The problem is that your "peaceful revolution" in Syria was not possible not because of muh ebil Assad, but because the protesters were always a very small, weak and irrelevant minority, just poster boys for the western media. All the real opposition, the one that had an actual presence and strength was an islamist sunni radicals, the likes of Al-Nusra or ISIS.
