How silly

It needed to commit to something harder. Either more comedy or more fanservice or make it about plot from the beginning. Or at least make all the episodes as good as the fishing one.

I guess Morgana is a title for a space-time traveler. So when she called Tsubame Morgana, she didn't mean they're the same person, she meant that she's "a" Morgana.

I thought Morgana was a single person too watching the series right until this finale.There need to be series where multiple immortals or time travelers do battle of wits and generally fuck things up in across dimensions.

I don't think making it about plot is likely to have worked. Juggling this many characters and an actual story would probably be a disaster, even with the other teams only being vaguely sketched. Not sure the plot was ever going to be that good either.
And yeah, apparently they already knew what a "Morgana" was when Isami was studying the Fifth Particle. Which just seems weird.
