Akko wants to make the spirit of Bahalois laugh using Chariot's transformation magic. However, Lotte and Sucy are opposed to Akko's idea and they think they should leave the ritual alone.
Akko keeps training by herself and working very hard and Sucy and Lotte begin to feel a bit guilty. However, it's already too late! The festival has just begin and Akko's transformation magic is incomplete!

In the ritual of "sorrow of Baharois", Akko who wants to make Baharoi laugh with a transformation magic. It is spiraling that it is magical to make everyone smile like Shario, but if it is OK to leave the ordinary ceremony as it is, it will be opposed by Lotte and Suush.

It's Enchanted Parade lite. Akko thinks a tradition is lame and tries to change it. Lotte and Sucy are opposed. They arrive at the last minute to help Akko when things look dire.

I normally agree with both of these comments but for all the gripes I have with LWA, I actually like how they've handled Akko's development.

She has a lot of undirected passion but still lacks the discipline and patience to turn that passion into good-old-fashioned, boring and repetitive hard work.

Diana is extremely talented and naturally gifted, but as we've seen in a few scenes, she also puts in the time.

I feel like this show might actually strike a good balance where Akko learns to channel her passion into real improvement while still understanding and compensating for her natural limitations. She also seems to be coming to realize how much hard work Diana has put in. And while she may not ever be able to grasp things as quickly and easily as Diana, she can respect her hard work while still understanding that there is a natural gap in their talents.

Basically I feel like a lesson Akko is slowly learning is that passion without discipline and hard work won't get her anywhere regardless of natural ability.

Well she does talk a big game relative to her abilities. I think everyone still sees that mismatch as proof that she doesn't have a realistic grasp on what she's doing or will be able to do.

You can't deny that Akko, Lotte and Sucy using the Shiny Rod together right after they quarrel sounds like the most likely scenario. It's both the Enchanted Parade set-up and it fits the next Word being "Together we will".
