(Hard mode: no changing JoJo from Giorno to anyone else)

I'd have a new member join the team to later be revealed as Diavolo. Maybe have Doppio do it? Would establish a personal connection with the villain and Giorno, which we needed since the only connection was Diavolo and Bruno

What is Araki planning with the Pine trees?

Wouldn't that be weird? He inserts himself into the team so they could deliver Trish, but then he would have to disappear every now and then to contact them, and disappear again to go to the retrieval location.
But I like the idea of the bossu being closer than you think.

I was rereading parts of VA and while the first time I read it I got the impresion that Giorno and Trish are bland (mostly because I was speedreading) I don't have that impression anymore. They're both good characters with their personal arcs and their change in character made perfect sense

It was announced at the Great Festival but King Crimson skipped over the trailer.

She was uninvested and confused until she understood the group's reasoning and their determination inpired her and awakened her fighting spirit (stand). Since then she was a neat character since she started interacting with the crew and grew some balls

Diavolo is by far the most evil main villain in the series and it's not even close

How about have Trish either be the boss or a rival boss to Passione, who is trying to get closer to her dad to kill him and assume power for herself, so she uses the gang to do it for her. To foreshadow these events whenever the group is in trouble some weird time shennangins might occur to get them out, caused by Trish's Formentera Lady. The group also doesnt suspect her of being a stand user and thus lea her straight to the boss

But if I had to change something, it would be not dropping the Fugo traitor plot line. It's sad we'll never see how that would work out as.

Diavolo buried his own mother but kept her alive, killed the guy who raised him, torched his hometown, tried to kill his own daughter, attacked a child and drank his blood and used him as bait, used Doppio as bait and impaled Narancia after he expressed that he would like to go back to school, etc.

Trish was criminally underdeveloped as a character so just felt like a plot device more than an actual human bean

And how after one of his men was fucked up by wasps, he congratulated him for his bravery, promised to reward him, and then slammed him in a door to another dimension (where he probably collided with his alternate self and died, like Wekapipo and Diego nearly did) just so he wouldn't have to deal with him? Oh oh, how about how Love Train was shrinking America's land-mass and erasing vast chunks of it, including people? Or did you even wonder about the morality of making every other country suffer with America's burdens?

Kira was a fucked-up asshole who felt the urge to kill and did so without trying to make excuses for himself, Valentine was a vain, cruel, greedy cunt who was able to convince stupid people he was the true hero.

Diavolo is the second worst villain in the serie, the worst is kars.

His backstory is great, his second personality is appealing but Diavolo himself is boring.

The final fight with him was the most underwhelming final fight in jojo.

Make it longer to flesh out Giorno and Diavolo much more. Make Araki go through with originally having Fugo betray the cast and Giorno having to kill him. Make sleeping slaves mysteriously start near the end and lead up to to the climax every few chapters. Make Doppio appear earlier in the story.

I don't really have much of a problem with GER being stupidly broken, that was the point of requiem. The problem was how quick and sudden the final fight felt.

Why do people think edgy bullshit like Giorno having to kill Fugo is a good idea?

Araki made the right call in not going through with it, the part was miserable enough as it was.

Because it will actually make Giorno do something. Fugo being dropped from the story like that is nothing but a negative to the story. And it's not like that's even out of character for Giorno to do.

Giorno cares about his comrades. Giorno killing Fugo and Fugo betraying the gang is OOC fanfic nonsense and I'm glad Araki didn't go through with it.

No, Fugo being dropped from the story like that actually makes the boat scene meaningful without having to slap on extra meaningless, generic angst. And what the hell are you talking about, killing a former ally is (as we've seen it) completely out of character for Giorno. Remember how he went out of his way to try and preserve Fugo and Abbacchio's lives (even putting them before the mission) in MITM? It'd feel stupid and forced.

Doppio behaves basically the same as the back story but isn't really the same person anymore. Diavolo took the name 'Diavolo' and named him Doppio and made him believe that he was a mafia bossu's most trusted subordinate.

She was a fifteen-year-old girl who'd just lost her mother and never known her father, she'd been dragged into a world full of mafia bullshit where she was constantly in danger of being kidnapped by assassins, and then at the end of it her father betrayed her and tried to murder her right after she'd expressed nervousness about meeting him and the life she'd live from then on. Just because she wasn't born with glass bones and paper skin and had to lay awake at night until her heart-attacks put her to sleep doesn't mean she doesn't have a tragic past.

Sleeping slaves is shown as flashbacks throughout the story(think of it being done like pucci's flashbacks with DIO) where the reveal of who was fated to die happens before Bruno's actual Death during SCR

How do we fix Trish?

Bring back this smug bastard from the early chapters. Giorno is stoic and for his character stoic does not work. All you have to do is make Giorno smug to fix his character. Smug fixes everything.

Have Doppio join the gang so that Diavolo can be closer than they think and constantly keep watch on them

Polnareff remains a cripple but dies in a heroic manner and exposes Diavolo's identity, doesn't become a turtle.
