Dungeon Meshi

How do you think the story will develop based on the latest chapters? It does seem like they're setting up so that both groups will meet eventually, maybe then Laius' party will change their mind about going back up the surface.

I really hope Laius kills the annoying psycho nigger.

Laius' party is stuck for now, the dungeon layout is changing so the shortcut and main path aren't usable.

I think we will have a third chapter in a row about Kabru's party, this time meeting the orcs as the orcs move back to the village. This will for sure cement his mindset, with the idea being Laius is supporting orcs and helping their village.

I don't expect the groups to meet until its time to fight the mad sorcerer.

I don't think Kabrus party will fight against Laius', or at least they won't meet in a condition that will make it possible for Kabru to fight them. Rather he and the french samurai will search for Farlyn, and the mangaka will use this situation to show that she has changed to a dangerous beast, which will almost destroy both parties.

>Kabru's party calls Farlyn a monster that should be put down in front of Laius.

They won't even come back as ghosts.

wtf wasnt this about cooking

whats all this about people killing each other

Silly user, wanting to read a dungeon cooking manga for the cooking. It's about story now, and dark things.

Dunno but it feels like it's coming to a close within 20-30 chapters or so. Not sure what they'd do after dealing with the sorcerer. Farlyn a cute though, I wish she was in the manga more.

Someone still has that picture of murder hobos drawn by the author?

Do you think meat grows in trees?

another manga goes down the drain

Laiushills get OUT of this thread

Your false god has been exposed as the monster he truly is. Soon Kabru will deliver justice.

GIVE ME INCEST!!

OR GIVE ME DESU.

Fuck off nigger, Laius is /ourlad/.

>Finally gets licensed in spanish
>They choose the most retarded localized title for it
Fuck this gay earth.

Doesn't Kabru have a hateboner against nobles or something? I guess the children of a small village chief would qualify as something close to that.

Wasn't it "Calabozos y Dragones"?

Kabru is like griffith if he was a nigger and a bad fighter

>bad fighter

Our boy Kabru is operator as fuck

In my country the title translates to "Gluttons and Dragons", which is alright I guess.

I don't know, but I seriously hope the endgame isn't Laius going nuclear after the death of his sister

>pick up a manga
>it's amazing
>finish reading all the released chapters
>excitedly wait for more
>suddenly you have no idea what the fuck is going on anymore

every time

Is Farlyn going to become an insane dragon/human hybrid in slutty scale armor?
My dick hopes so, anyways.

>Our boy.
Nah. Lannisu is our boy.

That's the D&D spanish translation.
Maybe they choose Tragones y Mazmorras because 'mazmorras' is a synonym of 'calabozo' and 'tragones'(guzzlers) sounds like 'dragones'.
Still a stupid title, they could have went by "Delicias del calabozo" and it would be closer to the original title.
Manga industry here is beyond retardation.

Kabru's a great fighter, though.

He's a shit monster slayer.

PvP vs PvE

"La Venganza de Montezuma" would fit better

I dont think they can defeat the sorcerer anytime soon. The powergap is too big for that.

I doubt there will be random powerups that will be big enough nor can the Meshi team get powerful enough in sorcerers own dungeon. They cant rescue Farlyn without dealing Sorcerer either.

I think they will kill or maim Dragonlyn without killing the sorc. What then? A timeskip? Will Farlyn live without Sorcerer herself? Who will keep the dungeon alive? Who gets the spell of immortality?

The serie will spawn at least 50 chapters or more if theres no rushing. But it will go down like this

>Original party meets Drakelyn
>Realize that its her thanks to the mark. Marcille rationalizes that they have to deal with the sorcerer
>If they kill the sorcerer, Fairlyn dies for good as spell of immortality in dungron would break. Thats not an option for Laius

The great question: Will Farlyn die in the end?

>A, No: Black elf lives and comes with terms with Kings death in some way.Nobody gets spell of Immortality, authorities start cracking on the party if the serie continues, if not then nobody finds out about the deal

>B,Farlyn dies: Black elf gets it , Laius heroes party emerges as bittersweet heroes. Marcille becomes dungeon master and gets Sorcs tome after which other elves start cracking on her for the spell

And a joker

>Farlyn gets it and her soul is binded to the dungeon
>Laiuses party explores world outside the dungeon to get stronger
>Comes back and makes Mad sorcerer bend the knee and ressurect her. Moralfag ending, black elf lives because the party doesnt have Carbons
>Cue elf giving up his tome and spells to Marcille, same shit as in Bs end

To be homest it all depends how much authot wants to write this. Is there any info on that? Id imagine it might be B or the joker as it offers room to a sequel. Actually, joker is pretty likely if author wants to "milk" this even more.

It does have potential for it too

All we know is that dark elf said that he would change her shape to something that would help her do her task better than just a normal looking human woman. Hopefully Laius can still recognize his sister.

angry doggo calm down

Author enjoys her grimdark moments, if you have read her previous works. My bet is that Laius manages to slay Dark Elf, becomes the new king of the dungeon, and spends the rest of eternity mourning/guarding his sister-dragon.

Marcille goes mad with knowledge and stays in the dungeon reading the forbidden tome, and eating anyone she comes across.

Both dorf and halfling die, the first victims of many to come.

>only Mexico speaks spanish
Americans are really this braindead?

who else? brazil?

do cute girls die in the manga?

Remember, they can pass the paintings again on the way out and learn more useful shit.
Also Farlyn's level of magic talent or even greater may be present in Laius, just not awakened yet.

no

Holy shit is this going to be the new HELK? Do someone even remember that shit? Funny manga with started as a parody goes all GRIMDARK and serious

Yes

yes

...

NO, user. No deaths whatsoever, this is obviously a noblebright fantasy for children.

Brazil speaks huehue, not spanish.

I'm waiting for it to get more chapters. I'll probably pick it back up after a year.

>hopped on the boat for comfy cooking DnD
>dark times ahead
>manga goes the full tragic end route

Its pretty grimdark from the start too but wailing of the dead and the struggle of the living is overshadowed by food

It was pretty light-hearted about death in the earlier chapters. Remember when the orcs massacres an entire tavern and the party was okay with it? Death didn't mean much, even Farlyn being digested wasn't that urgent. It's much more serious with death now, even though the mechanics behind it are the same.

Neh man, I remember when they found the dead man in the cockatrice chapter, shit was hilarious and very lighthearted, yeah the humor was macabre at times (the fake Laius in the painting) but it was always just humor

I thought it was just a sad fact of life and them being practical/helpful, not funny per se.

Stop bringing shame to your shitty educaiton system.

That's because the shady customers of the den are still close enough to the surface that they could be resurrected by corpse hunters.
Deeper down below, where death is far more likely to become permanent because of no corpse hunters finding your body in time to resurrect it before it decomposes, it might be more problematic.
Namari, the female dwarf does say that many treat death as some kind of inconvenience inside the dungeon, simply because resurrection is possible there and rather easy compared to other places.

So how long till she makes the dragons/her minions go up and get Derghal's body?

Next stop: CANNIBALISM!

The body is dust
Baka user

It worries me how easy it would be to suddenly make everything grimdark and edgy as fuck
>Chillack betrays everyone to save his own skin
>Marcille gets corrupted by dark magic
>Senshi goes full cannibal
>Laius goes crazy with grief due to death of dragon imouto

I know that feel
I fished up all chapters in which Kabru's party appears just to remember why they even existed.

>Expecing justic from a brown person

>implying they have to fight the sorcerer to win
They'll win by helping the sorcerer come to terms with the loss of her (his?) beloved king. Everyone will be happy.

>taking out a bunch of unprepared dudes
>good fighter

>Passing on the Master of the dungeon and dekked oit party fighting

Never

I'm fairly certain Farlyn is going to get the dungeon in the series endgame, she'll probably be the key to taking down the sorcerer- I'm guessing Marcille will devise a way to break the sorcerer's hold overr her while Laius and the rest of the party distract and/or occupy the Dragolyn.

In the immediate future, I'm guessing the Laius party is going to be stuck in the city for awhile as the layout of the dungeon keeps changing. Laius will probably pick up rudimentary healing abilities by the time the Samurai and Kabru make it to their floor.

We could go one of two ways from there- either the series goes immediately into the endgame, or all three parties return to the surface. Perhaps after encountering Farlyn once in her mind controlled state.

Depending on the situation Kabru might try to attach himself to the expedition, suspecting that he can use everybody to become the master of the dungeon in the end.

Chilchak wouldn't do that. He's demonstrated several times that he really cares about his friends.

Yes, but they got resurrected again so it's okay!
..well, some of them atleast

when the fuck are they gonna get back to the main party? i'm getting sick of the narcissistic boss nigger shit

...

Am I the only one who hates party #2? Bunch of faggots.

Why would you hate Mister Tance's party with Kikki/Kakka and Namari?
You dork.

Mostly because Namari is shit.

Posting undeniably best girl

best girl is here

I want Cabron to get gobbed.

But the oni is in only 1 of those panels...?

...

you mean Oni-girl

...

...

I know I'm late here, but that escalation from food recipes to necromancy recipes really put me on edge.

It does feel like the author is sorta-clumsily transitioning from a short story format to a longer multi-year plot line by introducing villains and more parties, but it's still entertaining. For one thing, I'm actually worried about Farlyn. Not many "rescue the guy" shonen arcs I've read actually get you worried about the guy they're rescuing.

Pretty sure the author wasn't thinking the manga would get popular when she started out. Remember she only did single chapter thingies earlier.

...

>You will never bond with you elf waifu by reconstructing the bones of your dead sister while covered in bloody gore.

Might as well kill myself.

Honwstly though, we see romance in this series but I don't think Laius and Marcille will ever go past a sort of estranged friendship.

I agree. Laius is too obsessed with monsters to care. Which means he's gonna get with the Oni

there's still the elves and the governor after the dungeon, I wonder if/when they'll send their own parties or armies. We also haven't seen Kiki and Kaka in action too, which might be possible if their contractors (forgot their names and species) do continue their research.

Mr. and Mrs. Tance are gnomes.

>The pilot chapter is actually the epilogue of the story

I wonder when and how will him learning healing magic become relevant, and what will be Kensuke's role (hope that it appears again, and that it hasn't outlived its usefulness). It could react to Farlyn, for example.

Kensuke is still around since they never got around to eating him and Laius didn't have a weapon replacement. I wonder if he'll get a level up and actually be useful in combat.

Maybe you should stick to english and abandon your shit language cabron.

This dragon is cute.

...

Was it cannibalism?

speaking of the paintings and death, I remember that the matter of death was presented as more serious when Namari told about not relying on ressurrections (and how it becomes more difficult to ressurrect a body past some missing percentage; it's still possible iirc, but requires good enough magicians for that); the fact that people can be revived in the dungeon made me ask myself, why only the adventurers from the outside get revived, but not the original inhabitants? Maybe the dungeon itself is a result of a failed revival attempt (the king, if he wasn't an illusion from the sorcerer, might've been revived temporarily and the ressurrection spell wore off, or he died the moment he left the dungeon -- no idea why he would prefer to die than to stay on his kingdom though)

he might be the one to be betrayed, which would be ironic (for the sake of irony), considering how he told Marcille to not trust people who want to help others without somehow benefitting from that

Why didn't Farlyn's teleportation spell work for her too?

should Kabru try to fight Farlyn (when she's supposedly reunited with Laius), it would be awesome if she has access to monster summoning (even more awesome if her stand-- I mean, one of her summons is the red dragon), while Laius becomes the buffer/healer for the mobs. While Kabru is experienced with fighting humans, having to fight mobs of monsters might put him at disadvantage.

Or, the four parties (Laius', Kabru's, Sureau's, Namari's) and optionally, the orcs too, defend the dungeon together against both humans and elves (after, and if Kabru is certain that the dungeon won't become a threat to civilians).

I forgot if Senshi went with Laius to the surface, or if he (at least temporarily) parted ways, if it's the latter, he might join Kabru's party so that we can get back to weird monster cooking. Unless Sureau's party has an eastern counterpart to him, even though Senshi also knows some asian recipes.

Nah Senshi went with them too because he needed to restock.

thank you Sup Forumsdventurer!

I also wonder if the monsters stop existing if the dungeon master dies (seems like the dungeon's discovery date isn't specified, but should've been long enough for Senshi to have moved there and started living there by himself), which could cause Kensuke's death.

possible causes: Not Enough Mana (tm), or she was hungry.

If you're talking about the time when they had the chance to do so, they were in the middle of recovering since just fought a dragon. They didn't clean up the magic circle because they didn't expect anyone to be down there with them; let alone the mad sorceror that they completely forgot about. It was at that night that they were attacked by the dark elf so whether they plan to cast teleport or not, they were ambushed during sleep before they could do so.

I think that user was referring to the first chapter where Farlyn teleported everyone but herself.
