet access after the riots, then poof they stopped posting.

Nothing happened. People just stopped giving a shit since the protests led to nothing, everybody gave up.

Do you think there will be another wave of protests this year, and how long do you anticipate before monetary/social collapse, or do you think its avoidable?

I don't think people will bother with protests, most know it's all a lie. I honestly don't understand how the economy hasn't collapsed yet. We live in a perpetual state where nothing happens.

Probably banks and investment funds keep buying your national govt. debt. and the oil company bonds

Oh, hey. Problems solved

And 1000% inflation lol

Does anyone have an opinion on the Petrolium based crypto-currency Maduro is creating?

I read recently that China was propping them up or something. Probably bullshit, but makes sense geopolitically.

(Reuters) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro looked to the world of digital currency to circumvent U.S.-led financial sanctions, announcing on Sunday the launch of the "petro" backed by oil reserves to shore up a collapsed economy.

The leftist leader offered few specifics about the currency launch or how the struggling OPEC member would pull off such a feat, but he declared to cheers that "the 21st century has arrived!"

"Venezuela will create a cryptocurrency," backed by oil, gas, gold and diamond reserves, Maduro said in his regular Sunday televised broadcast, a five-hour showcase of Christmas songs and dancing.

The petro, he said, would help Venezuela "advance in issues of monetary sovereignty, to make financial transactions and overcome the financial blockade."

Why are you still there?....Move!, before it's too late...
I mean, if you have PC and internet you have the money to leave the country, move to Bogota, Quito or Lima, don't waste your time, sell your shit and leave

Not a problem. They can simply legislate retailers to have a minimum stock. If it's illegal to operate an understocked shop, this will certainly ensure there are enough goods available for purchase.

You do know how utterly worthless Venezuelan currency is, right?

How about dolarization (not gold-backed to avoid being liberated), extinction of all government functions and the creation of the helicopter ride ministry, funded by international donations in exchange for streaming commie flying lessons?

Thats my plans for Brazil in 2018.

Nothing that can't be solved by legislating it to have a minimum worth.

Cleaned Toilets to flushing an entire country down one. Venezuela Yes!!

Israel was nuked?
