You ever get the feeling that isekai authors are so socially awkward that the only way they can even imagine hanging out with women is if they're slaves?

Because it's ALWAYS FUCKING SLAVES.

yep. if the woman is a slave she can't NTR you, leave you or reject you. It's literally the ultimate in beta fagotry.

with japan its always slaves, harems, slave harems, and how great japanese food is. with china its face, cultivation, and killing a whole family cause someone slighted the main character.

Haha I wish
Its almost never fucking slaves I can think of like maybe 5 or 6, with Himekishi ga Classmate being the only actually nitable example.
I should get back to reading that actually.

What the fuck is cultivation even?
I always see it tagged, but it's like
>(CN Novel)
>into the trash

this

Signs for identifying bad LNs:

>Isekai
>Slaves
>Elfs, especially on the covers
>Cheats
>Generic nip MC

It's like """training""" except you basically do nothing but pop pills and sit around while pretending you have some deep understanding of the world as your cultivation level (aka your DBZ powerlevel) rises.

>with china its face, cultivation, and killing a whole family cause someone slighted the main character.

hahah. this sums up Chinese stuff well. the slaughter of whole countries or sects just because of one asshat is pretty prevalent in their stuff. So is the endless circle of ever escalating slaughter.

Asshat1 tries to rape MC's waifu
MC slaughters Asshat1
Asshat1's family/sect members try to kill MC in retaliation
MC slaughters Asshat1's family/sect
whichever group left of asshat1's circle (famly or sect) will then step up in retribution
MC slaughters whatever is left
Backer behind asshat1's family/sect now steps onto the scene to slaughter mc and rape waifu
MC powers up and slaughters backer
Allies of backer now step up to slaughter MC in retribution and rape waifu
MC powers up and slaughters allies of backer, down to the last woman and child

The amazing thing is how in some of those stories the MC will even rape the women of those families/sects for no other reason then they're "bitches" and he's the "Good" guy.

Meanwhile nips have slave harems with orgies cause they're too beta to talk to a woman with a choice.

its their version of power levels but it doesnt matter since the main character always has some super special method of cultivating that nobody ever tried before. like everyone thinks hes a one circle but he used his special skill to make his circle tightly woven or dual banded so he easily beats people of the same level.

>Isekai
Isekai in of itself isn't a bad thing if it actually accomplishes something beyond making it easier to self insert.

>less civilized society have slaves
What the fuck, man, this shit never happen, get this fantasy shit out of my chinese cartoons

That's a thing? I've never seen it, explain a little better.

I was sort of expecting something along the lines of the first arc of Everybody Else Is A Returnee.
What's the fucking point if there's no actual work involved in the training?

Your meditate in a special way to level up

Ooooh.

Sometimes they also take drugs

>What the fuck is cultivation even

cul·ti·va·tion
ˌkəltəˈvāSH(ə)n
2. the process of trying to acquire or develop a quality or skill

basically this. only in Chinese wuxia/xanxia stories it means either "training" the body or "training" the soul or "gaining magic powers". It's a catchall phrase for some type of Buddhist style meditation, enlightenment or physical training. In some stories it's aided by "medication" or herbs or medical techniques.

...

Bad isekai is a major trend in LNs. The genre is just littered with terrible entries.

>What's the fucking point if there's no actual work involved in the training?
In pretty much all of the CN novels that use it they state that you actually have to fight people as strong or stronger than you otherwise you get stuck at some point so you can't just sit around forever.

But yeah a lot of people do just sit around absorbing energy from pills and shit. Makes about as much sense as gaining "levels" that make you generally stronger by killing tons of the same enemy in the exact same way.

it's like grinding in a MMO but they put daoism bullshit in it everytime MC hits a new level cap to make things sounds deep and shit
Lately these chink fuckers have been lazy so they just use a game system "caused the system said so" and call it a day.

>itself isn't a bad thing if it actually accomplishes something
Well that could apply to almost anything

Saving slaves is fantasy 101. You cant have a world where murder is allowed without slaves. Doesn't make sense.
Its an easy way to but MC in good light by having him shill modern age antislavery with a katana.

Almost anything that isn't intrinsically bad, yeah.

>Bad isekai is a major trend in LNs
But that's more of a combination of bad LNs and isekai both being really common. Isekai itself isn't a bad thing.

There's a few really good isekai novels like Dungeon Defense or Release That which (neither of which are Japanese heh).

Those are all good things though

But this MC literally murdered a roomful of people, and then a roomful of doctors in cold blood within 10 minutes of arriving to the new world despite being a highschool boy from japan.

Either the guy is a psycopath, or the author is.

I think "Me, Her, and the Ballistic Weaponry [Antique]" has a chance of being really good.
It's an isekai into the far future with a 90's or 2000's anime feel.

Slaves are hot. Do you know what it's like to sexually dominate a woman? The love it. Though guess I shouldn't have asked in this board.

It's both.

It's sometimes slaves, I assume they're socially awkward just because they're authors though.

So, are there any series where the MC isn't a complete whiteknight and treats his slaves like slaves?

that pretty much summed up the mentality of young men in both countries.
Jap has been murrica dog for decades so their men are beta cuck and can't do much shit except for buying slaves. That act literally mean even when you're in a new world you gotta do things by the law. So now slavery is legal hehee time for some elves.
China on the other hand, was bullied last century and they're are now on the rise as a new big bad. So the first things these men did when got "isekai" is raping and killing left and right nonstop

The author is just silly in this case. Why would he make the protagonist a 16 year old cherry boy (in regards to both girls and killing) instead of having him be a late twenties/early forties hardened criminal?

>yeah whatever okay so the 190 cm+ 100kg ripped jap 16 year old martial arts grandmaster totally killed everyone in cold blood with his bare hands
>bare fucking hands
>and then he totally gets two girls
>who immediately want to bone him

But they're just too obsessed with making the characters a safe 16-18 year old age range in hopes of maximum popularity.

Because nobody cares about old people.

If you did that, you'd get a story about a guy out to become the king of bandits

I mean I think in the specific case of this series it's completely reasonable.

They're aiming to summon a person to be used as a weapon in war. A person who they need to use a magic to control due to the danger.

And they summoned psycho killer nutjob man so it seems like their summoning was pretty accurate.

Idk about nips LN but chink has a specific type of WN where MC played the bad guy . Most of them are edge fest though.

>What's the fucking point if there's no actual work involved in the training?

depends on the story.

Some Xanxia/Wuxia make Cultivation the whole story, sort of like how the game world isekai stories make the grinding of levels/skills like 90% of the words. I find the chinese Xanxia/Wuxia stories to vary a bit, the ones that focus on "cultivation" as a game style grinding mechanism are almost universally the ones I can't stick with. Same reason I can't read the "game world" style isekai stories which feature game style grinding and status screens for 90% of the content. It just irritates the fuck out of me.

Warlock of the Magus World

you want a fun drinking game take a shot everytime someone says courting death or you are courting death. youll have alcohol poisoning 3 chapters into any chinese novel.

By itself it isn't but the trend still makes it a valid flag to look out for.

>Knife ears
>good thing

That still isn't addressing the fact that this 16 year old japanese virgin with some martial arts training is a cold blooded psycopath who does not act like a boy in any way or form.

>you'd get a story about a guy out to become the king of bandits
Is that a bad thing?

>Me, Her, and the Ballistic Weaponry [Antique]
That's the one Yoraikun started doing after Sevens right?

Fair enough, but it'd be easier to avoid the disconnect by just not forcing a 16 year old into the role of a veteran killer. At the very least he could've done the standard shitty jap copout of having him be a super old killer who was reincarnated into a younger body, who then proceeds to act exactly like a jap 16 year old cherry boy.

This would've been an okay explanation if not for the author deliberately stating that the vast majority of the otherworlders start out weak and are easily controlled and later on killed. Also does nothing for the fact that he's still a 16 year old with no qualities of a 16 year old other than his virginity.

>Warlock of the Magus World
good one. but then this is a CHINESE story, not a nip story. This is also one where "cultivation" is mostly NOT featured as part of the story. It's even a VERY rare example of a Chinese Isekai story, with alternate world reincarnation. Of course the MC is a fucking sociopath (even before his reincarnation) so...

>not wanting a slave elf as a part of your harem

He clearly has serious mental issues.

Even when he was in Japan he was trying to kill his teacher. He wouldn't join any martial arts clubs because he thought he might get too into it and accidentally kill someone and that's a problem because going to jail would be a pain.

>had eyes but did not recognize Mt. Tai
>inverting black and white
>cover the sky with his hand
>mountain beyond a mountain, sky beyond a sky
>woman showed ankle, she cannot be married anymore

according to NovelUpdates, yeah. But I don't really keep track of translators. There was apparently an absurd gap where the translator disappeared from the internet, so you could hardly say that this work is in some kind of sequence.

Source?

goddamn how do you write that shit and not just wanna kill yourself

having your name attached to such awful garbage. and i bet he aint even gettin paid enough for the shitty rep

I can still self-insert into it though so I'm not seeing the problem

>He clearly has serious mental issues.
The writing doesn't treat them as such.

The whole "killing the master" is a common as fuck trope in martial arts manga, same with the "muh arts are too deadly to use in a school setting".
I mean I have no real problem with him being an edgy schoolkid archetype, but him being able to actually massacre people with no remorse or even batting an eye was a bit much. But if the author actually intended him to be mentally ill he did a piss-poor job at presenting it and setting it up.

Source? google aint helping and i like me some Isekai, even if its a bit bad.

wortenia senki

Yeah, I know that feeling. It's Wortenia Senki.
It's not bad... yet. Besides the author unwittingly making his MC a psycho.

It'd probably be gross and R-rated.
Honestly, it's too risky to deal with because it'll either just be porn or muscular dudes doing muscular things.

I would personally enjoy something with more depth than that--it feels like a bandit king isekai has its limits.

>The writing doesn't treat them as such.
>Besides the author unwittingly making his MC a psycho.

Why do you say the author wasn't aiming for that? It seemed to me like he was. If he wasn't I would definitely agree that the premise is retarded.

You know, just because people take to a life of banditry doesn't mean they're evil to the core.
Besides, just because he was a criminal before doesn't mean he has to be in the new world.

Summon into another world to be made into slave hero, people surprised that he didn't let go with flow

>It seemed to me like he was
Because the only indication that he was, besides the murder itself, is super common tropes for non-psycho martial artist schoolchildren in manga.

>wanting a harem
>wanting a slave
>wanting an elf
You plebeian fuck. Vampire loli wives are the one true way. You may as well as make her your tsundere childhood friend.

>frog in a bottom of a well
>the winner is the hero, the loser is the villian
>this is a world where strength is everything
>as rare as finding a Qilin horn or Phoenix feather

ahhh, the common phrases in all wuxia/xanxia do get repetitive

its either murderous psychopath or pacifist horrified by taking his first life since japan is such a peaceful country then spends a few chapters whining about it

>Signs for identifying bad LNs:

>>Isekai
>>Slaves
>>Elfs, especially on the covers
>>Cheats
>>

Just the Isekai genre itself is dumb and stupid

I think chinese and jap WN authors are secretly in competition to see who can pump out the most repetitive WNs.

Starting the sentence with
>By the way,
but three times in a row

>So, are there any series where the MC isn't a complete whiteknight and treats his slaves like slaves?

in wuxia/xanxia stuff, yes. plenty. some of the mcs are straight up sociopathic rapists. Not all, just some. Others have huge harems, others are weird sexless virgins.

in almost all of them slaughter is just their way of saying hello.

I'd have been 1000% satisfied if the guy had shown some visceral reaction to killing people during the castle escape, even if that was all. Just some acknowledgement that this guy is a human being that, despite his training, had (probably) never killed anyone before.

You know what I've never seen? "She had a fat ass" or anything focusing on the female posterior. I understand asians worship tits, but surely one of these authors is an assman. There are even some in hentai even though it's uncommon, but there are literally none in WN/LN's

Summoned Slaughterer is basically Wortenia Senki, except the main character is definitely a bloodthirsty psycho and the author recognizes this.
It's better in the sense that it's self aware, I guess.

>had (probably) never killed anyone before
Do we actually know this? I feel like it may not be the case but I haven't read the novel.

the chinks like the ass

not the nips though

>character is super pissed, says "good, good, good!"
>frog trying to eat a swan
>bow to me and destroy your cultivation and I'll forgive you

>Do we actually know this?
I don't know about the novel, but if he has killed enough people in peaceful japan as a 16-year old to be that desensitized, that's arguably more unbelievable.

>>bow to me and destroy your cultivation and I'll forgive you

oh man that's atrocious. i kinda wanna see what a CN is like now

anyone else reading Running Away From The Hero! the protagonist is in his 40s not a 40year old reincarnated into a loli. some guy who was reincarnated then they skipped all the growing up bullshit and hes 40 with a well established powerbase and limits. its korean so it avoids most of the jap tropes.

At this point, most isekai is just authors looking to cash in on the trend by maximum pandering to the audience.

nigga chill
punctuation isn't a scarce resource around here

Bad chink WNs are even more garbage than jap WNs, if you can believe it. Instead of one or two hundred chapters of a dipshit MC with every possible cheat wanking over mayo and soy sauce, you have 3000 chapters of the same exact murderhobo revenge cycle process until he being the most supreme being in the multiverse.

I'm currently reading WN isekai where the MC is cursed and gained "Likes NTR" skill.

>Generic nip MC

When are we going to get a Vietnam PTSD Vet

korean comedy

what the hell, why not

is the irony here intentional

At this point you could probably use a markov chain generator to write an isekai novel up to par with this generic shit, if not better.

what the fuck. so now he gets his girl to fuck dudes?

I forgot the title of the LN where a great powerful wizard accidentally turned into a little girl, and there's no way to revert it back.

Then she tries to adjust with her(his) female body, like having a hard time to take a simple piss because she has no idea how a female body work.

demon lord's urban development
the girls are all his creations, and they're enslaved into loving him. there are parts that just talk about him hugging them and enjoying being hugged by cute girls and it's gay, just really pathetic. i could feel the author's own wish fulfillment fantasy and it gave me the creeps

It's fairly entertaining. Imagine being this guy in a new world: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Skorzeny
(a Nazi SS officer who later trained Jewish special forces)

If the title's trying to be meta like having NEET/Hikki or cheat in it.

>She Professes Herself Pupil of the Wise Man
Something like that I believe. Dicca is adapting a manga for it.

I kind of felt the same way reading Re:Monster.

>A girl's hand is really soft!

>Dicca

Is it trap porn?

Did she fully embraced her being as a cute girl and ended up with a guy?

we should get a mid 20's isekai victim who has suffered thru a generic isekai in his teens and know how it plays out

Anyone know the name of the one where the guy reincarnates into his dungeons and dragons character?

Yes, the setting is as follow
>MC is summoned by Goddess of Darkness
>MC is blessed with Musketeer class, but cursed with "Likes NTR" skill
>If the MC have sex with girl on a day other than Day of Darkness, the girl will gain a curse too
>MC doesn't know that part at first, so her girl is cursed with "Immoral" curse
>The goal is to undo the curse in land of darkness, so they travel together and stuff happen.

He killed terrorist and children since 5 years old with his bare hands.
