Kuroneko is pretty shit too though, that entire arc where she dates Kyousuke just to break up with him at the end as planned was ridiculous. The only reason she's not this show's biggest example of "dragging the plot out for no good reason" is because Kirino holds that position.

She was being selfless. Something Kirino never did. She loved kyousuke as much if not more than Kirino. It's also the first time she really was every happy. She's a poor girl with almost no friends. Yet she decides to give up kyousuke so as not to hurt kurinos feelings.

Losing gives more charm to a girl because you can think about "how it would be like" while the winning one is bound by reality.

The few cases I know where the girl who won is also considered "best girl" by the fanbase are the ones where a third girl surprisingly wins, or where the girl's quality is so high that even the possible ideal endings of the other girls can't beat her. Sometimes both.

Either way, why would I want she to end up with faggot MC anyway? She deserves the better.

Kuroneko and Kyousuke breaking up made complete sense in the story, they had practically no affinity whatsoever and their relationship was carried by the "first girlfriend/boyfriend" high. Kuroneko breaking up in a "self-sacrificing" fashion was redundant and just done to preserve her waifu status when the reality was they were going nowhere and would have broken up the moment the honeymoon period ended anyway.

How good of a person the characters are is irrelevant, they weren't a good couple.
