No it's shit, now the dragonballs turning into evil dragons that part was cool

Ya duermete Juan

Yeah I agree the Namek arc was good.

Especially since the original manga's exploration premise got spoiled by rotating locations and the Dr. Slump filler.

It works for an arc but all GT did was combine Z and dragonball together.

This. Searching for the dragonballs in the original was an adventure on it's own. When they became a stupid resurrection device and the plot became: Defeat villain A, move two squares, defeat villain B, while cool, made Dragon Ball lose that magic.

Dragon Ball GT tried to be Dragon Ball 2.0. Unlike Super that is literally a shittier Z2.

I really liked the concept of of their repeated overuse of the dragon balls coming back to bite them in the ass and thought the ending was nice.

...

Doesn't make the show good.

The OP was the only good part of that show.

DAN DAN KOKORO HIKARETEKU

Still better than Super.

There was some cool shit in that show even after they basically gave up and reverted to making DBZ2

>Showing us what Dragon Balls powered by Piccolo are like
>Planet Vegeta's original inhabitants seeking vengeance
>Vegeta being possessed again
>The Oozaru transformation being brought back
>Going back to the original (anime only) imagery of the Super Saiyan
>Super Saiyan 4 being a unique transformation rather than a tweaked version of the last form
>Bringing 17 back and resolving all of that shit
>Super 17 in general
>Overuse of the Dragon Balls being addressed
>The Four-Star Dragon being the only heroic one because he came from the only villainous wish
>The wish for panties creating the only female Dragon lawl
>Omega Shenron in general
>Goku absorbing the Dragon Balls and flying away on the back of Shenlong

Cool shit.

I think if they hadn't turned Goku back into the kid it would have been better received. That just seems like a step too far in revisiting the original Dragon Ball. Oh, and all of the shitty writing and boring episodes that Toei is known for.

Some small part of my brain still thinks Babygeta was an underappreciated design.

I like that he went through all of the Super Saiyan forms, except as he did so he became more mutated. That ugly ass abomination you posted was SSJ3

Of course that's just a rehash of Babidi's possession letting him hit SSJ2, but pretty much everything in GT was a movie-tier rehash.

For some reason I can't stand this show; no planet they travel to is remotely interesting and the villains just feel lame. Super is way more watchable.

Nope nope nope

It was, too bad everyone bitched and moaned and wanted more DBZ power level bullshit.

There actually aren't that many boring episodes. The episode count for GT may be small compared to DB and DBZ, but they had no filler and no dragging out arcs.

Yeah the premise was good, too bad the execution was abysmal. Pan and Trunks were terrible characters and turning Goku into a child was also a mistake.

>better animation
>shows a still frame
Go to bed Pedro.

Such a punk.

>Planet Vegeta's original inhabitants seeking vengeance
remake of Plan to Eradicate the Sayajins OVA (1993 original)
>Vegeta being possessed again
because Majin Vegeta just wasn't edgy enough
>The Oozaru transformation being brought back
which they stopped using because it was inefficient
>Super Saiyan 4 being a unique transformation rather than a tweaked version of the last form
magic pants, fur and red eyeliner are unique, also bad
>Bringing 17 back and resolving all of that shit
all of what shit?
>Super 17 in general
17 was weaker than first form Cell. Suddenly, two 17s are on par with SSJ4 Goku who eventually needs some bullshit reason to defeat him (once again having his 'battle intelligence' set to 0)
>Overuse of the Dragon Balls being addressed
not a bad concept, executed really poorly (see )
The dragons were bullshit too. Toriyama was never good at power scaling, but the dragons just so happen to be as powerful as a SSJ4 and combining all of them suddenly isn't enough to stop a fused SSJ 4.
>Goku absorbing the Dragon Balls and flying away on the back of Shenlong
then bringing him back for some stupid 'future' movie that is as bad as the obvious spinoff episodes Western TV shows have

better than the Gohan-haircut design they had for Vegeta most of the time

GT probably has more consistent animation, but Super at least seems to follow the scale DB was going (from meeting new masters of martial arts, to meeting Korin, Kami, King Kai, Supreme Kai, etc) as far as world building goes. GT essentially wanted to combine the 'looking for dragonballs' part of early DB with the space travel of the Namek portion of DBZ but kinda failed at both.
