Vast global changes. Possibly chaos, war, ruin, etc. Possibly a leap toward global government or possibly some next iteration of transhumanism.

Or if we're lucky just sort of a relaxation toward more of a basket of reserve currencies.

Day of rope.

That's when the good times start. Balkenization along racial lines.
I laugh when people say there will never be an ethnostate. It will happen.

>what is gold

Something not possessed by enough individuals to comprise a functional day to day currency outside of possibly a small number of localities. Reserve currency? Historically likely.

But if the day to day currency shits the bed then folks are still going to suffer.

As long as the Federal Reserve exists we can never go back to the gold standard

there isn't enough gold to back all the currency in the world.

Whats next? Isn't it fucking obvious, we will continue "progressing" into pretend money backed by nothing.
Its already here, its called Fiat currency. One day it will simply merge Bitcoin with our credit system and simply call it "credits" all transaction will be done with a card or online information. (90% of it is already that way)

The reality isn't as exciting as you pea-brains pretend. The world is just going to switch to imaginary money backed by nothing, TADA!

The NY Fed is literally sitting on a whole big pile of gold. "they" might go back to the gold standard (at least in part) even if "we" have to keep using funny money of whatever sort for trade.

Hyper inflation in America

undulations, why you surf?

bullets, nigger.

The Fed and Central Banks would no longer be able to manipulate the economy if the gold standard is brought back

They want a system that they can control

End of the American politics for all effective purposes.

>Neoliberals and Berniecrats are fucked because their cheap labor no longer has access to Great Society programs, which means they go apeshit and begin to die off.
>While latter-day Republicans are fucked because their economic policies cannot restore the American economy to its former glory.

The NWO dies with the death of the Reserve Currency, because the American government will no longer be able to afford the excesses and decadence of the society it created.

lets find out. Ive been watching tons of videos on youtube about emerging technologies and it seems like were basically gonna become gods in the next 50 years.

This is the kind of retardation that gives me no hope for America. You cannot control society if there are frequent food riots and money is wallpaper. The Czar refused to surrender control for the sake of his regime until it was too late, and then all hell began.

If the economy at large is still run on some form of fiat that they control then they can continue to control the economy. The gold backing in this age where gold is not really in actual circulation as currency would serve purposes like settling international trade and being the supercurrency of the elites to buy things that plebs like us aren't allowed to have.

And it's not just the fed that has been strategically accumulating both gold reserves and potential future mining production. It definitely has a place in jockeying for geopolitical position in the future. I tend to agree with a lot of Jim Rickards' analysis on this dimension.

We'll be trading bullets, food and drinking water.
The rich will trade cigs, alcohol, and medicine.

>You cannot control society if there are frequent food riots and money is wallpaper.

The Banking cartel doesn't give a shit about how bad things get
Look at the 08 crash that they caused which sent countries like Greece and France into massive riots. They've printed the USD into oblivion and have inflated the largest bubble in the world which is the only thing driving numerous economies. They don't think about the consequences in the long term

Their intent is that the elites will get these things and leave the other 95% of society to be their slaves. Thankfully we'll collapse and Balkanize before that

>They don't think about the consequences in the long term

And that's why they won't survive into the long term user. A new elite will rise up when this one falls.

Maybe if you have bars of gold you can buy the advanced medicine to stay alive. Most of the population is going to be liquidated as it becomes increasingly unnecessary to the oligarchy of elites that get to "ascend" into what they view as godhood.

Kek will return to Party Hard.
Desu.

silver, copper

I can see e.g. 90% "junk silver" coming into circulation in certain localities in the US where enough people have stocked up on it. But I think realistically it'll be a lot more barter-based on the whole, using whatever "official" currency we have left as one of the things that basically gets bartered.

"Surviving the Economic Collapse" by FerFAL is an interesting commentary on what life was like in Argentina after they pulled that 3:1 devaluation some years back. It might not play out exactly like that, but there's a lot of good food for thought in there in terms of what people wound up doing and what he'd have done differently if he'd known what to expect.

Economic crisis. Dollar will be devaluated, people with USD in their pockets would get poor.

What happens to the rest of the world?

This. But for us. They outnumber us 10 to 1

Potentially a global defalationary collapse, since the world is so interconnected, financially. That's why historically you'd be wary of seeing another world war develop or a global pandemic or some other sort of crisis of that dimension, since that's when (((they))) could get away with a global financial collapse without losing power.

>what is gold
A commodity you think is money. It isn't. It was once used as such because it was more efficient than barter. Gold was chosen for being somewhat scare (but not too scare), malleable, and shiny to boot.

All money is imaginary to an extent. It is "real" in that you have faith you can later exchange it for goods and services. You're probably correct. But that's only because others possess the same faith in it.

Gold is still valuable for jewelry (since women like to waste money) and eletronics. It is just another commodity at this point.

Neckbeards like this guy will be shitting themselves cause their 401Ks and SS will suddenly be worthless.

Massive devaluation of U.S. currency and hyperinflation.

Almost happened to Britain during the Suez Crisis

And its one of the reasons Britain went from a world power to beta cucks for the U.S.
