they weren't. it was all a joke. every time is now, you do or die or you don't.

Yes. Less brown people. Democrats still supported the working class and wanted rid of illegal immigrants.

Yeah, things were great in the 90's unfortunately the Great War ruined it all

...

the 90s were terrible.
the 80s were great.

...

look at those slaves wearing hats.

...

It was a lot whiter here

Everyone suffers from homesickness for the decade they grew up in.

Don't believe any of it. The 90s were shit. You're living in fascinating times -- enjoy the show.

I was young excited happy ignorant, pcs were just becoming less shit games were new exciting

In 1981 Canada was 93% European

yes, I want to go back.

You didn't have so many goddamn zombies staring at their tiny screens everywhere and the Internet was more of a wild west. Music was definitely better.

what did people do when waiting for people and stuff if they couldnt look down at there phones?

feels like its all been downhill since 2001. and it even got somehow worse since 2008.

Yes the 90s were better

But I don’t know exactly why

I've seen so many accidents happen because of this, I've seen people die because they're glued to their phone screens and can't pay attention, people are so stupid

Well software is full of ads now

>91

>what are magazines
>what are books
>what are game boys

Read a book or listen to music. I swear people today are terrified to be alone with their thoughts.

Was pretty comfy. Not as PC but we didn't know how bad things were behind the scenes.

No internet meant everyone was bluepilled.

>90s
>no Internet
Apparently you were not on usenet in the 90s. It made Sup Forums look child-friendly.

The 90s was not bad, but it when it all started to go to shit

Last full good decade was the 80s

(OP)
Less shitskins. You could watch TV or listen to music and still see mainly white male faces. It's surreal how fast the demographic changes has taking place. Take LA for example, the city was 37.3% white in 1990 and went down by near ten percent to 28.7% by 2010.

dapper

social media

Did they not have internet in Canada back then?
Shit I want to go back then if it means no leafs

Ever wonder what the fuck you would do when doing shit alone that requires you to wait. What did people do without their phone.

Went to get a haircut earlier, sat for 45 mins. I guess people used to read magazines and shit, but everyone was on their phone waiting.

>Go to DMV
>Waiting in line at the grocery store
>Go out to eat

Shit it must've been hell to just sit there and stare

It's just nostalgia. The 90s were just as degenerate as today. Just look at that shit: youtube.com/watch?v=C-u5WLJ9Yk4

They were better because we were kids

1 word. Flanel.

>Shit it must've been hell to just sit there and stare

Not really. We actually talked to people. Strangers. Made real life friends. Because we weren't all walled off in our own little unapproachable bubbles.

>Last full good decade was the 80s

If we had digital music back in the 80s it would have been damn near perfect. Truly an awesome time to be a teenager.

>no coldwar
>no muhclimate shit
>economic prosperity
>internet without normalfags
>no gender bullshit
>people openly laughing at leftards and feminists

>implying people born in the 90's got to experience the 90's

Only rwandans can say the 90's were shit, you're probably an underage faggot or some old sour fuck who grew up in the 80's like the family guy creator

Join the club

Fucking THIS

People who grew up in that time were still and were encouraged to be proud of who they are. Proud to be american, white, and loved their country. I was a teenager in the 90s and truly believe we were the last generation of natural patriots who loved our country, history, and people. The recent red pilling were people who had to be forced to become woke. The juice hadn't fully indoctrinated academia and the media yet. You could speak uncomfortable truths without igniting a bunch of shit head faggot do nothings. People could talk to each other and socialize. You could take a girl out and it would be just you and her. She wouldn't take out a phone to update her instagram or facebook to like farm for self serving attention.

They were infinitely better than today and I'd give anything to have our culture back. If we want to save our civilization we have to address the problems in it first. If we can't do that are we even worth saving at all?

youtu.be/RYbe-35_BaA

that's late 90s and far less degenerate than just about any music video that's played today

I didn't know anyone who owned a computer in the 90's we had to learn how to use them in school, it was my least favourite class I hated computers I thought they were pointless

Yes
Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of shit

>End of the Cold War
>Booming economy
>Going on the Internet was an adventure
>Sense of good feeling that the future was gonna be magical
>Working class was still alive
>Little to no internal crisis other than OKC bombing and Columbine
>Music and movies were much better
>There was still a sense of community since smartphones and social media weren't around

Then 9/11 happened, and people got paranoid while politics became polarized
Then the Recession happened which tanked the economy
Then social media and smartphones turned everyone into loud mouths with a social cause

The late 90s was when nigger music started to take over

I was so happy when all the shitty fucking alt/grunge that had dominated the decade was finally dying off and was hopeful electronica would take over but nope, it's been nothing but nigger shit for almost two solid decades now

we had decent music like suede
youtube.com/watch?v=PX6L65xgOzY

>I hated computers I thought they were pointless

They are

You either look at porn, waste time on places like Sup Forums, give the government all your secrets on social media, or enhance your productivity with no raise for Mr. Noseberg

They're destructive and now you get to carry them everywhere

MTV was a mistake.

>what did people do when waiting for people and stuff if they couldnt look down at there phones?
smoke

Everything seems a lot better once it happened and it didn't kill you. The 90s were really good, maybe the absolutely apex of north American culture and ease. We all wore pajamas almost every day.

Ever heard of windows 95 faggot. Y2K no? Then your not a 90s guy.

Start me up.

Same technology as today pretty much just not as extensive in speed or storage capacity. I fix computer issues based on knowledge I gained fucking with them from the 90s. I grew with the new age have seen the world essentially pre and post world wide web and am more intimately familiar with it than someone born in 1999 or 2000. Born 1983.

no, you socialise or look the trees. My phone has no internet and i still do it

You talked to the person in line next to you like your not some autistic sperg. This is why you can't meet anyone but whore now.

I wanna go back to the 50's.

I'll trade no AC and no internet for a 90% white society.

we smiled at each other

Gas was cheap, rent was cheap, stocks were cheap, computers were basically only for nerds and there were no moms, tween girls, nogs or boomers on the internet.

just move to eastern Europe for authentic no AC no internet 99% white experience

WRONG
Even democrats loved america hated blacks, and wanted to deport illegals in the 90s.

Bullshit. Finding where places are, shopping online, banking and paying bills online, getting instructions for how to fix shit, not to mention e-mail -- these are things you take for granted now, but fuck was it inconvenient not to have them before. Even stupid shit like Wikipedia -- I remember having to look shit up in actual encyclopedias.

As long as you stay off social media and don't waste your time on games, computers improve your life in countless ways.

Magazines, books, newspapers

In the 80s it wasn't. Back when they played music.

Yeah, I was born in 93 so I don't remember a lot of the 90's and my experiences are from a younger perspective.
I wanna go back to the 1910's, the 50's are degenerate

Yes because the society I was raised to thrive in still existed. Political correctness was a joke, personal preference but I loved the music, still major innovation in technology instead of just adding better emojis and other nigger technology, you could still find a woman that wasn’t a completely blown out brainwashed adult child, white people still existed in tv commercials, you never heard of the name Abdul and didn’t know there were different sects of mudslimes much less the differences between them, hard work and proficiency actually did pay off and get you noticed in the work force, and we didn’t know how fucking awful and evil our government really was... that didn’t come till 9/11.

I still don't own a phone, and I still love looking around at the world.

>I didn't know anyone who owned a computer in the 90's

God damn, stop being a leaf.

>Pic related, it's what I installed while waiting for Win95 to be released, sinceWin95 was delayed. Fucking stable af.

No they weren't. Its when society began to unravel. Drug use, single parent households, and all this PC/SJW shit started taking off. Pop culture started to become shit too, as both gangsta rap and grunge rock became wildly popular in the 90s

>the seeds of the Gen Z/NEET lifestyle were sown in the 1990s

Tis true

It was comfier than today. People didn't take themselves as seriously. Less degeneracy in day to day life. No social media. Europe, UK, even America was whiter. People still had hope.

The 90s sucked.

The 80s were fucking amazing.

t. old guy

Yeah, as a kid of the 70s, I have no idea what those buildings are. What a retarded meme.

I learned to type on an Apple IIc...

It was a simpler time. Pretty much it. Most everything else ITT is bullshit Alt-Right revisionist history from manchild flyovers who barely lived outside their trailer park bubbles.

>Were the 90s really much better? If so why?

You could go to the bar and dance with a woman without having to deal with stupid selfie shit.
Plus, say you grabbed her ass. At best, she'd find it flirty and you might take her home...at worst, her boyfriend would kick your ass. Now, you'd be facing jail time and she shamed you across social media.

Movies were great, movie posters were still drawn art pieces. Everything was cheap but there were plenty if jobs and work. Internet was a normie free zone and games were great inspiring imagination. Last real decade of majority whites in western nations. In my school there were around 4 indians, no pakis and no other ethnicities except maybe a black guy. Music was great and people listened to a huge variety of different shit. No texting and most people didn't have mobiles so people actually spoke to each other. LAN games were fun as fuck. Everything was good. We felt safe.

90s were the best time to be a kid.

>The 80s were fucking amazing

Lost my virginity in the 80s to my high school sweetheart. God I fucked her so much. I want to go back.

I haven't owned a cell phone for, 7 years now. I have a home phone though but I will never own a cell phone again
What do you want me to do? Go back in time and force my family to buy a computer so I can say I knew someone with one? The first person that I knew wo got one was my friend, I think we were like around 10? This would have been around 2003

>I learned to type on an Apple IIc...

TI99 4/A for me...

Relax, dude...I'm just giving you shit.

>t. bugman

Turned everyone into a retard who can't function without them. Can't socialize either

Go shit up a rope

Pic is wrong

This is right picture

2018 America is non-white - non-christian nation

>56% "Darwin award of the Year" Land

>I want to go back.
Satan grants your wish.

The Internet was the Wild West. Financial institutions kept credit card holder records in tab delimited databases. Real-time credit card authorization wasn’t a thing and UPS delivered to any address aka lots of free stuff.

I can relate. It would be like me trying to remember the 80's. I was a little fuck then I don't really remember them much. Reagan for example I don't remember much except I do remember my grandmother watching his farewell to the american people message and crying tears of joy. God I felt so proud and greatful to be an american at that time. The world loved us, we were heros and we aspired to do good. My family loved him and half had pictures with him and letters from him. The first major political occurence I truly remember was the gulf war. You probably have 9/11 as your first major political memory.

Reminds me of the Norm Mcdonald part of his Netflix special about his "magic phone"...sums it up about perfectly.

Lol man, I don’t know who wins or loses here

...

Bullshit. I've been online since the Internet was a thing, and I have never had any social media accounts. Only the weak-minded get corrupted by the digital jew. Sounds like that's your social circle.

I am 37 and the 1990s WERE shit. After living through the 1980s any decade after would be a tough act to follow and the 1990s definitely fell short of the mark

>drug use became "cool" again
>being a LGBTQWERTY faggot was tolerated
>AOL rose up and dumped millions of normies onto the internet
>Cold War ended but 101 little piecemeal regional wars filled the void (Yugoslavia, Desert Storm 1, Rwanda, etc)
>Computers got better, but also started to suck more than they ever did (Windows 95, AOL, WebTV)
>cell phones became even more common but selection and coverage was both expensive and rare
>1,001 stupid fads and cartoons to stupefy the masses (tatmagochi pets, Clear Pepsi, yo-yos with electromagnetic clutches, chain wallets
>that fucking Guy Fieri look was unironically cool

Great post.

Completely agree. You sound just like me brother. YOB? 1983 here.

I'm coming, Lauri's vagina!!!!!!

Detroit looks a little different now

I owned all of these things pictured

90s was when all the Mexicans moved to the US. There were plenty of environmentalists and global warming people. The internet was slow and couldn't handle video. Your cable company gave you maybe 30-40 channels unless you could afford Directv. If you wanted to learn something new, you had to hope that your local library or book store had a decent book on the subject. The economy sucked in the early 90s and only did well after that because of the tech boom. People were just as shallow as today, they just didn't have social media to brag about it.

>Lol man, I don’t know who wins or loses here

Probably me.
>I still own that computer. It's packed up in my basement. I'm strangely emotionally attached to it.

Born in 95. Barley remember 9/11, I remember mostly the attitude after it happened. I would have to say 2008 was my first political memory.

Heh...meant "Probably me that loses"...

I can remember a little bit. I obviously wouldn't be able to remember anything relating to computers in this time, I just remember learning about them in school and hating them, but I can remember nobody I knew had one at home.
I do remember being happy to be a Canadian, we had a Canadian flag in our class room and every morning we stood for the national anthem, which we did even when I was in high school I don't know if they still do that. In our office we had a portrait of the queen too but that went away very quickly, I don't remember it just for a few years

You just don't have any friends, bugman

The 00s were also great
The 10s are pretty shitty too.
See a pattern?

It looked different back then too since that's not Detroit
