Kimi no Na Wa

Have you seen it yet, Sup Forums? Better not miss the chance of a lifetime watching it in theaters. There's only a few days left!

Seriously, it's for your own good. Who cares if you go alone? Just do it.

I will wait for the BD. Normalfags leave their house to watch anime - I won't stoop down to that level.

>Going alone
Honestly who doesn't have an anime buddy these days? I hear normies talk about anime all the time at my job and this movie is pretty entry level.

Saw it for the third time today. It feels like it gets better with each viewing. Like, you know a when a certain scene is going to happen, you kinda build it up in your mind and so when it finally happens, it actually makes you tear up. Pic related and the I love you scene actually made tears fall down on my face when I built it up, when I just gotten misty in the first two watches, but this time the floodgates just broke.

The law cares if you go alone, dumbass.

All of my anime-buddies are, well, online. The only real life friend is six hours away cause college and stuff.

This movie made me like that country dialect. I found it annoying before but Mitsuha and Sayaka made it cute.

Some irl friends and I all watched the watermarked version separately, and we're going to the theater this weekend. Gonna be fun.

Not worth watching in theaters. I'd rather have my money back and just watch the 720 rip at home. Basically same thing and don't have to deal with "muh feelz" people around me.

I might watch it again tomorrow. It will be my last chance in this town and if I don't, some hipster cinema in Massachusetts is gonna have it show for a week.

Gonna be an hour drive but I heard some anons drove 9 hours from Canada just watch it so it's no big deal.

>irl friends
>friends
>irl
>watched the watermarked version separately

>theater is almost always empty
>only going to rewatch it once on thursday which is the last day for showings
I feel like I wasted an opportunity

At least you won't have to deal with others laughing inappropriately.

Watch it twice in one day. Do it.

The first time I watched it I loved it so much I could not stop thinking about it. I just sat down, listened to the soundtrack, and replay scenes over and over again.

So I got up and went to the theaters again to rewatch a later viewing.

Why would I?

Mitsuha loves doing spit play with faceless ojiisans!

Worked at a movie theater for about a year. Trust me anons, no one gives a fuck if you go alone. Co-workers would go to movies by themselves after work all the time. I can't even remember how many single tickets I sold/ripped. Workers don't care, Movie goers don't care, only YOU care. Now really, are you gonna let an outdated social peer pressure keep you from going and watching a movie that you love, that last time you'll see it in theaters? If so you really are pathetic.

My local theater has a couple only policy

saw it at an arthouse theater near my workplace, decent sized crowd and we all had a blast. shinkai art is so damn glorious on the big screen.

they must be broke as fuck, at least they make a killing at the food stand

I think that's the point. Don't movies only make revenue from the concessions, and not get any percentage of the movie itself?

Is it just a meme now? People have been in love with this movie for too long.

Greatest moment of my life when I convinced the girl I like (who doesnt like anime) to go see this movie with me.
She didnt like it, but I did.
At least I didnt have to be a weird ass NEET watching a rom-com by myself in the theater!
The boob grab scene was awkward though...

Saw it in theater, it's okay but it's really a
normalfag grade movie. If you can't watch it just wait for the BD or watch Tamako Love Story it's basically about as good.

Brought my mom and sister to watch it.
They loved it.

Saw it today for the second time in Seattle.
At the marker drop scene someone in the audience very audibly gasped.

tamako love story was amazing....that kawaii ending and the perfect transition to the credits with the song - truly a masterpiece.

There were a couple of whores in the back who laughed at the marker drop where I watched it.
I just want one viewing without anyone laughing, fuck.

Overrated Garbage

Spirited Away is still way better

I'm fine when people laugh at the funny parts that were clearly intended to generate laughs.
But laughing at the marker scene is inhuman.

Probably because people actually got to watch it now that it's more widely available, and the constant threads on Sup Forums probably made other people watch it too.

At least, that's what happened to me.

>memeazaki
>spirited away
>not nausicaa

>Mitsuha

Any Miyazaki movies (except wind rises) still better than this meme movie "Your Name" user.

6pm showing mostly groups and couples. Early filled with 引き籠り. Think I know what time I'm watching.

At least say whisper of the heart, mononoke, or naussica.

Even if they played it in my country, there's no way I'd watch it crammed in a cinema with filthy commoners and loud white trash/gypsies.

I'm patient so I don't mind waiting for the BD.

Watching this in the theater was an horrible experience. Those idiots keep laughing and talking during the all movie.

I think this was everyone's experience, user.
I wish they'd just fucking shut up and watch the movie.

>Spirited Away
>not Howl's Moving Castle

I didn't see it when it was playing in the UK and now I regret my decision a little, although I'm still sure I'll enjoy it more in the seclusion and comfort of my own home rather than with other people around me; I would feel too awkward and wouldn't be relaxed.

Hi, reddit.

Reserve G7 I dare you.

>Ask my mom and my little sis to go watch it with me
>"No user, I love you but we don't want to watch little girl porn"
It's kinda sad, isn't it

Howl's Moving Castle definitely isn't

I live in Belgrade and they don't show anime movies in here.

Sorry Makoto, I can't get past the no-singles policy.

Were either of you guys at Southcenter? The 5pm showing had a lot of loud laughing

>going to watch it alone for the 5th time
>ticket seller says "going to see it again?"
>now I'm to embarrassed to go back because they know me already.

fuck my life

Someone post the retarded "its me" face

>go on day one
>special show room, $2 discount
>tiny screen and 30 or so seats
>sold out
>moved to a "real" room for the rest of the showings
Im upset.

So how is the dub, actually? Is it worth watching? I've seen the subs three times but I kind of want to give the dub a try, since they bothered making English songs for it too and all.

No fuck off. I'll never see it.

its good for a dub

No glorious cloud porn in BD form, not going to bother to watch.

youtube.com/watch?v=9PVG8XCQK0o

What the fuck, just a couple of notes in and tears started welling up.

I don't remember anything that keeps giving me this much of an emotional impact.

Nigga who cares. Are you going to see or interact with the staff outside that theater? You are wasting energy worrying about a group of people who don't matter to you.

Saw it last week.

8.7/10

Great movie, just a little too long at the end with to many twists and climaxes, it got tedious.

>it's too confusing for my autistic brain to handle so I'm going to fault the movie for it instead.

Did I fucking say it was confusing?

Is that you, user? Want me to bring you a bento?

>Not using the electronic kiosk to buy your tickets

>8.7
>not 9.314159

I want to give it a shot too but I don't want to not hear Mitsuha's qt Japanese voice. And from what I saw of the English trailer she sounds a bit too cutesy.

>too many twists and climaxes
What the fuck does that even mean.
There can only really be one climax, and everything else was pretty standard for the usual engagement curve. The final meeting wasn't so much climactic as it was just a very emotional resolution.

Who's going to see this tomorrow in Toronto?

I don't go to the movies alone and I have no friends.

The BD will be a better experience anyway.

with extra sausages please

I did and it was boring as fuck

just got back from seeing it in honolulu.

>showings have gone down to 1 theater in my area

Blame Funimation for this.

>chance of a lifetime
To waste 106 minutes of your life.

I've got time

...

You're retarded spirited away is got cut down to the bare minimum from a 3 hour long script. The latter half of the movie is a mess. Still a great movie but the story is usually the weakest part of a miyazaki film.

Your Name has a way better story.

Yet you choose to waste more time on an anime imageboard. I'm proud of you, user!

I bought mine at southcenter for the 5pm viewing. Only ten people there.

At least, it's in one theater

I am going to watch it subbed Thursday. Sadly, I'm used to watching films alone now, so finding someone to watch it with isn't a problem. I know it's hard, but I hope some of you will someday be able to stop letting your loneliness stop you from doing things you want to do.

There are people that don't have a single showing.

>I know it's hard, but I hope some of you will someday be able to stop letting your loneliness stop you from doing things you want to do.

Sup Forums is too stuck in their autistic ways to ever attempt to socialize and then blame their loneliness on others.

moviegoing is not an inherently social activity. sometimes i want to just sit in peace and quiet and absorb something in solitude, is that so sad?

Everything was pretty expected and good for a dub, except Mitsuha's voice. I guess since Mitsuha has the cute country dialect, they wanted something different from a typical cute voice, but it doesn't work like the Japanese version.

See, that's the problem. Watching anime has made me have impossibly high standards for girls, to the point that I don't want to even associate with them or even bother doing anything with them if they aren't perfect in my eyes.

I'm not an autist, my job forces me to be an extrovert even though I'm 100% an introvert, so I can at least act properly in public. I have a stable income, home, car, and /fit/ but my mentality is so fucking broken I can't see myself not being alone.

I want someone like Mitsuha. This movie only strengthened my feelings of wistfulness. Real girls are trash. I want a girlfriend, sure, but I doubt there's any 10/10 qt who has a strong, determined and kind personality who doesn't drink, smoke, cheat, lie, go out all the time fucking random strangers, all the while tugging along a plethora of mental baggage bullshit.

I guess this is why I've spent almost everyday going to the theaters to watch this film. It's the only time I feel truly happy.

Nausicaa, the movie anyway, always felt too shallow to me. Princess Mononoke does what that one tried to do much better.

Going to a movie alone was one of the best things I ever did for myself. Now I don't have to worry about finding someone who actually wants to watch the movies I want to see, I don't spend money on concessions, and there's no distractions as long as the rest of the audience isn't shit.

I really like this band rendition of Zenzenzense. Really adds an energy too it. I'd love a properly recorded version.

There's actually plenty of them, but good girls get taken fast. Or rather, they don't tend to stay single for long.

I mean, you could always try moving to Japland or something, I guess. Places where attitudes towards romance are more conservative. But the point of it is that feeling like you deserve that shit is defeatist and overly judgemental.

Improve yourself as a person, and you'll have better opportunities and attract better people, men and women. If you're not the platonic ideal of a man, who are you to defend perfection? Taki broke time and space to save his waifu, after all.

He's talking about friends too, you autist.

>Normalfags leave their house to watch anime - I won't stoop down to that level.
If your waifu can go out then so can you

Australia's no-singles policy for theatres is strictly enforced. I wish I could go, but I can't.

>Sup Forums memes a meme story into reality
>it becomes the best-selling anime of all time

wew lad

>tfw 2 theaters that show weeb movies (one was showing Kizumonogatari Part 3, another was doing both the sub and dub of Your Name) are a mile apart and only a mile away from my place
>they're the only ones in my state that do this

Just say you're entering ahead of your mate, that's how I got in for the Koe no Katachi screening.

>Australia's no-singles policy for theatres is strictly enforced.
U wot m8?

It's important to have a partner to watch your back in the dark theaters, lots of dangerous wildlife to be found under the seats. It used to be a recommendation by the authorities, but a deadly carpet snake attack last year changed it to a compulsory regulation.

>still no kizu part 2 in canada

>local cinema showed the Madoka films, One Piece Gold, and other misc anime garbage
>but not this

movie is overrated as fuck
when will the eternal shilling end

If you're living in some shithole like Queensland maybe, but it's different in the civilised parts of the country.

the only one here. that i can tell, is dubbed. fuck that
